This study is purposed to prepare students in theological universities so that they contribute to their faith community as well as the broader social community in future through developing a practical course model for education of character formation. Facing the challenge of a high-tech revolution being progressed globally in this period, theological seminaries as the Christian-affiliated institute of higher education see the necessity to nurture their learners' competency of holistic personality comprehending cognitive, affective, behavioral, and more spiritual maturity as well as specialty in each subject matter. The holistic character capability of seminarians is closely related not only to their own self-realization, but also social community's well-being. This research had the following content and results. Chapter 1 brought up a subject to educational needs of the holistic character formation in the theological seminaries to meet the rapidly changing times. Chapter 2 considered the importance of character formation in the curriculum of the universities and theological seminaries in the times of high-tech revolution through the literature reviews related to. Chapter 3 clarified the elements of character education to be placed emphasis on theological seminaries and established the way of course planning. Chapter 4, using a course of Christian social education for illustration, described in order the whole process of course planning comprehending the need of planning, description of course concept, establishment and definition of learning outcomes, organization of learning experience(course content), teaching-learning activities, evaluation of learning outcome, and course improvement, which was visualized with the chart of the process of course design. Also, it provided a practical illustration of the conceptual map, an outline of content and an organization of units, and scope-sequence chart. Finally, chapter 5 gave an syllabus example in an integrative and digestive form as the course plan to be distributed to the students, which is the final result produced through the whole process of course planning. This research is intended not to present a overall curriculum planning of the university-level in the theological seminaries, but to develop a course-level curriculum focused on the formation of character. The author hope that this study would be used as a guideline in developing a course model to nurture the capability of the learners' holistic character.

In this paper, we propose to understand the conceptual structure of programming elements that learners form during the prototyping theory. To do this, we reviewed previous studies on the meaning of conception and prototype theory and conducted a course of problem-solving programming for 33 university students who had no prior experience in programming, and collected transcription materials through conceptual metaphorical writing. The conclusions of this study are as follows: 1) Identifying the conceptual structure of learners as a conceptual metaphor can enhance the effectiveness of programming education. 2) Learners need to reinforce the experience of forming abstract attributes to form mature programming concepts. 3) The concept of programming differs in the structure of multi-level concepts that students, teachers, and professional programmers have in each group. 4) Programming elements should intentionally block misconception risks in the meaning of symbols. 5) Concept evaluation tools should be developed to check whether various attributes can be applied.

These tests were administered to 1,223 students of the general high school(422 for the 1st 400 for the 2nd, and 401 for the 3rd test). Also, those students' and the high school science teacher's opinions about the tests and the new college entrance exam were surveyed. The evaluation objectives of those test items were analyzed and the test item analyses were done. (2) The boys had higher mean scores than the girls in all of the tests, but these differences were not statistically significant. The natural science course students had significantly higher mean than the humanities course students in all of the test:(1st, F=12.643, p=0.0004 ; 2nd, F=45.757, p=0.0001 ; 3rd, F=36.162, p=0.0001). A significant interaction of sex and course was found in only 1st test( F=11.352. p=0.0008). (3) Most students answered the test was difficult and they needed more time to finish it Also, they added they had to study in a different way from the traditional one in order to prepare the new college entrance exam. Science teachers answered that those evaluation objectives of the tests corresponded well with the educational objectives of high school science and that the tests were suitable as measuring instruments of the scientific thinking abilities. But they pointed out it would be very difficult for them to teach students for preparing the exam under the exsting educational conditions. To carry out successfully the competency exam for college education, the following improvements were suggested. (1) Good evaluation methodology should be developed. (2) In-service science teacher training models on evaluation should be put in force. (3) Effective teaching models and strategies should be developed.(4) The high school science curriculum should be revised.

