  • A reactive power compensator whiych employs a 3-phase voltage source PWM converter is presented and ana lysed in this study. In this study, instantaneous reactive power compensator by the theort of instantaneous real and imaginary power are theoretically studied how to compensate reactive power occured by fundamental and harmonic reactive current. And we showed the compensation characteristic as well as the capacity of condenser.

대규모 시스템의 분산형 보상기 설계 (Decentralized Compensator Design for Large-scale Systems)

  • This paper presents a decentralized compensator design procedure for large scale systems. By using a coordinate transformation method, interconnection terms in t도 subsystem are decoupled and a decentralized observer is designed independently as a form of Luenberger-type for each subsystem. And the decentralized compensator which can select the observer and controller gain independently is designed as a form of observer based controller for each subsystem. The proposed method has a simplicity and conciseness in the aspects of the determination of coordinate transformation matrices and the derivation of the separation principle which is adopted independently for each subsystem.

  • 본 논문에서는 ITER 펄스전원계통의 무효전력보상기(Reactive Power Compensator)의 해석 및 검증에 대하여 기술하였다. ITER 펄스전원계통은 66kV에 흐르는 무효전력량을 250MVar이하로 제한하기 위하여 정지형 무효전력보상기(Static Var Compensator)의 대표적인 장치인 싸이리스터 제어 리액터(TCR)와 고조파 필터(HF)로 구성된 무효전력보상기(RPC)를 사용한다. RPC에 적용되어 여러 ITER 초전도 코일 전원장치에서 발생하는 무효전력의 크기를 예측하여 보상하는 무효전력 보상기법을 해석한다. 본 논문에서는 RPC의 무효전력 보상동작을 실제 제어기와 RTDS를 연동하여 실험하여 검증하였고, RPC의 유무에 따라서 66kV 계통의 무효전력 최대값이 120MVar에서 40MVar로 감소하는 것을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, a model reference adaptive control scheme is applied to the normal acceleration controller for missiles with nonminimum-phase characteristics. The proposed scheme has an auxiliary compensator, an identifier of plant parameters and a feedback control law. First, plant parameters are estimated by the identifier and based the parameter estimates the coefficients of the compensator are calculated so that the estimated plant model with the compensator becomes minimum-phase. In this calculation, Nehari Algorithm is used. Parameters of the control law are then updated so that the extended plant model follows the given reference model. It is shown that the performance of the designed controller is satisfied via computer simulations.

  • The robust compensation controller, which has been proposed by one of the authors and is based on the fundamental principle of making the plant follow the reference model, consists of the reference model and the robust compensator. The reference model is constructed by using the nominal model of the plant and determines the input-output properties of the resultant system. The robust compensator is obtained as a solution of the mixed sensitivity problem in H infinity control theory. Therefore the resultant system is of low sensitivity and robust stability. In the case where uncertainty does not occur in the plant, the plant follows perfectly the reference model. Therefore, in the case where uncertainty occurs in the plant, we propose the system configuration which improves the following accuracy without replacing the 개bust compensator but by identifying, the plant and reconstructing the reference model.

  • A neural network compensator for stick-slip friction phenomena in meashartonics servo systems is practically proposed to supplement the traditionally available position and velocity control loops for precise motion control. The neural network compensa-tor plays the role of canceling the effect of nonlinear slipping friction force. It works robustly and effectively in a real control system. This enables the mechatronics servo systems to provide more precise control in the digital computer. It was confirmed that the con-trol accuracy is improved near zero velocity and points of changing the moving direction through numerical simulation. However, asymptotic property on the steady state error of the normal operation points is guaranteed by the integral term of traditional velocity loop controller.

  • An anti-reset windup (ARW) based compensation method for state constrained control systems is studied. First, a linear controller is constructed to give a desirable nominal performance ignoring state-constraints of a plant. Then, an additional compensator is introduced to provide smooth performance degradation under state-constraints of the plant. This paper focuses on the effective design method of the additional compensator. By minimizing a reasonable performance index, the proposed compensator is expressed in terms of theplant and ocntroller parameters. The resulting dynamics of the compensated controller exhibits the dominant part of the linear closed-loop system which can be seen from the singular perturbation model reducton theory. THe proposed method guarantees total stability of overall resulting systems if linear controllers were constructed to meet certain condition.

  • This paper presetns a 2-D DCT architecture adopting accurac y compensator for reducing the hardware complexity and increasing processing speed in VL\ulcornerSI implementation. In the application fields such as moving pictures experts group (MPEG) and joint photographic experts group (JPEG), 2-D DCT processor must be implemented precisely enough to meet the accuracy specifications of the ITU-T H.261. Almost all of 2-D DCT processors have been implemented using many multiplications and accumulations of matrices and vectors. The number of multiplications and accumulations seriously influence on comlexity and speed of 20D DCT processor. In 2-D DCT with fixed-point calculations, the computation bit width must be sufficiently large for the above accuracy specifications. It makes the reduction of hardware complexity hard. This paper proposes the accuracy compensator which compensates the accuracy of the finite word length calculation. 2-D DCT processor with the proposed accuracy compensator shows fairly reduced hardware complexity and improved processing speed.

A New Side-lobe Canceller with Adaptive Compensator

  • In the conventional generalized side-lobe canceller (GSC), the output is an estimated error signal that causes the adaptive filter weights do not converge to the optimal value. This paper presents a new side-lobe canceller with adaptive compensator th it reduces the misadjustment of the adaptive filter coefficients for the structural problem in the GSC. The adaptive compensator separates the output signal from the estimated error. The newly estimated error signal converges to the zero while the output signal tracks the target signal. This paper shows improvement of the performance by comparing the computer simulation of the output signal of GSC with the output signal of the proposed algorithm.

  • In this paper, it is suggested that the selection method of optimal parameter of power system stabilizer(PSS) with robustness in low frequency oscillation for power system using Real Variable Elitism Genetc Algorithm(RVEGA). The optimal parameters were selected in the case of power system stabilizer with one lead compensator, and two lead compensator. Also, the frequency responses characteristic of PSS, the system eigenvalues criterion and the dynamic characteristic were considered in the normal load and the heavy load, which proved usefulness of RVEGA compare with Yu's compensator design theory.
