ATM 망에 대한 트래픽 제어의 문제점 분석 (Traffic control issues for ATM networks)

  • In this paper, we survey traffic control issues for the B-ISDN based on the ATM. We first investigate traffic descriptors to represent the characteristics of various ATM traffics in a standardized form. Also, we examine key issues related to the connection admission control, usage parameter control, network parameter control, priority control, and congestion control.

Strengthened and flexible pile-to-pilecap connections for integral abutment bridges

  • Pile-to-pilecap connection performance is important as Integral abutment bridges (IABs) have no expansion joints and their flexible weak-axis oriented supporting piles take the role of the expansion joint. This connection may govern the bridge strength and the performance against various lateral loads. The intention of this study is to identify crack propagation patterns when the pile-to-pilecap connection is subjected to lateral loadings and to propose novel connections for improved performance under lateral loadings. In this study, eight different types of connections were developed and modeled, using Abaqus 6.12 to evaluate performances. Three types were developed by strengthening the connections using rebar or steel tube: (i) PennDOT specification; (ii) Spiral rebar; and (iii) HSS tube. Other types were developed by softening the connections using shape modifications: (i) cylindrical hole; (ii) reduced flange; (iii) removed flange; (iv) extended hole; and (v) slot hole connection types. The connections using the PennDOT specification, HSS tube, and cylindrical hole were shown to be ineffective in the prevention of cracks, resulting in lower structural capacities under the lateral load compared to other types. The other developed connections successfully delayed or arrested the concrete crack initiations and propagations. Among the successful connection types, the spiral rebar connection allowed a relatively larger reaction force, which can damage the superstructure of the IABs. Other softened connections performed better in terms of minimized reaction forces and crack prevention.

  • 데이터 감시(AUDIT) 기능이란 분산 실장 되어 있는 데이터들을 대상으로 데이터 이상을 진단하고 불일치 데이터를 검출하여 이를 일치시키는 일련의 작업을 말하는 것으로 데이터 불일치로 인해 유발되는 시스템 문제를 최소화시키는데 목적을 둔다. 본 논문에서는 ATM 교환기의 연결 데이터의 대부분을 차지하고 있는 PVC(Permanent Virtual Circuit) 데이터에 대한 감사 기능 지원 방안을 제안하였다. 즉 고속/저속 가입자 링크에 대해 일정 시간마다 감사 기능의 주기적 수행과 운용자 명령어에 의한 즉각적인 감사 기능을 제안하여 PVC 정보의 불일치로 인한 데이터의 손실 및 시스템 장애를 최소화 할 수 있게 하였다. 또한 감사 기능으로 인해 연결 제어 프로세서와 DC(Device Controller) 사이에 송수신하는 많은 IPC(Inter Processor Communication) 메시지가 연결 제어 프로세서의 부하에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 분석하였는데, 시스템 부하와 거의 무관하게 연결 제어 프로세서의 부하가 일정함을 확인하였다.

A Cascaded D-STATCOM Integrated with a Distribution Transformer for Medium-voltage Reactive Power Compensation

  • This paper presents a novel integrated structure for a cascaded distribution static compensator (D-STATCOM) and distribution transformer for medium-voltage reactive power compensation. The cascaded multilevel converter is connected to a system via a group of special designed taps on the primary windings of the Dyn11 connection distribution transformer. The three-phase winding taps are symmetrically arranged and the connection point voltage can be decreased to half of the line-to-line voltage at most. Thus, the voltage stress for the D-STATCOM is reduced and a compromise between the voltage rating and the current rating can be achieved. The spare capacity of the distribution transformer can also be fully used. The working mechanism is explained in detail and a modified control strategy is proposed for reactive power compensation. Finally, both simulation and scaled-down prototype experimental results are provided to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed connection structure and control strategy.

