고강도 콘크리트의 부착할렬기구에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Bond Split Mechanism of High Strength Concrete)

  • For the prediction of concrete-steel bond ability in reinforced concrete, many countries establish specifications for the pullout test. But these methods hardly to consider many parameters such as strength, shape, diameter and location of steel, concrete restrict condition by loading plate, strength of concrete and cover depth etc, and it is difficult to solve concentration and disturbance of stress. The purpose of this study is to propose a New Ring Test method which can be rational quantity evaluations of bond splitting mechanism. For this purpose, pullout test was carried out to assess the effect of several variables on bond splitting properties between reinforcing bar and concrete. Key variables are concrete compressive strength, concrete cover, bar diameter and rib spacing. Failure mode was examined and maximum bond stress-slip relationships were presented to show the effect of above variables. As the result, it appropriately expressed general characteristics of bond splitting mechanism, and it proved capability for standard test method.

  • The practice of splicing reinforcing bars in reinforced concrete structures to manage insufficient bar length is a common approach, which is mainly due to transportation limitations on bar length. The splicing of reinforcing bars side by side offers a simple and economical solution to the problem of continuity. This paper examines the influence of different structural parameters such as concrete cover, lap splice length, shear links confinement and concrete strength on the lap splices based on an extensive experimental database of laps and anchorage. The current study shows that increasing the lap splices beyond 50Ø has no additional benefit for increasing its strength. The results also show that relative to the measured stress, specimens with larger concrete side covers shows higher splice stress compared to the samples with smaller concrete covers.

Belite 시멘트를 이용한 고성능 콘크리트의 철근 부착성능 실험연구 (An experimental study on Bond strength of Reinforcing steel to High-performance Concrete using Belite Cement)

  • Bond strength of reinforcing bar to high-performance concrete using Belite cement is explored using beam end test specimen. The key parameters for the bond test are slump of concrete, top bar effect, and strength of concrete in addition to concrete covers. Specimen failed in the typical brittle bond failure splitting the concrete cover as the wedging action. The test results show that for the group with portland cement I using superplasticizer additional slump does not decrease the bond strength of the top bar is less than bond strength of bottom bar, but the top bar factor satisfy the modification factor for top reinforcement. The result also show that bond strength is function of square root of concrete compressive strength and cover thickness. More detailed evaluation will be conducted from the test specimen with high strength concrete using the belite cement.

콘크리트내 염분침투 모니터링을 위한 부식 센서 개발에 관한 기초적 연구 (A Preliminary Study on the Corrosion Monitoring Sensor of Chloride Permeation into Concrete)

  • Corrosion sensors were devised to develop a system whereby the depth of chloride permeation from concrete surfaces can be monitored in cover concrete of reinforced concrete structures. For making sensor which is similar to rebar author uses Screen printer machines, Ag paste and Fe powder. Appropriate portion of Ag and Fe is over 1:2. The resistance of sensors increased as the degree of corrosion increased. And according to cover depth author suggests sensor system which has a demanded cover depth. It was therefore confirmed that the corrosion sensor can monitor chloride permeation by change of resistance.

장부철근의 전단저항에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Shear Resistance of Dowel Bars)

  • 이 연구는 철근콘트리트 부재에서 철근의 장부작용에 대한 구조 변수들의 영향을 고찰하기 위한 실험적 연구로서 이전의 연구에 이어서 2개의 철근을 매입한 42개의 시험체를 콘크리트의 피복두께, 철근지름 및 철근간격을 주요 변수로 하여 실험하였다. 실험결과로부터 모든 시험체는 피복두께의 증가에 따라 파괴하중에 이르기까지 거의 선형적으로 거동하였고, 철근지름과 철근간격의 증가에 따른 장부력은 거의 영향을 받지 않는 것으로 조사되었으며, 실험값은 제안된 회귀분석값과 White의 제안식값에 비교적 근접하였다.

