성능 비교 항목들을 적용한 계층형 라우팅 프로토콜간의 성능비교 (Performance Comparison between Hierarchical Routing Protocols applying New Performance Evaluation Items)

  • WSN은 배터리와 같은 제한된 전원을 가진 센서 노드가 무선으로 구성된 네트워크이다. 센서 노드의 배터리가 모두 소모되면 해당 노드는 더는 동작하지 않으며, 일정 이상의 노드가 동작하지 않으면 네트워크는 제 역할을 하지 못하게 된다. 따라서 노드의 에너지 효율을 높여 에너지 소모를 최소화하면 네트워크의 수명을 증가시킬 수 있다. 에너지 효율을 높이기 위한 프로토콜은 다양하게 있으며, 그중 클러스터 방식과 체인 방식의 프로토콜이 있다. 본 논문은 무선 센서 네트워크의 성능 향상을 위해 별도로 연구한 라우팅 프로토콜의 성능 평가를 검토하고자 한다. 비교 기준은 대표적인 계층 라우팅 프로토콜인 LEACH 프로토콜로 선택되었으며, 비교 대상은 CHEF와 FLCFP, LEACH-DFL 라우팅 프로토콜로 퍼지 로직과 함께 고려되었다. 본 논문에서는 성능 비교를 위한 다양한 기준이 제시되었으며, 각 프로토콜의 시뮬레이션을 통해 성능을 비교하였다. CHEF, FLCFP, LEACH-DFL의 성능 비교, LEACH, Puzzy Logic과의 프로토콜 등을 통해 다른 프로토콜의 성능을 비교하기 위한 기준점을 제시하고, 프로토콜의 성능 향상을 위한 추가적인 설계 방법을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

캡슐형 빙축열시스템에 대한 운전 시뮬레이션 및 에너지비용 분석 (Simulation and Energy Cost Calculation of Encapsulated Ice Storage System)

  • Ice storage systems are used to shift the peak load in day time into night time in summer. This paper describes a system simulation of partial ice storage system composed of an encapsulated ice storage tank, a screw compressor chiller, a heat exchanger, and a brine pump. For the system simulation, a one-dimensional model of ice storage tank is developed and validated by comparison with the performance data from measurements of an ice storage tank installed at a building. The control strategies considered in this study are chiller priority and storage priority being used commercially. The system is simulated with design cooling load of 600 RT peak load in design day and with off-design day cooling load, and the electric energy costs of the two control strategies for the same system size are compared. As a result of calculation, the energy consumption in a week for storage priority is higher than that for chiller priority control. However due to lower cost of night electric charge rate, energy cost for storage priority control is lower than chiller priority.

주거자 만족도를 고려한 주택 에너지관리 시스템의 부하제어 방법 연구 (A Study on Load Control Method for Home Energy Management System (H-EMS) Considering the Human Comfort)

  • The effective energy management method will provide the significant advantage to the residential customers under real time pricing plan since it can reduce the electricity charge by controlling the energy consumption according to electricity rate. The earlier studies for load management mainly aim to minimize the electricity charges and peak power but put a less emphasis on the human comfort dwelling in the residence. The discomfort and displeasure from the energy management only focusing on reduction of electricity charge will make the residential customer reluctant to enroll the real time pricing plan. In this paper, therefore, we propose optimal load control strategy which aim to achieve not only minimizing the electricity charges but also maintaining human comfort by introducing "the human comfort coefficient." Using the human comfort coefficient, the energy management system can reflect the various human personality and control the loads within the range that the human comfort is maintained. Simulation results show that proposed load control strategy leads to significant reduction in the electricity charges and peak power in comparison with the conventional load management method.

