A comparative analysis on mantle communities in South Korea and Japan was carried out. The study was accomplished by using syntaxa and hierarchical system of mantle communities in South Korea and Japan through Zurich-Montpellier School's method, and also achieved comparison on syntaxonomy, synecology, syndynamics and syngeography between two countries. Mantle communities in South Korea and Japan were defined to the Rosetea multilorae representing mantle vegetation in Northeast Asia. Mantle communities in Japan showed much diverse than those in South Korea. Mantle communities in South Korea and Japan considerably corresponded between the two. Results of the current study will make possible to accumulate qualitative $\bullet$quantitative informations on mantle communities in Northeast Asia. And the subsidiary knowledge from this study will provide practical data on comparative analysis about whole mantle communities in Northeast Asia.
The primary purpose of this study is to examine the effects of perceived characteristics on user satisfaction and continuous usage intention in personal communities. We developed a research model based on the literature reviews of personal communities, TAM, perceived risks, and satisfaction. The research model includes perceived playfulness, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and perceived risk as perceived characteristics in personal communities. For validation of this theoretical model, we survey the users of 'Mini-hompy', one of the most popular personal communities in Korea. The research model was empirically verified by structural equation model analysis with data collected from 407 samples. Analysis of the results indicates that perceived ease of use is positively related perceived playfulness and perceived usefulness. Perceived playfulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived risks are significantly related to satisfaction. User's satisfaction has positive relationship with continuous usage intention in personal communities.
To describe the major environmental factors operating in coastal wetland and to characterize the distribution of the plant species over the wetland in relation to the major environmental gradients, 12 soil physical and chemical properties were determined. The gradient of water and osmotic potential of soil, electrical conductivity, sodium and chloride content and soil texture alsong the three habitat types of salt marshes, salt swamp and sand dune were occurred. The 24 coastal plant communities from principal component analysis (PCA) on the 12 variables were at designated as a gradient for soil texture and water potential related with salinity by Axis I and as a gradient for soil moisture and total nitrogen gradient by Axis II On Axis I were divided into 3 groups (1) 9 salt marsh communities including Salicornia herbacea communities (2) 5 salt swamp communities including Scirpus fluviatilis communities and (3) 10 sand dune communities including Jmperata cylindrica communities on Axis II were divided into 2 groups (1) salt marsh and sand dune communities, and (2) 3 salt swamp communities. The results could account for the zonation of plant communities on coastal wetland observed alsong envionmental gradients.

The purpose of this study was to examine the ecological characteristics of herbaceous communities by systematic and scientific analysis of their structure and diversity in the Midongsan Arboretum and to offer raw data for a long-tenn monitoring study. The importance value and diversity index of species appearing in twenty plots from July to September, 2004 were analyzed and a management plan for these communities is presented. Vascular plants were represented by 60 taxa of 23 families, 51 genera, 50 species and 10 varieties. Based on the results of importance value analysis, the most dominant species was Artemisia princeps var. orientalis, followed by Setaria viridis and Erigeron canadensis. The diversity index analysis showed that plot no. 5 had the highest H' and H'_{max}$(2.0135 and 2.6391). It's species composition was comparatively more diverse and it's structure more stable than other plots. Artemisia montana and Dactylis glomerata showed the highest correlation between species. Because herbaceous communities are important biological habitats and provide important function in environmental conservation, it is important to properly preserve these communities. At the same time, in order to preserve genetic resources and improve spatial function, it may be necessary to consider removing herbaceous communities in certain areas. In the future, the relations between physicochemical soil properties and herbaceous communities should be examined and community movement should be studied.
This study investigates the different characteristics (mainly of community life) in representative intentional communities, between the ecovillage and cohousing, since the different purpose of the establishment of the community might result different characteristics. The study method is data analysis: the analysis material is Community Directory, A Comprehensive Guide to Intentional Communities and Cooperative Living (Rutledge, 2005). Of 750 listed communities, 397 (211 ecovillages and 186 cohousings) communities were analyzed. The findings of the study reveal that there are clear differences of community life between ecovillages and cohousings even though two communities are regarded as similar intentional communities. The similarities between the two communities are as follows: 1) Those mostly distributed in the USA, and established before 2000. 2) Dominant size of intentional communities is less than 20 residents and 20 houses. 3) They make decisions in consensus. 4) They eat together very frequently; at least once a week or more. 5) Shared work is required. The differences between the two communities are as follows: 1) They have different aims of establishment. For instance, ecovillage focus more on eco-living, while cohousing focuses more on the cohousing idea. 2) There are more female residents in cohousings than in ecovillages. 3) There are more cohousings in urban areas with a smaller area of land, contrary to that there are more ecovillages in rural areas with larger areas of land. 4) There are less identified leaders or leadership core groups in cohousing than in ecovillages. 5) Income sharing is more common in ecovillages than in cohousings. According to there findings, it is evident that a different purpose of establishment result in different characteristics of community life even though those belong to the similar category of the intentional community. Thus, it is recommended to adapt the correct characteristics that fit the aim of the community in the establishment an intentional community Topics and discussions about establishing intentional Topics and discussions abut establishing intentional communities could contribute to gather the intentional communities could contribute to gather the interests communities could contribute to gather the interests of residents as well as those of relevant civil-workers and administrators in Korea.

