  • In this paper, we developed a prototype model accident management SMART-Navigation project. In order to develop a prototype model, we analyzed the status of maritime data exchange standard and procedure. We developed accident management prototype application schema, feature catalog and portrayal catalog in accordance with S-100 standard data model development procedure by collecting requirements related services and referring to related standards. In order to verify accident management prototype model, we test data set based on Gwang-yang Port. The prototype model and test data verified verification software, and it was confirmed that the designated symbol was displayed at the correct position through the S-100 simple viewer.

  • The National Geographic Institute(NGI), a national mapping agency, has begun to digitalize national base maps to vitalize nation-wide GIS implementations. However, the NGI's cartographic database design reflects only paper map production and is considered inflexible for various applications. In order to suggest an appropriate data model and database implementation method, approaches of two mapping agencies are analyzed: the United State Geological Survey and Ordnance Survey in the United Kingdom One important finding from the analysis is that each data model is designed to achieve two production purposes in the same time : map and data. By taking advantageous features from the two approaches, an ideal model is proposed. To adapt the ideal model to tile present situation in Korean GIS community, a realistic model is generated, which is an 'SDTS-oriented' data model. Because SDTS will be a Korean data transfer standard, it will be a common basis in developing other data models for different purposes.

  • For count responses, the situation of excess zeros often occurs in various research fields. Zero-inflated model is a common choice for modeling such count data. Bayesian inference for the zero-inflated model has long been recognized as a hard problem because the form of conditional posterior distribution is not in closed form. Recently, however, Pillow and Scott (2012) and Polson et al. (2013) proposed a Pólya-Gamma data-augmentation strategy for logistic and negative binomial models, facilitating Bayesian inference for the zero-inflated model. We apply Bayesian zero-inflated negative binomial regression model to longitudinal pharmaceutical data which have been previously analyzed by Min and Agresti (2005). To facilitate posterior sampling for longitudinal zero-inflated model, we use the Pólya-Gamma data-augmentation strategy.

  • The goal of research is to propose a framework for drawing data search system which is based on the web. The existing search systems were reviewed in the form of case studies and thereby the limitation were addressed: the unsystematic translation between the presentational building model and the discursive design criteria. besides the limited area in sharing and space. Therefore, a web-based drawing search with common structure which building representational model and building behavior model is proposed. The system contains a number of phases: firstly, a user is required to build a building model with the proposed building representational model and then this model is automatically transformed into an aspect model; secondly, a user is also required to present his query in form of the propose building behavior model by web page; finally, these two models - building representational model and building behavior model - are compared by database data so as to retrieve the proper result.

  • Lee (2010) developed a confidence interval for the difference of binomial proportions in two doubly sampled data subject to false-positive errors. The confidence interval seems to be adequate for a general double sampling model subject to false-positive misclassification. However, in many applications, the false-positive error rates could be the same. On this note, the construction of asymptotic confidence interval is considered when the false-positive error rates are common. The coverage behaviors of nine likelihood based confidence intervals are examined. It is shown that the confidence interval based Rao score with the expected information has good performance in terms of coverage probability and expected width.

  • The present study investigated the microcirculation of blood in the left common artery (LCCA). In order to develop a mathematical model for microcirculation in LCCA, the present study adopted preexisted set of measured morphological data on anatomy, mechanical properties of the coronary vessels, viscosity of blood, the basic laws of physics, and the appropriate boundary conditions. In this study, the statistical distribution of blood pressure, blood flow, and blood volume in the LCCA were determined based on the anatomical branching pattern of the coronary arterial tree and the statistical data of blood vessel dimensions. Our calculations were in good agreement with the previous studies. The present results showed that the mean longitudinal pressure drop profile was function of the vessel order numbers. It was found that the normalized pressure drop was a logarithmic function of the compliance.

  • The issues raised so far in the development of safety-critical systems have centered on how effectively the safety requirements are met in systems design. The systems are becoming more complex due to the increasing demand on the functionality and performance. As such, the integration of both the systems design and systems safety processes becomes more important and at the same time quite difficult to carry out. In this paper, an approach to solving the problem is presented, which is based on an integrated data model. To do so, the data generated from the inputs and outputs of the systems design and systems safety processes are analyzed first. The results of analysis are used to extract common attributes among the data, thereby making it possible to define classes. The classes then become the cores of the interface data model through which the interaction between the two processes under study can be modeled and interpreted. The approach taken has also been applied in a design case to demonstrate its value. It is expected that the results of the study could play a role of the stepping stone in extending to the architecture development of the integrated process.

  • Although the estimate of regression function is important, some have focused the variance estimation of error term in regression model. Different variance estimators perform well under different conditions. In many practical situations, it is rather hard to assess which conditions are approximately satisfied so as to identify the best variance estimator for the given data. In this article, we suggest SHM estimator compared to LS estimator, which is common estimator using in parametric multiple regression analysis. Moreover, a combined estimator of variance, VEM, is suggested. In the simulation study it is shown that VEM performs well in practice.

  • In the case of blur processing, it is common to use a tool such as Photoshop to perform processing manually. However, it can be considered very efficient if the blur is processed at one time in the object detection process. Based on this point, we can use the object detection model to blur the objects during the process. The object detection is performed by using the YOLO [3] model. If such blur processing is used, it may be additionally applied to streaming data of video or image.
