The goal of few-shot semantic segmentation is to build a network that quickly adapts to novel classes with extreme data shortage regimes. Most existing few-shot segmentation methods leverage single or multiple prototypes from extracted support features. Although there have been promising results for natural images, these methods are not directly applicable to the aerial image domain. A key factor in few-shot segmentation on aerial images is to effectively exploit information that is robust against extreme changes in background and object scales. In this paper, we propose a Mask-Guided Attention module to extract more comprehensive support features for few-shot segmentation in aerial images. Taking advantage of the support ground-truth masks, the area correlated to the foreground object is highlighted and enables the support encoder to extract comprehensive support features with contextual information. To facilitate reproducible studies of the task of few-shot semantic segmentation in aerial images, we further present the few-shot segmentation benchmark iSAID-, which is constructed from a large-scale iSAID dataset. Extensive experimental results including comparisons with the state-of-the-art methods and ablation studies demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
The analgesic effects of music in people with glasses on perceived pain through cold-pressor task (CPT) is assessed based on three-sequence, three-period, crossover trial with three treatment conditions(music-listening, news-listening, and no-sound) to each subject. Fifty subjects are divided into three sequence groups by randomization, and CPTs under the pre-assigned treatment conditions at each period are performed. Pain responses after each CPT, subjects' pain tolerance (PT) in time scale and pain intensity (PI) and pain unpleasantness (PU) in visual analog scale (VAS) are measured. After classifying the group by whether or not to wear glasses, which is the phenotype of the myopia gene, pain responses are compared by F-tests and Tukey's multiple comparisons. CPT pain responses in group with glasses during the music intervention are significantly different from responses during the news intervention and the control conditions, respectively. This study investigates the pain responses of music intervention in the group wearing glasses, which can be seen as a phenotype of the nearsighted gene, and this result would play a role in explaining the biopsychosocial model of the pain mechanism.

Work-related Low Back Pain(LBP) is one of tile most important Issues in the field of industrial safety and health. Particularly, manual lifting is known as a major cause of work-related LBP and impairment. Total number of 163 manual lifting tasks in motor assembly processes were investigated. The 1981 and the 1994 equations developed by National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health(NIOSH) were applied to evaluate potential hazards of lifting-related LBP. Comparisons between the 19R I and 1994 NIOSH criteria were made. The relationships between the NIOSH criteria and lifting-related LBP were also analyzed. The results of this study are as follows: 1. The values of Action Limit(AL) by the NIOSH 1981 lifting equation. Recommended Weight Limit(RWL) by the 1994 equation and the weight of the load handled at each manual lifting task were shown log-normal distributions. 2. LI'(the weight of tile load/AL) and LI(the weight of the load/RWL) were calculated estimate the physical stress imposed by each individual lifting task. As a result. 76.7% of the total LI' value exceeded 1 and 12.9% exceeded 3, and 84.7% of the total LI values exceeded 1 and 20.9% exceeded 3. 3. Bus 2 Department showed the highest rate of LI'>1 and LI>1 and Bus 1 Department showed the highest rate of LI'>3 and LI>3 4. In general, the RWLs by the 1994 equation were found lower than the ALs by the 1981 equation. It is assumed to he resulted from the fact that the 1994 equation includes methods evaluating asymmetrical lifting tasks and lifts of objects with less then optimal hand-container couplings, and also covers a larger range of work durations and lifting frequencies than the 1981 equation. 5. Significant correlations were found between LI' and incidence of LBP (R=0.734, p<0.05). LI and incidence of LBP(R=0.671. p<0.10) and load-weights and incidence of LBP(R=0.797, p<0.05). 6. Control measures are required to achieve the value of LI less than 1 for some tasks having high LI values. Engineering control is highly recommended for some tasks having the value of LI above 3.
In order to prevent upper extremity musculoskeletal disorders, effective keyboard selection is an important consideration. The aim of this study was to compare upper extremity muscle activity according to transverse plane angle changes during vertical keyboard typing. Sixteen healthy men were recruited. All subjects had a similar typing ability (rate of more than 300 keystrokes per minute) and biacromion and forearm-fingertip lengths. Four different types of keyboard (vertical keyboard with a transverse plane angle of $60^{\circ}$, $96^{\circ}$, or $120^{\circ}$, and a standard keyboard) were used with a wrist support. The test order was selected randomly for each subject. Surface electromyography (EMG) was used to measure upper extremity muscle activity during a keyboard typing task. The collected EMG data were normalized using the reference contraction and expressed as a percentage of the reference voluntary contraction (%RVC). In order to analyze the differences in EMG data, a repeated one-way analysis of variance, with a significance level of .05, was used. Bonferroni correction was used for multiple comparisons. There were significant differences in the EMG amplitude of all seven muscles (upper trapezius, middle deltoid, anterior deltoid, extensor carpi radialis, extensor carpi ulnaris, flexor carpi radialis, and flexor carpi ulnaris) assessed during the keyboard typing task. The mean activity of each muscle had a tendency to increase as the transverse plane angle increased. The mean activity recorded during all vertical keyboard typing was lower than that recorded during standard keyboard typing. There was no significant difference in accuracy and error scores; however, there was a significant difference between transverse plane angles of $60^{\circ}$ and $120^{\circ}$ with regard to comfort. In conclusion, a vertical keyboard with a transverse plane angle of $60^{\circ}$ would be effective in reducing muscle activity compared with vertical keyboards with other transverse plane angles.