The purpose of the study was to describe the operating status of "Logic and Writing in Home Economics Education(HEE)" course and the students' perception about the course. For this study, the syllabuses of "Logic and Writing" course in HE education department were reviewed. The survey method was used in this descriptive study. Respondents in this study were 116 students taking the "Logic and Writing in Home Economics Education" course. Questionnaires from the students were collected through on-line and off-line mail. The results of the study were as the follows: First, goals of the "Logic and Writing in HE Education" course were as the follows in order: to enhance writing skill about various subjects related to Home Economics; to foster HE teachers' professionalism through persuasive power logically; to foster writing skill logically; to prepare HE teacher recruitment exam; and to foster teaching skills to enhance students' writing. The student evaluation methods in the course were mainly attendance, examination, tasks, discussion and presentation, and class participation. Second, degree of satisfaction of students taking the course was higher than average. The student respondents perceived that the course was helpful to improve their logical thinking and critical analytical skill, writing skill related to HE education and education, ability to express one's opinion clearly and exactly, understanding of the fundamental concept of logic and the structure and method of the essay, comprehensive understanding of HE education, and ability to solve the problems specifically. However, they responded that it was difficult to practice writing, to discuss and debate frequently, to follow uncertain assessment criteria, and to present frequently. They wanted the instructor to give the feedback more frequently.
Hospice and palliative care (HPC) education is an essential component of undergraduate medical education. Since February 4th, 2018, withholding and withdrawing life-sustaining treatment at the end of life (EOL) has been permitted in Korea as put forth by law, the "Act on Hospice and Palliative Care and Decisions on Life-Sustaining Treatment for Patients at the End of Life." Therefore, Korean medical schools have faced a challenge in providing comprehensive HPC education in order to better prepare medical students to be competent physicians in fulfilling their role in caring for patients at the EOL. There have been considerable variations in the evolution and organization of HPC education across Korean medical schools for the past 20 years. In 2016, all medical schools taught HPC curriculum as a separate course or integrated courses, with the most frequently taught topics including: delivering bad news, pain management, and the concept of palliative medicine. However, the content, time allocation, learning format, and clinical skills practice training of HPC education have been insufficient, inconsistent, and diverse. For this reason, we propose a HPC curriculum containing seven domains with 60 learning objectives in a course duration of over 20 hours based on the Palliative Education Assessment Tool (PEAT) as standard HPC curriculum. Furthermore, we recommend development of a national curriculum for HPC/EOL care education to be organized by the HPC board and managed under the accreditation criteria of the Korea Institute of Medical Education and Evaluation.

When an automatic course-keeping is concerned as is quite popular in modern navigation the closed-loop steering system consists of autopilot device power unit (or telemotor unit) steering gear magnetic or gyro compass and ship dynamics. The consideration of irregular disturbances to ship dyanmics and a few non-linear mechanisms involved in the system inevitably or artificially are known to be very important in properly evaluating or analyzing the automatic steering system. In the present study the mathematical model of each element of an automatic steering system is derived which takes account of a fex non-linear mechanisms. PD(Proportional-Derivative) controller and low-pass filter with a weather adjustment are adopted to modelling the characteristics of an autopilot. The calculation method of imposing irregular disturbances to ship dynamics is proposed where irregular disturbances implying irregular wave and the fluctuating component of wind. For he evaluation of automatic steering system of ships in the open seas an important term "performance index" is introduced from the viewpoint of energy saving which derived from the concept of energy loss on ship propulsion. Finally the present methods are applied to two typical types of ship ; an ore carrier and a fishing boat. The various effects of linear and/or non-linear control constants of autopilot on propulsive energy loss are investigated to validate and clarify the present smulation technique.
The first part of the study involved calculating emission factors from electricity production. The second part of the study aimed to analyze perceptions of the concept of carbon dioxide utilization and was conducted through a questionnaire survey with participants from Almaty and Astana. The results showed that there were no significant improvements in the decrease of carbon dioxide emissions between 2017 and 2020. Almost no change occurred in the rate of carbon dioxide emission throughout the course of the four years. According to the results of the survey, a number of respondents had reservations about the feasibility of using carbon dioxide utilization as a solution to tackle climate change. They felt that this technology would only offer a temporary solution to carbon emissions, without addressing the underlying causes of the problem. Despite these concerns, the participants acknowledged that carbon dioxide utilization had certain advantages in promoting sustainability.
This paper identified the source of inspiration to cooperatively design a fashion collection from US undergraduate clothing design students and addressed how to implement team-based learning strategy to conceptual clothing design in class. Data was collected from the total of 51 students in a senior clothing design course at a large 4-year university in the US. The assigned project for this class was to develop a group collection under a same theme. Each student worked with his/her team member(s) to create an outfit and the entire class worked as a group to create a cohesive collection. The study showed that the sources of inspiration for the themes/concepts came from 11categories: historic era/old Hollywood glamour, shape/line/structure/architectural, fairy tales movies, nature/abstract, circus/mysterious, occasion/place, object, designer/artist, futuristic, culture, and various movies. To implement cooperative learning strategies in the clothing design class, a total of five class presentation/discussion sessions were held for theme/concept decision, fabric decision, design decision, test garment evaluation and design modification, and final products. Throughout the design process, team-based learning strategy promoted students' engagement and participation and inspired their critical thinking skills for making decisions within a team.