  • In this study, on the basis of the results of the field survey and the theoretical consideration for Korean Standard Specification for concrete durability and maintenance, the following conclusions are derived. From the survey, the prediction equation of carbonation depth for the southwest region in Korea is experimentally proposed, $y_p=5.865{\sqrt{t}}$, which predicts about 60mm of the carbonation depth for the concrete structures of 100 years, a 1st class of target endurance period, under a combined deterioration environment like a marine environment. Considering that the marginal value for a carbonation depth limitation under very severely marine environment is 25mm, in accordance with the Specification, it is found that the predicting carbonation depth for the concrete cover depths, 100mm and 60mm are 63mm and 29.4mm, respectively. In conclusion, according to the equation and the Specification, it is strongly required that the reinforced concrete structures with the cover depth under 100mm have to make a protection from combined deterioration factors by any methods like a surface coating, an increment of cover depth or an application of a special concrete.

콘크리트 노출 교량 바닥판의 상태평가 기법 (Condition Evaluation of Bare Concrete Bridge Decks)

  • '80년대에 건설된 고속도로 교량은 별도의 교면 포장을 실시하지 않고, 상부철근의 피복두께를 마모층 개념으로 4cm 증가시켜 건설되었다. 약 15년간 공용 후에, 이러한 콘크리트 바닥판 상면에 손상이 일부 교량들에서 발생되었다. 이와 같은 손상이 발생한 중부고속도로상의 한 교량을 대상으로 현장 비파괴조사 및 염화물 함량실험 등을 실시하여 손상원인을 규명하고 평가방법을 정립하고자 하였다. 현장조사 결과, 교면의 손상은 상부철근의 피복두께가 부촉한 부위에서 염화물 침투에 의한 철근의 조기 부식이 주된 원인으로 나타났다. 따라서, 이와 같은 콘크리트 바닥판에 대해서는 우선적으로 차량탑재형 GPR을 이용하여 상부 피복두께를 조사하고 충분한 두께를 확보하지 못한 부위에 대해서 부식전위 및 염화물 함량분석 등을 실시하여 유지관리 대책을 수립할 필요가 있는 것으로 판단된다.

  • 도시철도 지하구조물에서 중요한 열화 중 하나인 철근부식은 철근의 부피 팽창에 의해 콘크리트의 피복층의 균열 또는 표면박리, 박락 등을 초래하여 철근콘크리트 구조물의 사용성과 안전성이 저하된다. 본 연구에서는 부식환경에서의 도시철도 지하박스 구조물을 대상으로 철근부식으로 인한 콘크리트 피복층의 균열발생 위치에서 철근의 팽창율을 측정하고 이를 바탕으로 철근부식으로 인한 콘크리트 피복층 들뜸 및 손상에 대한 분석을 수행하였다. 부식된 철근의 방사형 변위 분포 모델을 산출하고 기존 제안식과 비교, 분석하였다. 또한 대표 단면을 대상으로한 수치해석(역해석)을 수행하여 부식철근의 방사형 변위장에 의한, 철근의 불균일한 부식팽창을 해석모델에 적용하였다. 수치해석 결과를 바탕으로 철근부식율 진전에 따른 철근콘크리트 구조물의 균열 및 피복층 박리의 영향을 해석적으로 도출하고 현장 시료와의 비교를 통해 수치모델의 적정성을 입증하였다.

Correlation between chloride-induced corrosion initiation and time to cover cracking in RC Structures

  • Numerical value of correlation between effective parameters in the strength of a structure is as important as its stochastic properties in determining the safety of the structure. In this article investigation is made about the variation of coefficient of correlation between effective parameters in corrosion initiation time of reinforcement and the time of concrete cover cracking in reinforced concrete (RC) structures. Presence of many parameters and also error in measurement of these parameters results in uncertainty in determination of corrosion initiation and the time to crack initiation. In this paper, assuming diffusion process as chloride ingress mechanism in RC structures and considering random properties of effective parameters in this model, correlation between input parameters and predicted time to corrosion is calculated using the Monte Carlo (MC) random sampling. Results show the linear correlation between corrosion initiation time and effective input parameters increases with increasing uncertainty in the input parameters. Diffusion coefficient, concrete cover, surface chloride concentration and threshold chloride concentration have the highest correlation coefficient respectively. Also the uncertainty in the concrete cover has the greatest impact on the coefficient of correlation of corrosion initiation time and the time of crack initiation due to the corrosion phenomenon.
