초등학생의 빛의 성질 개념에 대한 학습 발달과정의 개발 (A Development on Learning Progressions about Concepts of the Properties of Light in the Elementary Students)

  • The purpose of this study is to devise the concept of properties of the light on learning progressions for 3-6 grade students in the elementary school. For the purpose, this study creates a construct map of the properties of the light. Ordered multiple-choice items were developed in view of the construct map and presented to 200, 3~6 grade students in the elementary school. A partial credit model of Rasch model was used to analyze the results of those items, and the learning progressions was devised from the analysis results. The study can be summarized as follows: the construct modeling approach was used to devise the properties of light on learning progressions. As a result, the concept was selected for the core standards of construct map. Based on the construct map, the multiple-choice items were developed for students' conceptual understanding. The items were analyzed using the partial credit model, and the analysis findings showed that they were appropriate to assess students about their level of understanding of the properties of light. Finally, learning progressions were devised with the use of item analysis results.

대학 수학 교육에서 영어 강의의 효과 연구 (The Effects of Teaching University Mathematics in English)

  • 한 학기 동안, 영어를 사용한 대학 수학 과목 강의를 하여 수강한 학생의 강의된 내용 및 영어 습득 정도를 측정하였다. 9주 간격을 두고 사전 및 사후 시험을 치른 결과 수학 강의 내용면에서, 영어로 강의한 반이 우리말로 강의한 반에 비하여 많은 학습을 이루었음을 알 수 있었다. 특히, 영어로 강의한 반 학생들은 실험에서 사용된 수학 시험문제 가운데 어려운 문제에서 큰 진보를 보였다. 또한 영어로 강의한 반의 학생들의 수학 관련 영어는 향상된 반면 일반적 영어는 향상을 보이지 않았다. 본 논문은 이러한 결과를 통하여 영어로 된 수학 표현을 이해하고 제대로 사용하는 능력이 영어로 된 수학적 지식 습득의 일부분이며 따라서 교과 내용의 습득과 불가분의 관계임을 시사한다.

그래프의 경로에 대한 교수학적 변환 방식과 학생들의 이해 분석 (A Study on Didactic Transposition Method and Students' Understanding for Graph's Trail)

  • 이 연구에서는 개정 교육과정의 수학 I 에서 다루어지는 그래프의 지도 목표가 7차 교육과정의 이산수학에서 그래프의 지도 목표와 같지 않음을 확인하였다. 이를 바탕으로 수학 I 에서 그래프와 행렬 단원의 내용 요소인 경로의 교수학적 변환 방식과 학생들의 이해 정도를 분석하였으며, 그 결과 개정 교육과정의 수학 I 에서 경로는 trail로 정의되지만 교과서에 따라서는 이를 path로 해석한 경우가 있으며 학생들 역시 경로를 trail보다는 path로 이해하려는 경향이 있음을 파악할 수 있었다. trail로서 경로의 정의는 오일러 회로와 해밀턴 회로를 다루는 체계에서 보다 의미를 가지며 개정 교육과정의 수학I에서는 trail로서 경로의 가치를 찾는 것이 쉽지 않다.

  • Between various ideological experiences, such as spatial, artistic and religious experiences, a consistent and transcendental sense exists, which is difficult to systemize or establish, in all the senses human beings experience. It shows that the depth of essence may be much deeper than that of religion or science in limits of humans' thinking and experiences. On the premise that we need to rationally understand and systemize such a sublime experience, it is thought that we will be able to expand the system of our senses through a new approach breaking away from the previous concepts used to interpret a spatial experience. Rudolf Otto, a German philosopher and comparative religion scholar, explains such an essential sense through Numinose Theory. As his theoretical analysis and approach are used to explore the mechanism of such a transcendental emotion, which is impossible to express with such words as 'sanctity', 'sublimity' and 'reverence', from various perspectives, but intend to exclude dogmatic logic. Therefore, they seem to become new and useful tools in aesthetically understanding space design and objects of arts. Thus, this study aims to examine what value Numinose Theory has in the aspect of understanding space design, based on which this study intends to use the Numinose concept as a concept of interpreting 'Jongmyo Jeongjeon'.

델파이조사를 이용한 결혼준비진단에 관한 기초연구 (A Preliminary Study on Diagnostic Process for Premarital Preparation by Using a Delphi Method : With Purpose of Developing Tools)

  • The purpose of this study is to make a preliminary investigation about the diagnostic process for marital preparation against future divorce which will be necessary for developing tools for the process. Delphi tests have been twice held among 23 professionals regarding the concept of marital diagnosis and the areas of marital preparation to be estimated including definitions of the marital preparation for marriage and the status in which marriage has been prepared, and the categorization of the preparation The result of the study is as follows : Firstly, the concept of marital preparation is comprehensive, for it does include various kinds of preparation necessary for adjustment to marital life except the preparation for wedding ceremony. Secondly, the status in which marriage has been prepared can be divided into individual preparation, a couple's relational preparation, and preparation for marital life. Thirdly, premarital preparation education or counselling will be provided for young persons who are not in status of marital preparation. The areas of marital preparation to be estimated are maturity, independence from parents, and good health in terms of individual preparation, and the depth of love, understanding each other, similarity, harmonization, supplementation, capacity of communication, self-control, and all that sort of thing in terms of relational preparation, sex, views about marriage, information about marital life, role division, giving birth to child and rearing, financial management, and understanding both families of husband and wife.

