Design Feature-Based Jetfighter Shape Modeling

  • A jetfighter shape modeling method based on design features is researched, to improve the efficiency of shape modeling in the stage of conceptual aircraft design. The aircraft's general design features and shape parameters, including geometric and position parameters, are described. The coordinate systems of the entire aircraft and its components are defined. As a sample of local shape, a method of inlet intake modeling is introduced. The whole process of the modeling method is proposed. Three examples of different jetfighters are listed, to describe the achievement of basic layout, which includes four main elements. The Fusion of Components can be achieved by regulating the details of the sections of the fuselage. Sample Cases of typical layouts are shown to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, which provides the basis for further analysis and optimization.

판매원 브랜드 동일시가 개념적 유창성, 서비스 만족도, 브랜드 평가에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Salesperson Brand Identification on Conceptual Fluency, Satisfaction, and Brand Evaluation)

  • Purpose - As the role of salespersons in retail stores has expanded from selling products to sharing brand experiences with customers, the importance of research on the effects of salesperson-brand relationships has grown. The purpose of this research is to investigate the influences of salespersons' brand identification on conceptual fluency and customers' service and brand evaluations. It was supposed that salespersons' brand identification is affected by brand knowledge, which is a core dimension of internal branding. Research design, data, and methodology - The author developed a structural model in which salespersons' brand knowledge influences brand identification, hence customers' perception of salesperson-brand image congruence. And it is hypothesized that salesperson-brand image congruence influences conceptual fluency which affects customers' satisfaction and brand evaluation. Data were collected from five department stores in Seoul. Results - First, salespersons' brand knowledge was found to have a significant effect on brand identification. The more a salesperson knows about the affiliated brand, the higher her level of brand identification. Second, salespersons' brand identification influenced salesperson-brand image congruence. Third, salesperson-brand image congruence had a significant effect on brand conceptual fluency. Customers who perceive salesperson-brand image congruent are more likely to process information easily. Finally, conceptual fluency was found to be a significant determinant of store loyalty and brand value evaluation. Conclusions - The results of this study verify importance of salesperson's brand identification on customers' service and brand evaluations. To enhance salespersons' brand identification, retailers should emphasize the importance of internal branding and communication, especially by sharing brand vision, values, and identity with employees at customer contact points. Also, as brand conceptual fluency is a significant determinant of customer responses, retailers need to deliver consistent messages through various components of store environments, including salespersons' attitudes, appearances, and manners, as well as physical store design. With a deeper understanding of the effects of salesperson-brand relationship and brand conceptual fluency, retailers will be able to create more effective brand strategies to enhance their performances. Future studies should consider data from various retail types, such as discount stores, to generalize the findings.

  • 본 연구에서는 유역 물수지 모의를 위한 개념적인 토양수분모형이 제안된다. 모형은 지표면에 떨어지는 강수량이 지표면 유출, 습윤, 기화, 침루 등으로 분할되는 과정을 모의한다. 경험식으로 추정된 연별 기화량, NRCS-CN 방법으로 추정된 월별 습윤량 및 이 두 가지가 모두 주어진 경우를 구분하여 모형의 매개변수가 각각 추정되어 모형의 성능을 평가한다. 연별 기화량과 월별 습윤량 자료 모두가 모형 보정에 적용될 경우만이 보다 합리적인 강수분할이 모의될 수 있음이 분석된다.

환자중심성의 개념적 구성 요소: 환자와 가족구성원의 관점 (Conceptual Constructs of Patient Centeredness: Perspective of Patients and Family Members)

  • Purpose:The objective of this study was to identify the conceptual constructs of patient centeredness from the perspective of patients and family members in Korea, and to compare them with those included in the Picker Institute framework. Methods: Two focus group discussions were conducted. Each focus group consisted of six participants who had experienced being either a patient or a caregiver. We carried out a thematic analysis, and then compared the contents of our focus group discussions with the components of patient-centered care outlined by the Picker Institute. Results: Six conceptual constructs of patient centeredness emerged from the focus group discussions. Five of these overlapped with those outlined by the Picker Institute: 1)respect for patients' values, preferences, and needs, 2) coordination and integration of care, 3) information, communication, and education, 4) physical comfort, and 5) emotional support and alleviation for fear and anxiety. A new component that was not mentioned in the Picker Institute framework emerged from this study: "ease of making a complaint." Currently, "involvement of family and friends" and "continuity and transition" were not prominent components of patient centeredness according to our focus group discussions. Conclusions: This study presents the conceptual constructs of patient centeredness, five of which overlap with those outlined by the Picker Institute, and provides a qualitative basis of the patient experience survey currently being implemented by the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service in Korea.