Numerical convergence and stability of TVD schemes have been applied in the FUNWAVE-TVD model were compared. The fourth order accurate MUSCL-TVD scheme using minmod limiter suggested by Yamamoto and Daiguji (1993), the fourth order accurate MUSCL-TVD scheme using van-Leer limiter suggested by Erduran et al. (2005) and the second order accurate MUSCL-TVD scheme using van-Leer limiter in Zhou et al. (2001) were compared. Comparisons of the numerical scheme were conducted with experimental data of Vincent and Briggs irregular wave experiments. In comparison with the fourth order accurate scheme using van-Leer limiter, the fourth order accurate scheme using minmod limiter is less dissipative but required lower CFL condition for stable numerical solution. On the other hand, the scheme using van-Leer limiter required smaller resolution spatial grid due to numerical dissipation, but relatively higher CFL condition can be used compared to the scheme using minmod limiter. In the breaking wave experiments which were conducted using high resolution spatial grid to reduce numerical dissipation, the characteristic of the schemes can be clearly observed. Numerical instabilities and blow-up of the numerical solutions were found in the irregular wave breaking simulation with the scheme using minmod limiter. However, the simulation can be completed with the scheme using van-Leer limiter, but required low CFL condition. Good agreements with the observed data were also observed in the results using van-Leer limiter.

In various engineering fields, determining the appropriate parameter set is a cumbersome and difficult task when solving optimization problems. Despite the appropriate parameter setting through parameter sensitivity analysis, there are limits to evaluating whether the parameters are appropriate for all optimization problems. For this reason, kinds of a Self-adaptive Harmony searches have been developed to solve various engineering problems by the appropriate setting of algorithm's own parameters according to the problem. In this study, various types of Self-adaptive Harmony searches were investigated and the characteristics of optimization were categorized. Six algorithms with a differentiation of optimization process were applied and compared with not only the mathematical optimization problem, but also the engineering problem, which has been applied widely in the algorithm performance comparisons. The performance of each algorithm was compared, and the statistical performance indicators were used to evaluate the application results quantitatively.
Community structure of heterotrophic protists and their grazing impact on phytoplankton were studied in Northwest Pacific Ocean during October, 2007. The study area was divided into four regions based on physical properties (temperature and salinity) and chlorophyll-a distribution. They were Region I of North Equatorial Currents, Region II of Kuroshio waters, Region III of shelf mixed water, and Region IV of Tsushima warm current from East China Sea. The distribution of chlorophyll-a concentrations and community structure of heterotrophic protists were significantly affected by physical properties of the water column. The lowest concentration of chlorophyll-a was identified in Region I and II, where pico-sized chlorophyll-a was most dominant (>80% of total chlorophyll-a). Biomass of heterotrophic protists was also low in Region I and II. However, Region III was characterized by low salinity and temperature and high chlorophyll-a concentration, with relatively lower pico-sized chlorophyll-a dominance. The Highest biomass of heterotrophic protists appeared in Region III, along with the relatively less important nanoprotists. In Region I, II and IV, heterotrophic dinoflagellates were dominant among the protists, while ciliates were dominant in Region III. Community structure varied with physical(salinity and temperature) and biological (chlorophyll-a) properties. Biomass of heterotrophic protists correlated well with chlorophyll-a concentration in the study area ($r^2=0.66$, p<0.0001). The potential effect of grazing activity on phytoplankton is relatively high in Region I and II. Our result suggest that biomass and size structure of heterotrophic protists might be significantly influenced by phytoplankton size and concentration.