경락시스템 실질에 대한 이해: 과거와 현재 그리고 미래 (Past, Present, and the Future of Understanding the Entity of the Meridian System)

  • The concept of the meridian system is originated from an empirical, systematic references in the clinical setting, which does not always require anatomical features. As the principles of systems biology are mainly associated with regulating the body's internal environment to maintain a stable condition, they are closely similar to the theory of the meridian system. In this review, I describe the origin of the concept of the meridian system, current status of research on the meridian system and acupuncture points, and the future directions of the research. To unravel the entity of the meridian system, we have to start from understanding its origin and clinical significance. The meridian system, as a theoretical model of the indications of acupuncture points, can help to understand the interconnections that underlie the pathologies of particular diseases or symptoms. Based on the establishment of clinical data platform for acupuncture research, we can extract novel medical information from the clinical data and generate analytical models that are useful for medical knowledge discovery on acupuncture points in the future.

초등학생들의 도형의 둘레와 넓이 사이의 관계에 대한 이해의 분석 (An analysis of understanding about the relationship between perimeter and area of geometric figures of elementary school students)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze elementary students' understanding the relationship between perimeter and area in geometric figures. In this study, the questionaries were used. In the survey, the subjects were elementary school students in In-cheon city. They were 86 students of the fifth grade, 86 of the sixth. They were asked to solve the problems which was designed by the researcher and to describe the reasons why they answered like that. Study findings are as following; Students have misbelief about the concept of the relationship between perimeter and area in geometric figures. Therefore, 1 propose the method fur teaching about the relationship between perimeter and area in geometric figures. That is teaching via problem solving.. In teaching via problem solving, problems are valued not only as a purpose fur learning mathematics but also a primary means of doing so. For example, teachers give the problem relating the concepts of area and perimeter using a set of twenty-four square tiles. Students are challenged to determine the number of small tiles needed to make rectangle tables. Using this, students can recognize the concept of the relationship between perimeter and area in geometric figures.

Lakatos 이론과 GSP를 활용한 접선지도연구 (On effective way of teaching concept of tangent line using Lakatos theory and GSP)

  • 접선의 개념은 수학에서 매우 중요하다. 그러나 대학생들조차 미분가능과 접선의 존재를 동일시하는 등 접선의 중요성과 개념에 대해 혼란스러워하고 있다. 이런 관점에서 본 논문에서는 선행연구를 창조하고 초, 중, 고교의 교과서와 교육과정을 분석하여 접선개념의 도입 등을 분석하고 Lakatos 이론과 GSP를 이용한 접선지도방법과 실제 학교현장에서 사용할 수 있는 학습지도안을 제시하고, 현장적용 및 교수실험결과를 소개한다.

A Study on the Design of Accessories through the Concept of Reincarnation

  • This study aims to explore the unethical issues in leather processing and to develop designs of leather products based on the concept of reincarnation by ecosystem circulation. The method used in this research include the review of previous literature and the design process for development fashion accessories using waste leather. The design process comprises collecting waste leather, classifying waste leather by type, color, and size, and developing leather products according to line carnation method. For this research, the material was limited to waste cowhide leather collected from leather workshops and leather product factories. The leather pieces were divided into typical and atypical types and developed leather accessories based on the leather piece's color and size. A twill brooch, four-string bracelet, a brooch using the four-stringed leather strap and mini handbag designs were developed using regular type waste leather. An armband of abstract patterns and a cellphone case with graffiti pattern using irregular type over-splitting waste leather. The environmental issues in design are observed as part of understanding the significance of this study. Development of waste leather accessory can expand the usability of the waste leather as well as increase the product value by creating limited-line editions. By understanding the role and benefits of sustainable upcycling, this research suggests an efficient way to use waste materials in fashion to coexist with the natural environment.

Safety-II and Resilience Engineering in a Nutshell: An Introductory Guide to Their Concepts and Methods

  • Background: Traditional safety concept, which is called Safety-I, and its relevant methods and models have much contributed toward enhancing the safety of industrial systems. However, they have proved insufficient to be applied to complex socio-technical systems. As an alternative, Safety-II and resilience engineering have emerged and gained much attention for the last two decades. However, it seems that safety professionals have still difficulty understanding their fundamental concepts and methods. Accordingly, it is necessary to offer an introductory guide to them that helps safety professionals grasp them correctly in consideration of their current practices. Methods: This article firstly explains the limitations of Safety-I and how Safety-II can resolve them from the four points of view. Next, the core concepts of resilience engineering and Functional Resonance Analysis Method are described. Results: Workers' performance adjustment and performance variability due to it should be the basis for understanding human-related accidents in socio-technical systems. It should be acknowledged that successful and failed work performance have the same causes. However, they are not well considered in the traditional safety concept; in contrast, Safety-II and resilience engineering have conceptual bases and practical approaches to reflect them systematically. Conclusion: It is necessary to move from a find-and-fix and reactive approach to a proactive approach to safety management. Safety-II and resilience engineering give a set of useful concepts and methods for proactive safety management. However, if necessary, Safety-I methods need to be properly used for situations where they can still be useful as well.