공익성 보편적 서비스 개념의 비교 연구 (A Conceptual Comparison between Public Interest and Universal Service)

  • 본 연구는 개념적 혼동(conceptual muddle) 상태에 있는 방송과 통신의 핵심적 이념이자 정책 목표인 공익성과 보편적 서비스를 개념적으로 구명(究明)하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 (1) 공익성과 보편적 서비스 개념의 기원, (2) 공익성과 보편적 서비스 개념의 구성 요소, (3) 공익성과 보편적 서비스 개념의 현실적 구현이라는 세 가지 측면에서 살펴보았다. 주요한 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공익성과 보편적 서비스 개념의 기원은 지역적 차이가 있었다. 방송의 공익성 개념은 서구에서 시작되어 미국을 비롯한 세계 모든 나라 방송 이념으로 뿌리를 내린 반면, 보편적 서비스 개념은 미국에서 시작되어 유럽을 비롯한 국가들의 정보 통신 정책의 주요 이념으로 자리 잡아가고 있었다. 둘째, 양 개념의 구성 요소를 살펴본 결과, 공통점보다는 차이점이 더욱 크게 나타났다. 가장 현저한 양 개념의 공통점은 '보편주의'인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 공익성 개념은 보편적 서비스 개념을 포함하면서, 그 외 독립성, 다양성, 질, 지역성과 같은 내용과 관련된 차별적 구성 요소를 내포하고 있다. 셋째, 양 개념의 정책 구현이라는 측면에서 비교 분석한 결과, 양 개념간에 많은 차이가 있었다. 공익성 이념은 방송 사업자에 대한 규제 정책 위주로 전개된 반면, 보편적 서비스 이념은 이용자에 대한 지원 정책으로 나타나, '규제'와 '육성'이라는 정책적 대조를 보였다. 결론적으로, 양 개념은 차별적 개념이기 때문에 학문적 차원에서 사용할 때 엄밀성을 유지할 것이 요구되고, 실제적인 차원에서는 관련 법 제 개정 시 방송에 있어서도 보편적 서비스 의무를 부과하도록 건의하였다.

생물 군집의 회복력 및 저항력 : 하천생태계 건전성 평가를 위한 응용성 (Resilience and Resistance of Biological Community : Application for Stream Ecosystem Health Assessment)

  • Ecosystem health assessment is an emerging concept regarded as a useful diagnostic tool for evaluating ecosystems. The stability of ecosystem is the main theme in the assessment. Generally, two components - resilience and resistance - are involved in the mechanism of ecosystem stability. In this study, relative degrees of the resistance and the resilience were quantified for most aquatic Insects Inhabiting running waters in Korea. A total of 34 groups were newly categorized based on previous studies, and a conceptual model has been produced. The model was applied for the aquatic insect communities inhabiting different streams and demonstrated that each stream ecosystem possessed different degrees of stability. This study also indicated that it was possible to compare stabilities of different ecosystems using relative degrees of resilience and resistance. Using the conceptual model, suitable conservation and management strategies could be recommended in ecological assessments. The model can be used as a stepping-stone for developing more comprehensive methodology that objectively diagnoses and evaluates the ecosystem stability.

