Atmospheric aerosols play a crucial role for changing climate, resulting in a wide range of uncertainty for future climate prediction. In this paper we review current international research status and trend of climate-related aerosol science. There have been carried out a number of campaigns (including ACE-Asia, TRACE-P, ABC, and so on) and special experiments with some modeling studies over Korea, East Asia, and the Northwestern Pacific to characterize the various properties (physical, chemical, optical, and radiative) of Asian aerosols and evaluate their climate forcing impacts. But some parts of the aerosol research may need to be improved, advanced, or newly launched. Especially, a chemical transport model (CTM) embedded by a general circulation model (GCM) should be developed by the national scientific community with a high research priority, actively collaborating with international community in order to estimate direct and indirect global radiative forcing due to anthropogenic and natural aerosols.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the concept, general framework, planning process of bioregion, and bioregional impacts on landscape planning of future and to discuss the application possibility of landscape planning. Bioregionalism is defined in the course of following: knowing the land, learning the lore, developing the potential, liberating the self. Bioregional paradigm was composed of policy system insisted on diversity and decentralization based on region and community, sustainable economy structure focused on conservation and stability, and society structure through cooperation with common consciousness in the community. A general bioregional framework was organized to be able to achieve a sustainable future with interaction for humans being, other living things, and important earth life system. Bioregional mapping should be able to explain three important aspects about how localised and sustainable cultures would exist: to define the external boundaries, to describe forces of energy, and give a hint for th productive capability. In conclusion, according to the result of reviewing the total environmental planning, bioregional paradigm, examples of projects, technique of bioregional mapping, and actions of Nongovernmental Organizations(NGOs). this study is helpful to show an applicability of bioregional planning theory in Korea

To investigate the possibility of horizontal gene transfer between agricultural microorganisms and soil microorganisms in the environment, Bacillus subtilis KB producing iturin and the PGPR recombinant strain Pseudomonas fluorescens MX1 were used as model microorganisms. The soil samples of cucumber or tomato plants cultivated in pots and the greenhouse for a six month period were investigated by PCR, real-time PCR, Southern hybridization, and terminal restriction fragment length polymorphism (T-RFLP) fingerprinting. Our data from Southern blotting and T-RFLP patterns suggest that the model bacteria do not give significant impacts on the other bacteria in the pots and greenhouse during cultivation.

This paper analyzes: (1) the effects of the population growth in the regions in which the campuses are located (2) the economic effects (3) the social and cultural effects 94) the linkage effects between university and regional community. It is found that the campuses have various effects on the regional community through the human capitals, economic and cultural factors, and educational program. In particular local campuses have substantial impacts on regional economy. Two local campuses have been found to have more regional income effects than manufacturing and service industries do. Thus, it is necessary that the growth of linkage mechanism with universities and induced consumption expenditure by universities should be constructed in the region having local campuses. In order to increase these effects on regional development, much attention should be given to the regional development aspect from university authorities, students, professors, and residents. Also from the national policy point associated with material-moving policy and capital mobility policy in relation to the universities should be estabilished.

The degree to which people share knowledge has major impacts on the effectiveness of virtual community of practice (VCoP). As an extension to the previous study which investigated the effect of individual cooperative types (cooperator, reciprocator, and free rider) on knowledge sharing, it is investigated how much increase in the degree of cooperation will enhance knowledge sharing when there are more knowledge contributors and strong ties exist across the community. Simulation method is adopted to measure the effect of the cooperative type and tie strength on knowledge sharing. The results reveal that the tie strength positively affects knowledge contribution in VCoP and strongly tied VCoP generates equivalent level of knowledge contribution as that of weakly-tied VCoP with 5% more contributors.

COVID-19 has caused extensive human casualties with significant economic impacts around the globe, and has imposed new challenges on health systems worldwide. Over the past decade, SARS, Ebola, and Zika also led to significant concerns among the scientific community. Interestingly, the SARS and Zika epidemics ended before vaccine development; however, the scholarly community and the pharmaceutical companies responded very quickly at that time. Similarly, when the genetic sequence of SARS-CoV-2 was revealed, global vaccine companies and scientists have stepped forward to develop a vaccine, triggering a race toward vaccine development that the whole world is relying on. Similarly, an effective and safe vaccine could play a pivotal role in eradicating COVID-19. However, few important questions regarding SARS-CoV-2 vaccine development are explored in this review.

The delivery of high-quality antenatal care is a perennial global concern for improving maternal and neonatal outcomes. Antenatal care is currently provided mainly on a one-to-one basis, but growing evidence has emerged to support the effectiveness of group antenatal care. Providing care in a small group gives expectant mothers the opportunity to have discussions with their peers about certain issues and concerns that are unique to them and to form a support system that will improve the quality and utilization of antenatal care services. The aim of this article is to promote group antenatal care as a means to increase utilization of healthcare.