The spinal cord dose is the one of the limiting factor for the radiation treatment of the head & neck (H&N) or the thorax region. Due to the fact that the cord is the elongated shaped structure, it is not an easy task to maintain the cord dose within the clinically acceptable dose range. To overcome this problem, the spinal cord partial block technique (PBT) with the dynamic Multi-Leaf Collimator (dMLC) has been developed. Three dimension (3D) conformal beam directions, which minimize the coverage of the normal organs such as the lung and the parotid gland, were chosen. The PBT field shape for each field was designed to shield the spinal cord with the dMLC. The transmission factors were determined by the forward calculation method. The plan comparisons between the conventional 3D conformal therapy plan and the PTB plan were performed to evaluate the validity of this technique. The conformity index (CI) and the dose volume histogram (DVH) were used as the plan comparison indices. A series of quality assurance (QA) was performed to guarantee the reliable treatment. The QA consisted of the film dosimetry for the verification of the dose distribution and the point measurements. The PBT plan always generated better results than the conventional 3D conformal plan. The PBT was proved to be useful for the H&N and thorax region.

Identifying the referents of omitted elements in a text is an important task to many natural language processing applications such as machine translation, information extraction and so on. These omitted elements are often called zero anaphors or zero pronouns, and are regarded as one of the most common forms of reference. However, since all zero elements do not refer to explicit objects which occur in the same text, recent work on zero anaphora resolution have attempted to identify the anaphoricity of zero pronouns. This paper focuses on intra-sentential anaphoricity determination of subject zero pronouns that frequently occur in Korean. Unlike previous studies on pair-wise comparisons, this study attempts to determine the intra-sentential anaphoricity of zero pronouns by learning directly the structure of clauses in which either non-anaphoric or inter-sentential subject zero pronouns occur. The proposed method outperforms baseline methods, and anaphoricity determination of zero pronouns will play an important role in resolving zero anaphora.
This study discusses two canceled dam projects, Youngwol Dam in South Korea and Two Forks Dam in Colorado of the United States. Both of them illustrate how the new paradigm applies to regional water projects because they became victims of environmental opposition in the new paradigm. While the cases have no apparent close relationships and they occurred in different decades, they offer interesting comparisons. They were basically struggles between water development coalitions and environmental protection coalitions on regional water conflicts. The two proposed projects brought about fierce debates on large dam as they embraced a wide-range of environmental, social, and political issues rather than construction of dams themselves. Huge anti-dam oppositions scrapped them at the cost of nearly ten years for decision-makings and enormous financial resources for feasibility studies respectively. It identifies who the policy actors were, what the policy strategies were, and how the water policies evolved in both countries. The decision-makings on the two projects appeared at first glance to be made under formal institutional frameworks, but in actuality, they relied significantly on decisions of the two important political actors. The Korean society began to learn negotiation and cooperation approaches to solve the water conflict by establishing the Joint Task Force Team on Youngwol project in 1999. The team is recognized as a new conflict resolution method in South Korea because a diverse of stakeholder interests voluntarily participated in the decision-making process and discussed water issues directly. Even though the projects resulted in futile fruits in each country, they illustrate the images of the new paradigm that significantly affected in formulating regional water policies in South Korea and the United States.