국내 철도부문의 활동도 자료에 따른 온실가스 배출량 비교 연구 (Comparison of GHG Emission with Activity Data in Korean Railroad Sector)

  • Since national GHG reduction target by 2020 has been presented in Korea, the role of railroad has been reinforced within transport system due to the allocation of reduction target into sector. So, it is necessary to manage activity data systematically for the calculation of GHG emission in railroad. Now, the activity data of diesel consumption for NIR(National Inventory Report) are provided from oil supply and demand statistics. On the other hands, the activity data collected directly from railroad operating companies are used for GHG & Energy Target Management Act. This study aimed to assess the GHG emissions using two kinds of activity data related to the diesel consumption of railroad in 2009 and 2010. As a result, GHG emissions based on oil supply and demand statistics was 636 thousands ton $CO_{2e}$, but the activity data collected from railroad operating companies showed 649 thousands ton $CO_{2e}$ in 2009. Also, the gap of $CO_{2e}$ emission was increased in 2010. These trends were caused because oil supply and demand statistics included total diesel sales volume during 1 year and the activity data collected from railroad operating companies were the amount of diesel consumption only at railcar operation and maintenance step. In conclusion, it is important to develop the management and verification system of activity data with high reliability to substitute oil supply and demand statistics in railroad sector.

차량 속도패턴에 따른 연료소모량 관계식 산정 (A Estimation Model of The Fuel Consumption Based on The Vehicle Speed Pattern)

  • 도로교통 분야에서 제시되는 다양한 정책들과 운영전략들을 평가하기 위해 사용해 오던 지금까지의 자료와 방법으로는 실제 도로에서 주행하고 있는 많은 차량들의 연료소모량을 정확하게 측정하기에는 불가능한 것이 현실이다. 특히 차량의 연료소모량은 속도뿐만 아니라 가속도에도 밀접한 관련이 있음에도 불구하고 현재의 방법으로는 가속도를 포함한 차량의 미시적 주행패턴을 고려하지 못하고 있다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 교통운영전략과 차량운행비용의 연료소모량 변화에 대한 보다 정확한 효과를 평가할 수 있도록, 차량의 속도와 가속도를 고려한 차량 연료소모량 관계식을 산정하고자 한다. 차량시뮬레이션 프로그램인 AVL Cruise를 이용하여 차량의 속도 및 가속도에 따른 연료소모량 원단위를 산출하고, 이러한 결과를 이용하여 시뮬레이션이나 차량운행비용 추정에 적용할 수 있는 차량 연료소모량 관계식을 산정하였다. 마지막으로 이렇게 도출된 본 연구의 차량 연료소모량 관계식과 기존 연료소모량 관계식을 비교하였다. 분석결과, 교통운영전략의 효과 평가 시 기존 연료소모량 관계식에 비해 주행패턴에서 발생하는 가속도 변화를 고려한 본 연구의 연료소모량 관계식이 보다 현실적으로 연료소모량을 산정할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Green ocean is one of the main issues internationally. Most governments are leading the role in boosting the economy through creating new green market and establishing system of coping with increasing international environmental regulation. Green ocean, which is a solution for the environmental issue of global warming, is applied throughout the industry. Domestic transportation industry including railway is also developing technology for creating green ocean. Transportation must decrease energy consumption at running stages because it shows high environmental loads expecially on using stages during its life cycle. Therefore, There are some tries for developing technologies; new engine through alternative energies, hybrid and lightweight. Railway transportation can not be exception. it is intended for this paper to suggest the direction of manufacturing environmentally friendly railway vehicle through the global warming effect evaluation of several materials being applied to vehicle and comparison of the results.

직접 산화와 간접 산화용 전극의 Dye 제거 성능 비교 (Comparison of Dye Removal Performance of Direct and Indirect Oxidation Electrode)

  • This study has carried out to evaluate the performance of direct and indirect oxidation electrode for the purpose of decolorization of Rhodamine B (RhB) in water. Four kinds of electrodes were used for comparison: Pt and JP202 (indirect oxidation electrode), Pb and boron doping diamond (BDD, direct oxidation electrode). The effect of applied current (0.5 ~ 2.5 A), electrolyte type (NaCl, KCl, HCl, $Na_2SO_4$ and $H_2SO_4$) and electrolyte concentration (0.5 ~ 2.5 g/L), solution pH (3 ~ 11) and initial RhB concentration (25 ~ 125 mg/L) were evaluated. Experimental results showed that RhB removal efficiency were increased with increase of current, NaCl dosage and decrease of the pH. However, the effect of operating parameter on the RhB removal were different with the electrode type. JP202 electrode was the best electrode from the point of view of performance and energy consumption. The order of removed RhB concentration per energy lie in: JP202>Pt>Pb>BDD.