This study was carried out to investigate the ecological behaviour forage value and similarity among the plant communities of the grazing pasture near Witzenhausen in middle part of Germany. Sixteen plant communities of the different grazing pasture were mostly the Molinio-Arrhenatheretea and Festuco-Brometea, and those were named the class of plant sociological nomenclature. The ecological behaviour and forage value of the communities except mesobromion(half dry grassland community) were relatively good for forage production. The correlation coefficient between class No. 14 and 12 of plant communities was highest, and the similarity among the communities were greatly affected by botanical composition. The resemblance measure of the cluster-analysis by complete-linkage-method for the similarity among plant communities was better the euclidean distance than those of others. The clustering analysis showed that the communities of relatively similar botanical composition were closely grouped.

The study was aimed to understand the ecological status of the Maebongsan urban forest in Cheongju-si through investigating the vegetation, soil characteristics, and soil microarthropods. Phytosociological analysis for twenty plots revealed that the plant communities were classified into Pinus rigida community, Robinia pseudoacacia community, Castanea crenata community, Quercus acutissima community, Pinus strobus community, Pinus koraiensis community, and Larix kaempferi community. The importance value showed that afforestation tree species like Castanea crenata, Robinia pseudoacacia, and Pinus rigida dominate the urban forest. DBH analysis indicated that although the plant communities seem to be under the succession to Quercus forest, the dominance of Castanea crenata and Robinia pseudoacacia might still persist for several more decades. The properties of soils from the plant communities showed that loamy sand and sandy loam in soil texture, low organic matters, and severe acidification. The abundance of soil microarthropods were not different among the plant communities except Castanea crenata community and Pinus koraiensis community. The two communities showed especially low abundance of collembola and acarina. Thus, we can say that Castanea crenata community and Pinus koraiensis community seem to have been influenced strongly by anthropogenic activities.
We tested if the treatment of Beauveria bassiana would influence invertebrate communities in litter and soils by multivariate analysis. The PCA (principal components analysis) was used for the analysis. Using the distances between communities in the ordination space, we carried out statistical tests whether any factors would influence structures of the communities. We did not found any significant effects of the Beauveria treatment on invertebrate communities in both litter and soils.

The ecological behaviour and forage value of natural grassland communities and the similarity between plant communities near Wit~enhausen in middle part of Gennany were investigated from June to August. 1993. The total number of plant communities at different place surveyed during the study period was twelve. The ecological behaviour and forage value of the natural grassland communities except mesobromion (half dry grassland community) were relatively good for roughage production. The correlation coefficients between plant eornmunilies were greatly affected by botanical composition. The clustering analysis showed that the communities of relatively similar botanical composition were grouped closely, and the other communities were clustered to the same group although the degree of similarity between communities was low.
The aim of the research study is to carve sustainable business strategies for the fashion communities in Ethiopia and Ukraine which are suffering today due to ever-increasing share of fast fashion consumerism. Fashion houses and international brands propagandize sustainability and consumption for better consumer base, where as originally sustainable local-based craftsmen still stay in the shade. Four communities/local designers are selected from the countries through the method of purposive sampling. Qualitative analysis is the basis of the research as we performed personal interviews and in-depth analysis of the communities to diagnose the problems and subsequently devise the solutions. In this research, we have studied and analyzed the problems faced by hereditary communities and ethnic designers in small and medium scale enterprise sector from two emerging economies. After the grounding the difficulties faced we advised strategies for sustainable future growth to the companies. The current academic literature on small and medium scale enterprises highlights the problems and solutions for general industry sectors. This paper brings attention to fashion communities and designers who promote national heritage and are struggling to survive in emerging economies due to industrialization and globalization. Moreover the comparison of the two geographies is unique in nature.