  • 소프트웨어 산업이 급속하게 발전해감에 따라 정보 기술 업체간 경쟁이 더욱 심화되어 소프트웨어 재사용성, 적시성, 유지 보수성 등이 업체의 생명력으로 대두되면서 소프트웨어 컴포넌트 기술이 점차 각광을 받고 있다. 현재 몇몇 컴포넌트 생성 지원 도구들이 제공되고 있지만 컴포넌트의 식별, 모델링, 상세 설계, 코드 생성, 전개, 시험 등 컴포넌트 생성 전 과정을 밀접히 연계하여 지원하는 도구가 드물다. 또한, 특정 플랫폼에 의존적인 소규모 컴포넌트 생성에 중점을 두고 있어 사용자 관점의 다양한 규모의 컴포넌트 생성에는 제약이 따른다. 이 논문에서는 컴포넌트 생성에 연관된 모든 과정을 지원하는 컴포넌트 모델링 및 생성 지원 도구의 설계와 프로토타입 구현에 대해 기술한다. 컴포넌트 모델링은 영역 고유의 비즈니스 로직의 재사용 측면에서 컴포넌트 플랫폼 아키텍쳐에 관계없이 개념적인 컴포넌트의 식별 및 모델링을 지원한다. 상세설계 및 코드 생성 부분은 일차적으로 J2EE 플랫폼 아키텍쳐에 의존적으로 지원되며 설계 모델과 소스 코드의 일관성을 동적으로 유지시키는 Round-trip Engineering 기능을 지원한다.

  • This paper describes a step-by-step method to minimize design iterations in a process of product design change. In the design process, two components are coupled if a change of a component can require the other components change, and design iterations are generated by the coupling. The design iteration is one of main factors that increase design effort. In this study, three matrices are used to solve the design iteration of automatic transmission lever, Requirement-Engineering matrix, Engineering-Components matrix, and DSM(Design Structure Matrix). Firstly, with the DSM, the product architecture and conceptual design process are proposed from product function analysis. Secondly, with the QFD, the Requirement-Engineering matrix and Engineering-Components matrix present the relationship among customer requirements, engineering issues, and product components. Lastly, the results of the QFD analysis are used in the DSM to solve the component interactions and to provide design

  • 본 논문은 온톨로지 기반의 임무공간 개념 모델링 체계인 한국형 임무공간 개념모델 (CMMSK:The Conceptual Models of the Mission Space-Korea)을 제안한다. 모델링과 시뮬레이션을 이용하면 실제 군사 훈련을 실행할 때 발생하는 시간, 공간 그리고 경제적인 비용을 크게 줄일 수 있다. CMMS-K는 국방 모델과 시뮬레이션의 상호운용성과 재사용성을 향상시키기 위해 개발되고 있다. CMMS-K의 구조는 한국 국방 환경을 기반으로 기존 국방 개념 모델링 체계를 참조하여 생성되었다. CMMS-K의 주요 구성요소는 도메인 온톨로지, 임무공간 모델 기술 언어, 임무공간 모델링 도구, 그리고 CMMS-K 관리 시스템이다. CMMS-K 도메인 온톨로지는 개체 및 과제 온톨로지로 구성된다. 본 논문은 CMMS-K 도메인 온톨로지에 대해서 자세히 기술하고 제안된 방법의 적용 가능성을 예제를 이용하여 평가한다.

Classes in Object-Oriented Modeling (UML): Further Understanding and Abstraction

  • Object orientation has become the predominant paradigm for conceptual modeling (e.g., UML), where the notions of class and object form the primitive building blocks of thought. Classes act as templates for objects that have attributes and methods (actions). The modeled systems are not even necessarily software systems: They can be human and artificial systems of many different kinds (e.g., teaching and learning systems). The UML class diagram is described as a central component of model-driven software development. It is the most common diagram in object-oriented models and used to model the static design view of a system. Objects both carry data and execute actions. According to some authorities in modeling, a certain degree of difficulty exists in understanding the semantics of these notions in UML class diagrams. Some researchers claim class diagrams have limited use for conceptual analysis and that they are best used for logical design. Performing conceptual analysis should not concern the ways facts are grouped into structures. Whether a fact will end up in the design as an attribute is not a conceptual issue. UML leads to drilling down into physical design details (e.g., private/public attributes, encapsulated operations, and navigating direction of an association). This paper is a venture to further the understanding of object-orientated concepts as exemplified in UML with the aim of developing a broad comprehension of conceptual modeling fundamentals. Thinging machine (TM) modeling is a new modeling language employed in such an undertaking. TM modeling interlaces structure (components) and actionality where actions infiltrate the attributes as much as the classes. Although space limitations affect some aspects of the class diagram, the concluding assessment of this study reveals the class description is a kind of shorthand for a richer sematic TM construct.