This study clarifies the concept of the education content relevance in order to evaluate the content relevance of Technology & Home Economics in a secondary school, and design its standards based on the preceding study. In other words, four standards such as the amount of studying content, the degree of difficulty, the validity of contents and the sequence of contents are established. Also, a survey on the current status of nationwide units targeting students, teachers, and professors was conducted to collect actual data about relevance evaluation. The results are as follows. First, as for the evaluation in terms of the amount of studying content, the majority of respondents answered that it decreased by about $30\%$ when compared to the 6th Technology & Home Economics Curriculum However, middle school teachers pointed out that the number of classes is not enough considering the fact that it's an activity-oriented subject. So, they acknowledged that the amount of study time during a Technology Sl Home Economics class is 'quite a lot.' Second, the evaluation in the degree of difficulty is divided into two responses. Teachers responded that it's reasonable overall, but according to students, it's difficult. Especially, the chapters that students don't understand well including 'The Elements of Draftsmanship,"' 'Understanding of Machinery,' 'Electronics & Electricity Technology,' and 'Energy & Transportation Technology.' In the Home Economics area, 'The Design of Home Life' is the only chapter that students don't understand well. Third, as for the validity of contents, the chapters that were not considered as important considering the objective of Technology Sl Home Economics Curriculum include 'The Elements of Draftsmanship,' 'Computer & Processing,' and 'The Management of Resources and Environment.' Fourth, as for the sequence of contents, the survey was conducted including the name of the course asone of the survey items. The majority of teachers wanted it as it is, but the Professors of education colleges who wanted the 3rd name to connect the course with the elementary school course was a little more $(50.5\%)$ than the ones who don't want any changes $(45.5\%)$. The follow-up study should correct and complement the standards that this study suggested through analytic and critical review according to the character & goal of the subject. Based on such standards, the evaluation of content relevance should be continued to realize the quality control of the curriculum systematically.
The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship of self-efficacy, which is a kind of the self concept about one's own ability, to the decision-making process, which is the key part of consumer behavior. The subjects in this study were 985 male and female undergraduates of a university located in the city of Kyongsan, the north Kyongsang province. The collected data were statistically processed by MANOVA and ANOVA. For post test, Scaffle and $\chi$$^2$-test were employed. The followings are findings of this study : 1. Concerning incentive to buying, the group having the weaker general self-efficacy is stimulated more highly by the incentives of self-display, fashion pursuit and economic utility than the group having the stronger general self-efficacy does. 2. Regarding information sources. the factor of observation is frequently used by the group having the weaker general and social self-efficacies more than the group having the stronger general and social self-efficacies. 3. As to the evaluative criteria of clothes, the group having the stronger general and social self-efficacies put a higher value on functional and economical points than the group having the weaker general and social self-efficacies does. 4. As for the evaluative criteria of store the group having the stronger general self-efficacy lays stress on store atmosphere, store attributes and convenient shopping condition, while the group having the weaker general self-efficacy puts emphasis on brand and fashion. 5. In buying apparels, the group having the stronger general and social self-efficacies makes more planned purchase.
