The literature reveals that service quality is critical determinants affecting customer satisfaction in the retail industry. Recent online B2C studies also show that service quality significantly influences online customer satisfaction. However, research on analyzing antecedents to determine the service quality level of online shopping has not been sufficiently reported. Moreover, the offline synergy effect on the Internet shopping mall has been presented mostly at a conceptual level. The purpose of this study is to investigate key managerial variables exploiting offline synergy, including pure online attributes, that impact on service quality of the click and mortar Internet shopping mall. A survey was conducted for empirical validation of the hypotheses. The results indicate that core offline synergy factors significantly enhance the perceived service quality level of the Internet shopping mall. Implications, limitations, and future research directions are also discussed.

The hydraulic design optimization and performance analysis of mixed-flow pumps for waterjet marine vehicle propulsion has been carried out using mean streamline analysis and three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code. In the present study, the conceptual design optimization has been formulated with a non-linear objective function to minimize the fluid dynamic losses, and then the commercial CFD code was incorporated to allow for detailed flow dynamic phenomena in the pump system. Newly designed mixed-flow model pump has been tested in the laboratory. Predicted performance curves by the CFD code agree very well with experimental data for a newly designed mixed-flow pump over the normal operating conditions. The design and prediction method presented herein can be used efficiently as a unified hydraulic design process of mired-flow pumps for waterjet marine vehicle propulsion.

This paper proposes an enhanced transport protocol for multipeer communications. It is assumed that there exists a transport connection owner that takes the roles of the establishment, management and termination of a transport connection. The proposed protocol classifies the data transfer type into simplex, duplex and N-plex multicasts and provides several transport services to support various requirements in group communications. The general operations and reliability controls of each transfer type are different from one another and carried out by a shared control tree. The QoS negotiation is performed during the creation phase. The notification of negotiated values is followed by an acknowledgment procedure for confirmation. The four-way handshake is introduced. After negotiation, such a resource reservation protocol as RSVP can reserve system and network resources according to the arbitrated values. This paper suggests a conceptual model of the transport layer and its protocol behaviors over the IP multicast and RSVP network.

Previous research on online health (e-health) information was primarily focused on consumer information search behavior and information quality. Although studies addressing online information quality have flourished, they have yet to thoroughly examine whether consumers actually use the information they search. The purspose of this study suggests a conceptual framework that examines the potential antecedents of a consumers' willingness to depend on e-health information as an indicator of the consumer's trust of the provided e-health information. The proposed antecedents include healthcare product involvement, online skill level, perceived quality, and credibility of the source. Using structural equation modeling on online survey data, seven hypotheses, which describe the relationships between the variables of the model, were tested. The results indicate that consumer willingness to depend on provided e-health information was significantly influenced by the consumers' perceived quality and credibility of specific e-health information. Consumer involvement in healthcare and their online skill-level, respectively, also positively related to perceived quality and credibility regarding e-health information.

This study generated a framework to help academicians understand consumers' cultural values and global-mindedness Especially, this study affirmed the importance of fashion involvement in evoking global-mindedness when consumers have strong traditional values. A conceptual model with non-traditional and traditional values as exogenous variables, global-mindedness as endogenous variable and fashion involvement as mediating variable were created for the study. Data from 224 female college students were analyzed for empirical study. Results indicated that college students showed higher level of non-traditional values than traditional values. Non-traditional values had significant direct influence on global-mindedness whereas traditional values did not have significant influence. Traditional values as well as non-traditional had significant influence on fashion involvement. Fashion involvement significantly affected global-mindedness. Both non-traditional values and traditional values had significant positive indirect effects on global-mindedness mediated by fashion involvement.

Recently It becomes a rapidly growing concern to find effective ways of managing IS development projects as the projects increase in many organization. This paper focuses on developing an integrative management framework for IS development project in contingent perspective. The framework is based upon contingent relationship between management dimensions of IS development project and the characteristics of the task replaced or supported by an IS. Management dimensions of IS development consist of mode, content and process. Task characteristics which are considered as contingent variables include project size, unstructuredness level, hierarchical level, interdependence level and system innovativeness level. The data used for validating this conceptual framework are collected from 119 IS development projects in 70 Korean business organizations. One-way ANOVA and T-test are employed to test the hypotheses.

인터넷을 기반으로 하는 전자상거래 환경에서 데이터 공유 문제를 해결하기 위하여 XML을 이용한 시스템들이 적용되고 있다. 하지만 서로 다른 DTD를 기반으로 작성된 응용 시스템 경우에는 의미에 대한 공유가 이루어지지 못하게 되므로 XML을 이용한 데이터 공유 및 교환은 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 X3.285에서 제시한 개념적 메타 모델(Conceptual MetaModel)을 토대로 데이터 레지스트리(DR)모델을 구축하고 전자상거래 표준 프로토콜(UN/EDIIFACT,XML/EDI, OTP)들로부터 공통된 데이터 요소를 정의하여 데이터 레지스트리(이하 DR)를 구축하였다. 구축된 DR 은 서로 다른 형식의 전자상거래 시스템간의 데이터 유통을 가능하게 하고, 데이터에 대한 식별 및 등록 서비스 기능을 제공하게 된다. 따라서 웹 환경에서의 DR를 기반으로 하는 다양한 전자상거래 응용 시스템 개발 및 운용이 가능하다.

Fifty chemicals are currently classified as human carcinogens based on epidemiologic and animal data. Humans are daily exposed to them from various sources of exposure via inhalation, dermal contact and oral ingestion. To reduce cancer risk to man, these human carcinogens should be appropriately regulated and monitored environmentally or biologically for routine human cancer risk assessment. A number of mathematical risk assessment models have been introduced, but any realistic and relevant model system is not available for humans. A mechanistic process for human cancer risk assessment was comprehensively reviewed and problems were also discussed. Here, a new conceptual approach using epidemiology and biological human monitoring was suggested for the most relevant method to study human cancer risk assessment.

Site characterization for decommissioning Kori Unit 1 is ongoing in South Korea after 40 years of successful operation. Kori Unit 1's containment building is assumed to be mostly radioactively contaminated, and therefore radiation exposure management and detailed contamination investigation are required for decommissioning and dismantling it safely. In this study, site-specific Derived Concentration Guideline Levels (DCGLs) were derived using the residual radioactivity risk evaluation tool, RESRAD-BUILD code. A conceptual model of containment building for Kori Unit 1 was set up and limited occupational worker building inspection scenario was applied. Depending on the source location, the maximum contribution source and exposure pathway of each radionuclide were analyzed. The contribution of radionuclides to dose and exposure pathways, by source location, is expected to serve as basic data in the assessment criteria of survey areas and classification of impact areas during further decommissioning and decontamination of sites.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of relationship orientation factors on customer satisfaction and loyalty in Internet shopping malls. Based on previous exploratory work and a review of the literature of relationship marketing, six key factors of relationship orientation construct are identified: trust, bonding, communication. shared value. empathy and reciprocity. And a conceptual model is developed and seven research hypotheses are empirica1ly examined using structural equation modelling. The results show that bonding, shared value and reciprocity has statistically significant effect on the trust of online customers and trust has a positive influence on customer satisfaction and loyalty in Internet shopping malls. Theoretical. managerial and research implications are discussed.
