  • In this paper, we describe the design methodology and specifications of the developed module-based bedside monitors for patient monitoring. The bedside monitor consists of a main unit and module cases with various parameter modules. The main unit includes a 12.1" TFT color LCD, a main CPU board, and peripherals such as a module controller, Ethernet LAN card, video card, rotate/push button controller, etc. The main unit can connect at maximum three module cases each of which can accommodate up to 7 parameter modules. They include the modules for electrocardiograph, respiration, invasive blood pressure, noninvasive blood pressure, temperature, and SpO2 with Plethysmograph.raph.

  • Large hospital designs try to accommodate functional needs and spatial organization. The purpose of this study is to propose an effective compositional method by horizontal interconnection of public circulation spaces with 'hospital street'. 'Hospital street' and network of public circulation spaces are major elements of consideration for the design of large hospitals, which not only connect functional components but also provide satisfying environment, amenity and patients' life.

  • With the arrival of ubiquitous networking environment, it has been needed to build up the u-infrastructure for railway, and so the realization of ubiquitous rail system could be preferred. We have studied the direction for development of technology for realizing u-rail system through the analysis of the condition and demand on railway system, and investigated the requirements, level of technology and applicability of information infrastructure for realizing u-Rail. And also analyzed the technology based on railway information to determine the role of existing information system and connect it, which is adequate for u-Rail and the project selection.

  • It is recently trend that local government which introduce the BIS is increasing steadily. Communication is inevitably necessary to offer a data of a collected bus position to transportation center and supply construed information. Until now, most BIS connection research is actively in data of collecting, processing, offer but Research is Relatively insufficient on communication mode to connect it. Therefore, this study is achieving applicable communication mode on BIS of present common use inning that communication mode. Study resulting, characteristic of BIS communication mode is analyzed that send-receive of short packet data happens frequently and It is inevitably necessary to synthetically analyze economical side, authoritativeness side of communication, introducing communication mode.

  • In the design of telecommunication network, the network configuration using hubbing topology is useful for designing and managing the network efficiently : i. e. all of central offices (COs) are grouped into clusters. Each cluster has one hub consisting of large-scale transmission facilities like digital cross-connect systems and ATMs. In clustering process, the community of interest and geographical factor should be considered. However, there exists a tradeoff between two factors. One is to minimize total link costs for geographical factor and the other is to maximize the total intra-cluster traffics for community of interest. Hence, this can be solved by multiobjective linear programming techniques. In this paper, the problem under considerations is formulated as two p-median subproblems taking into considerations total costs and total intra-traffics, respectively. Then we propose the algorithm to solve the problem based on the concept of cost-traffic tradeoff. The algorithm enables to identify efficient cost-traffic tradeoff pairs. An illustration is also presented.

(4+n)-noded Moving Least Square(MLS)-based finite elements for mesh gradation

  • A new class of finite elements is described for dealing with mesh gradation. The approach employs the moving least square (MLS) scheme to devise a class of elements with an arbitrary number of nodal points on the parental domain. This approach generally leads to elements with rational shape functions, which significantly extends the function space of the conventional finite element method. With a special choice of the nodal points and the base functions, the method results in useful elements with polynomial shape functions for which the $C^1$ continuity breaks down across the boundaries between the subdomains comprising one element. Among those, (4 + n)-noded MLS based finite elements possess the generality to be connected with an arbitrary number of linear elements at a side of a given element. It enables us to connect one finite element with a few finite elements without complex remeshing. The effectiveness of the new elements is demonstrated via appropriate numerical examples.

  • In this paper, dynamic track tension fur high mobility tracked vehicle is investigated by multibody dynamic simulation techniques. This research focuses on a heavy military tracked vehicle which has sophisticated suspension and rubber bushed rack systems. In order to obtain accurate dynamic track tension of track subsystems, each track link is modeled as a body which has six degrees of freedom. A compliant bushing element is used to connect track links. Various virtual proving ground models are developed to observe dynamic changes of the track tension. Numerical studies of the dynamic track tension are validated against the experimental measurements. The effects of pre-tensions, traction forces, fuming resistances, sprocket torques, ground profiles, and vehicle speeds, for dynamic responses of track tensions are explored, respectively.

  • A prototype of the feeding-milking robot was developed in the Hungarian Institute of Agricultural Engineering in 1988-89. Before starting with the operation tests the cleaning system had to be elaborated . The cleaning system has two parts. Those are the complete cleaning of the system, producing a practically sterile state, as well as flushing through the milking device between milking of two cows. Separate electronic sensor development was necessary for both system which can connect to the control system of the robot. To clean the system pneumatic air input was applied. As an effect of the local adjustment of the electronic control system optimal flow conditions can be formed what is more favourable comparing to the earlier solutions of cleaning due to the mechanical effect. In the flushing through overpressure air is applied. The air and the cleaning liquid input duration can be adjusted to the local conditions. The electronic control unit can be connected to the electric ircuits of robot.

  • To connect the gap on the contours at the summit area, we propose the linear interpolation in the polar coordinates. Tn the experiments of applying both existing algorithms and a proposed method to some graphic images, the proposed method generated curves that average MAE was 1.940 pixels. In particular, our method with MAE of 1.240 on real map image was superior than the others. Also by generating new curves with neighbors-resembled appearance, the contours were reconstructed seamlessly.

  • A traffic flooding attack is an attack type that interfere with normal service by running out network bandwidth, process throughput, and system resource. It can be recognized intuitively by network slowdown, connect impossibility state and detected more exactly by collecting and analyzing packets that generate traffic flooding. In this paper, the packet analysis scheme is proposed for the more precise detection.