중쇄중성지방(MCT)의 식이성 발열효과, 영양소 산화율 및 포만도 (Thermic Effect of Food, Macronutrient Oxidation Rate and Satiety of Medium-chain Triglyceride)

  • Objectives: The objective of this study was to evaluate the thermic effects, the macronutrient oxidation rates and the satiety of medium-chain triglycerides (MCT). Methods: The thermic effects of two meals containing MCT or long-chain triglycerides (LCT) were compared in ten healthy men (mean age $24.4{\pm}2.9years$). Energy content of the meal was 30% of resting metabolic rate of each subject. Metabolic rate and macronutrient oxidation rate were measured before the meals and for 6 hours after the meals by indirect calorimetry. Satiety was estimated by using visual analogue scales (VAS) at 8 times (before the meal and for 6 hours after meal). Results: Total thermic effect of MCT meal (42.8 kcal, 8.0% of energy intake) was significantly higher than that (26.8 kcal, 5.1% of energy intake) of the LCT meal. Mean postprandial oxygen consumption was also significantly different between the two types of meals (MCT meal: $0.29{\pm}0.35L/min$, LCT meal: $0.28{\pm}0.27L/min$). There were no significant differences in total postprandial carbohydrate and fat oxidation rates between the two meals. However, from 30 to 120 minutes after consumption of meals, the fat oxidation rate of MCT meal was significantly higher than that of the LCT meal. Comparison of satiety values (hunger, fullness and appetite) between the two meals showed that MCT meal maintained satiety for a longer time than the LCT meal. Conclusions: This study showed the possibility that long-term substitution of MCT for LCT would produce weight loss if energy intake remained constant.

알루미늄 초경량 차체의 충격 흡수부재 설계 및 충돌 안전도 평가 (Design of the Impact Energy Absorbing Members and Evaluation of the Crashworthiness for Aluminum Intensive Vehicle)

  • Due to the environmental problems of fuel consumption and vehicle emission, etc., automotive makers are trying to reduce the weight of vehicles. The most effective way to reduce a vehicle weight is to use lighter materials, such as aluminum and plastics. Aluminum Intensive Vehicle(AIV) has many advantages in the aspects of weight reduction, body stiffness and model change. So, most of automotive manufacturers are attempting to develop AIV using Aluminum Space Frame(ASF). The weight of AIV can be generally reduced to about 30% than that of conventional steel vehicle without the loss of impact energy absorbing capability. And the body stiffness of AIV is higher than that of conventional steel monocoque body. In this study, Aluminum Intensive Vehicle is developed and analyzed on the basis of steel monocoque body. The energy absorbing characteristics of aluminum extrusion components are investigated from the test and simulation results. The crush and crash characteristics of AIV based on the FMVSS 208 regulations are evaluated in comparison with steel monocoque. Using these results, the design concepts of the effective energy absorbing members and the design guide line to improve crashworthiness for AIV are suggested.

플래시 기반 임베디드 DBMS의 전력기반 질의 최적화를 위한 비용 모델 (Cost Models of Energy-based Query Optimization for Flash-aware Embedded DBMS)

  • 임베디드 시스템에서 데이터베이스의 사용이 증가하고 있으며 이의 임베디드 시스템의 저장 장치로 낸드 플래시 메모리가 널리 사용되고 있다. 기존 데이터베이스 시스템의 질의 처리기의 최적화기는 저장 시스템을 디스크로 가정하고 설계되어 있다. 플래시 메모리는 디스크와는 달리 덮어 쓰기 연산을 하기 위해서는 기존 블록을 소거한 후 쓰기 연산을 해야하는 부담이 있다. 그러므로 기존 디스크 기반의 질의 최적화기는 임베디드 시스템에 적합하지 않다. 특히 임베디드 시스템은 전력 소모량을 최소화해야 하나 플래시에서의 빈번한 쓰기 연산은 추가적인 소거 연산으로 인한 전력 소비를 증진시킨다. 본 논문은 임베디드 데이터베이스에서 전력 기반 비용 모델을 새롭게 제시하고, 디스크 기반 비용 모델과 비교하여 제시한 비용 모델과의 차이를 보인다.
