We study tidal disruption and subsequent mass fallback process for stars approaching supermassive black holes on bound orbits, by performing three dimensional Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics simulations with a pseudo-Newtonian potential. We find that the mass fallback rate decays with the expected -5/3 power of time for parabolic orbits, albeit with a slight deviation due to the self-gravity of the stellar debris. For eccentric orbits, however, there is a critical value of the orbital eccentricity, significantly below which all of the stellar debris is bound to the supermassive black hole. All the mass therefore falls back to the supermassive black hole in a much shorter time than in the standard, parabolic case. The resultant mass fallback rate considerably exceeds the Eddington accretion rate and substantially differs from the -5/3 power of time. We also show that general relativistic precession is crucial for accretion disk formation via circularization of stellar debris from stars on moderately eccentric orbits.
The proposed neural network technique is the real time computation method based theory of inter-node diffusion for searching the safety distances from the sudden appearance-objects during the work driving. The main steps of the distance computation using the theory of stereo vision like the eyes of man is following steps. One is the processing for finding the corresponding points of stereo images and the other is the interpolation processing of full image data from nonlinear image data of objects. All of therm request much memory space and time. Therefore the most reliable neural-network algorithm is drived for real-time matching of obejects, which is composed of a dynamic programming algorithm based on sequence matching techniques in moving objects.
In chemical processes, measurement errors reduce the credibility of information and cause inconsistency in material and energy balances. Because multicomposition flows and temperature measurements make material and energy balances nonlinear equations, data reconciliation becomes a nonlinear constrained optimization problem. In multicomposition processes, if we follow general optimization procedure, the number of measurement variables is so large that data reconciliation requires much computation time. We propose the decomposition procedure to reduce the computation time without the decrease of accuracy of data reconciliation. Decomposition procedure finds global variables, that can reduce the nonlinearity of constraints, and divides two sub-optimization problems. Once we optimize the global variables at upper level, we can easily optimize the remain variables at tower level, We can obtain the short computational time and the same accuracy as SQP optimization method.
In the present study, solution algorithms for the computation of unsteady flows on an unstructured mesh are presented. Dual time stepping is incorporated to achieve the 2-nd order temporal accuracy while reducing the linearization and the factorization errors associated with a linear solver. Hence, any time step can be used by only considering physical phenomena. Gauss-Seidel scheme is used to solve linear system of equations. Rigid motion and spring analogy method fur moving mesh are all considered and compared. Special treatments of spring analogy for high aspect ratio cells are presented. Finally, numerical results for oscillating wing are compared with experimental data.

In this paper, we describe study on the development or multi-path ultrasonic gas flowmeter using a transit time method. This system includes 5 pairs of ultrasonic transducers. ultrasonic signal processing unit using switch matrix method, computation algorithm of gas flow rate, spool piece type multi-path pipe unit. We have developed enhanced type of main ultrasonic signal processing unit using switch matrix method fer multi-path ultrasonic gas flowmeter. Also, we have developed the new transmitting & receiving method of ultrasonic waves and the new signal processing algorithm for the computation of ultrasonic transit time from received ultrasonic waves. In this study, we have designed more compact signal processing unit compared with the conventional hardware system of multi-path ultrasonic gas flowmeter. We have confirmed its reliability for multi-path ultrasonic gas flowmeter through the laboratory test using calibration system. In the future. we will perform the field test for the developed system in the POSCO gas line.
Speaker adaptation in eigenvoice space is a popular method for rapid speaker adaptation. To improve the performance of the method, the number of speaker dependent models should be increased and eigenvoices should be re-estimated. However, principal component analysis takes much time to find eigenvoices, especially in a continuous speech recognition system. This paper describes a method to reduce computation time to estimate eigenvoices only for supplementary speaker dependent models and to merge them with the used eigenvoices. Experiment results show that the computation time is reduced by 73.7% while the performance is almost the same in case that the number of speaker dependent models is the same as used ones.

In order to study noise barriers of complex shapes and to assess their efficiency, precise prediction model is required. For instance, geometrical approaches cannot deal with complex diffraction effects. So that in this paper, the time domain numerical computation method(Computational Aeroacoustics method) is applied to estimate noise reduction by diffraction and finite impedance condition. The CAA method can be used to calculate exactly the pressure of complex barrier shape with different impedance condition, such as T-shape, cylindrical edge and multi-edge noise barriers.

Based on the recent laboratory experiments (Kim et al. 2004), comparisons of caisson sliding distance are made between the computations and experiments. The time history model of wave force, which is proposed by Tanimoto et al. (1996), is modified in the standing wave part of horizontal and uplift wave forces because of the overestimation of the time history model. The comparison between experimental and computational sliding distance has showed that the caisson tilting increases the resistant force to the horizontal sliding. Therefore, a titling resistant force, which is caused by caisson tilting, is introduced into computation of sliding distance.

A numerical method for the assessment and correction of tunnel wall interference effects on forced-oscillation testing is presented. The method is based on the wall pressure signature method using computed wall pressure distributions. The wall pressure field is computed using unsteady three-dimensional full Navier-Stokes solver for a 70-degree pitching delta wing in a wind tunnel. Approximately-factorized alternate direction implicit (AF-ADI) scheme is advanced in time by solving block tri-diagonal matrices. The algebraic Baldwin-Lomax turbulence, model is included to simulate the turbulent flow effect. Also, dual time sub-iteration with, local, time stepping is implemented to improve the convergence. The computed wall pressure field is then imposed as boundary conditions for Euler re-simulation to obtain the interference flow field. The static computation shows good agreement with experiments. The dynamic computation demonstrates reasonable physical phenomena with a good convergence history. The effects of the tunnel wall in upwash and blockage are analyzed using the computed interference flow field for several reduced frequencies and amplitudes. The corrected results by pressure signature method agree well with the results of free air conditions.
A robust economic dispatch algorithm involving transmission losses is proposed and investigated for a possibility of on-line applications. In this paper, the penalty factors are calculated directly from transposed Jacobian of load flow analysis with advantages of superiority to B-coefficients method based on its computation time and suitability for real time application since the approach is based on a current system condition. The proposed algorithm is systematically handling the generation capacity constraints with transmission losses. Implementation of the algorithm for IEEE systems and EPRI Scenario systems shows that computation time is enough to apply on-line economic dispatch to large power system and production cost is saved compared with the crude classical economic dispatch algorithm without considering transmission losses.