옥상물탱크 경유에 따른 수돗물 수질 변화 및 직결급수방식 도입에 의한 수질개선 효과 연구 (Water Quality Alteration during Passing through Small Water Tank and Improvement of Tap Water Quality by Direct Connection Service)

  • In order to compare the effect of water quality on two service systems, tank and direct connection service, we selected randomly 30 rooftop tanks installed in the buildings with five or fewer floors, and collected water samples from each tank as well as tap water by direct service. At the same time each tank was investigated on their cleanliness and sanitary control. 30 water samples from direct service met Korean Drinking water quality standard. But 5 tank water samples(17%) were not able to meet Coliform or Total Colony Counts standard and free chlorine of 12 tank water samples(40%) were less than 0.2mg/L. Also Fe, Turbidity, TOC, Total Algae in tank water were higher than tap water on direct service. We concluded that thorough health control of water tank is necessary and conversion into direct connection service results in improving tap water quality importantly.

단음절 합성단위음을 사용한 시간영역에서의 한국어 다음절어 규칙합성을 위한 음절간 접속구간에서의 에너지 흐름 제어에 관한 연구 (On the Control of Energy Flow between the Connection Parts of Syllables for the Korean Multi-Syllabic Speech Synthesis in the Time Domain Using Mono-syllables as a Synthesis Unit)

  • 본 논문은 시간영역 상에서의 단음절 단위합성음을 사용한 다음절어 합성에 관한 연구이다. 특히, 파형 연접시 접속구간에서의 에너지 흐름의 형태를 제어하기 위한 연구이다. 이를 위하여 시간영역 상에서 추출한 운율요소 제어용 매개변수1)를 사용하여 제어하였으며, 음절간 파형 형태의 접속규칙을 도출하여 합성시킴으로써 에너지 흐름의 형태를 시간영역 상에서 제어시킨 결과를 제시하였다. 실험결과, 단음절 단위의 저장된 파형을 연접시킴으로서 발생되는 에너지 흐름의 불연속성을 제거할 수 있었으며, 또한 합성음의 음절 및 자연성이 향상되었다.

  • 초고속 통신망에서 터널링 기법은 네트워크 인증 및 데이터의 보안 지원에 있다. 이를 위해 IPSec, SOCKS V5 및 GRE 터널링 프로토콜 등을 사용하고 있다. 본 논문은 초고속 통신망에서 특정 IP 대역에 대하여 라우팅 루트를 변경시켜 유해 서비스 접속 차단 및 이용자 Needs에 따라 특정 서비스에 대한 라우팅 루트를 변경시켜 이용자가 원하는 선택적인 서비스 제공 기반을 구현하고자 하였다. 따라서 GRE프로토콜을 이용하여 GRE의 동작 원리를 측정 분석하고, 그 결과를 접속 제어 및 인증 기반 서비스에 적용하고자 한다.

Advanced Field Weakening Control for Squirrel-Cage Induction Motor in Wide Range of DC-Link Voltage Conditions

  • This paper proposes a field weakening control method for operating an induction motor with a variable DC input voltage condition. In the variable DC voltage condition such as a battery, the field weakening method are required for the maximum output power. The conventional field weakening control methods can be used for operating the induction motor over the rated speed in a constant DC-link voltage condition. However, the conventional methods for operating the motor with the variable DC voltage is not suitable for the maximum output power. To overcome this problem, this paper proposes the optimized field weakening control method to extend the operating range of the induction motor with a rated power in a limited thermal and a wide DC input voltage conditions. The optimized d-axis and q-axis current equations are derived according to the field weakening region I and II to extend the operating region. The experimental results are presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • This paper is concerned with the change of joint rigidity in estimating the degree of semi-rigidity of connections and the buckling load in a single layer latticed dome. The estimations are based on information about the ratio for the rotational stiffness of the connection to the flexural stiffness of the member and the minimum eigenvalue of a structure for pinned, semi-rigid and completely rigid cases, respectively. Connection characteristics are reflected in the ratio control of joint rigidity for the DOFs to be related using the spring element by FEM.