이 연구는 도시 내의 특정 지역으로의 사회적인 불리의 집중에 의한 지역 효과와 관련된 서구의 선행연구를 중심으로 이론적인 검토를 수행하였다. 이에 기반하여 지역의 실태조사를 분석하여 '사회적 불리지역'의 실태와 거주자의 필요를 동정(同定)함과 더불어 이 결과에 근거하여 보다 포섭적인 지역재생을 위한 과제를 모색해 보았다. 조사에서는 지역의 고령화와 저소득층의 지역적인 집중이 심화되어 지구내의 커뮤니티 믹스에 편중 현상이 나타나고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 현재 가장 어려움을 겪고 있는 것으로는 경제적인 면과 건강면에서의 불안을 들 수 있으며, 향후 필요로 되는 복지서비스로서는 주택관련 상담과 건강, 가사서비스 등, 주민의 고령화에 수반하여 필요로 요구되는 내용이 대부분을 차지하고 있다. 지역의 고령화와 저소득층의 집중이 심화되고 있으며, 이에 수반하여 지역이 다양한 과제를 경험하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 동화대책 관련법이 효력을 상실한 현재, 이들 지역의 과제와 필요에 대한 대응으로, 공적인 지원에 더하여 지역 주체의 대응, 즉 지역 주체에 의한 새로운 거버넌스 모델을 수립해갈 필요가 있다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of perceived risk, community usage motive, and price sensitivity of customers who purchase children's wear directly from overseas on customer satisfaction. Specifically, this study is aimed at verifying the moderating effect of price sensitivity when perceived risk and community usage motive significantly influence customer satisfaction. A survey was conducted among consumers who experienced directly purchasing children's wear from overseas and engaging in communities. A total of 415 questionnaires were distributed, which 41 responses were insincere and excluded; thus, 374 responses were analyzed. Results of this study are as follows. First, the analysis on how perceived risk and community usage motive influence customer satisfaction reveals the significant influence of economic and social psychological risk on customer satisfaction. Moreover, informational, recreational, and social emotional usage motive have a significant influence on customer satisfaction. Second, the effect of perceived risk and community usage motive on customer satisfaction based on different levels of price sensitivity was verified. As a result, delivery and economic risks affect customer satisfaction for consumers with high price sensitivity. Moreover, recreational usage motive has a significant influence on customer satisfaction for high price sensitive consumers. In conclusion, perceived risk negatively impacts customer satisfaction. Therefore, it is essential to provide a system that can reduce the perceived risk of consumers who purchase children's wear directly from overseas.

온라인 공간에서의 정보 및 지식에 대한 공유활동은 매우 활발하기 진행되고 있으며, 많은 인터넷 이용자들이 자신이 필요한 정보나 지식을 카페, 블로그 등과 같은 온라인 전자공간에서 공유하며 이용하고 있다. 온라인 전자공간에서 자신이 필요한 정보나 지식을 공유하는 공간으로 사용되는 가상커뮤니티는 이용자간 온라인 커뮤니케이션 수단으로 사용될 뿐만 아니라 가상공간을 이용한 정보 및 지식공유의 장으로서 매우 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 국내의 경우 다음, 네이버, 파란, 네이트 등 중요 포털사이트들은 사용자들의 편의제공목적은 물론이고, 주요 포털 사이트 이용자들이 가지고 있는 각종 정보 및 지식공유를 위한 수단으로 가상 커뮤니티를 이용하고 있으며, 실제로 많은 인터넷 이용자들이 자신의 관심사나 관심분야와 관련한 가상커뮤니티를 통해 많은 정보와 지식을 공유하고 있다. 가상 커뮤니티의 성공적 운영을 위한 연구들이 수행되어오고 있지만, 보다 세밀한 연구수행이 필요한 시점이며, 이에 본 연구에서는 가상 커뮤니티 이용자들이 지각한 특성들이 이용자 태도, 커뮤니티 신뢰, 만족을 경유하여 충성도에 미치는 영향력 과정을 여러 선행연구로부터 도출하고, 이를 실증적으로 검증하였다. 그 결과 가상커뮤니티 유용성과 편리성 그리고 친숙성이 이용자 태도를 경유하여 만족과 충성도에 유의적인 영향을 미친다는 점을 확인하였으며, 구성원 신뢰와 커뮤니티 명성이 커뮤니티에 대한 신뢰, 만족, 충성도에 각각 유의적인 영향을 미친다는 점을 확인하였다. 이러한 본 연구의 결과는 추후 가상커뮤니티를 운영하는 기업의 전략수립에 많은 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.
