거제연안 새우조망 조업구역과 비 조업구역에서의 어획물 특성 (Catches characteristics between fishing area and non-fishing area in the shrimp beam trawl of Geoje waters, Korea)

  • Experimental fishing was carried out to compare and analyze catch characteristics of shrimp beam trawl in a fishing area and a non-fishing area during the period of fishing season and off-fishing season in the coastal waters of Geoje. A commercial fishing boat (4.99 tons) was used for the test fishing. The amount of total catches were 14,654g in the fishing area and 12,359g in the non-fishing area, shrimp catches of non-fishing area were much greater than that of the fishing area during the period of off-fishing season (June and August). However, total catches were 27,670g in the fishing area and 33,004g in the non-fishing area, shrimp catches of fishing area were bigger than that of non-fishing area during the period of fishing season (October and December). On the results of the study, catches characteristics between fishing area and non-fishing area showed the reversed results for the period of fishing season and off-fishing season.

  • This study analyzes interrelationship with air pollution quality and land use patterns using GIS. The relationship can be obtained via three steps: (1) making out air pollution map from air pollution information of study area, (2) dividing land use patterns into residential area, commercial area, industrial area, traffic concentrated area, and non-polluted area, and (3) spatial overlaying analysis of GIS. Moreover, through analyzing air pollution quality by land use patterns, pollution sources can be identified. The results also coincide with the characteristics of conventional air pollution finding. More detailed analyses using articulated on site air pollution quality measurement databases are needed to correctly identify the pollution sources through finding interrelationship with land use patterns and air pollution Quality using GIS. The developed method can help trace the path of pollution sources and plan urban land use projects.

제주도 서귀포시지역의 용도지역별 하수발생량 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the characteristics of wastewater flowrate in land-use of Sogwipo-city in Cheju)

  • To identify the characteristics of wastewater flow generated in treatment basins of Seogwipo-city, we selected 3 stations representing the basin and performed 7 times of field survey including 5 times in dry periods and 2 times in wet periods from Feb. 25 to May 27, 2002 for the selected stations. From the analysis of flow data measured for more than 60 days in the interval of 5 minutes and concentration data obtained from laboratory analysis, we can draw several conclusions. First, in the analysis of diurnal variation of wastewater flow for land-use types, we could find the following results: in the residential area, it is observed that wastewater flow rates rise early in the morning for the office-going hour and fall gradually and rise again after the office-leaving hour, showing typical residential wastewater flow pattern, while for the residential and commercial area flow rates rise early in the morning at the office-going hour and move up and down repeatedly within wide range and last till the office-leaving hour, which can be resulted from wastewater that is generated by tourists activated after early in the afternoon, while for the touristy area flow rates rise early in the morning and fall gradually and rise again within wide range. Second, in the analysis of temporal variation of wastewater flow for monthly, it can be observed that in the residential area, in the residential and commercial areas the flow rate of May is higher than that of Feb., March, while for the touristy area flow rate is without monthly because it reflects the movement of population, Third, in wet periods concentration of water-quality item such as SS, BOD, and COD_{cr}$ is high in the beginning of rainfall by first flush, and falls down gradually to reach the steady state, which is the level of wastewater in dry periods after the cease of storm water due to diluting effect resulting from additional runoff water through storm sewers.

춘천지역 대기부유분진의 DNA 손상효과 (Genotoxicity of Total Suspended Particulate in Chuncheon Area)

  • This study was to evaluate the genotoxic effects of airborne particulate matters using single cell gell elec trophoresis (comet assay) in A549 human lung carcinoma cells. The total suspended particulate (TSP) was collected on back-up filter in Chuncheon, Kangwon Do, South Korea from April, 2003 to February, 2005. The concentrations of TSP, B(a)p and most of heavy metals seemed to be higher in spring and winter, and lower in summer. And they showed higher concentration in the commercial areas and the residential area having more traffics than in the rural area. It was found that A549 cells interacting with the organic extract of TSP showed more DNA single-strand breaks compare to untreated cells. The genotoxicity of the organic extract of TSP was increased with the pre-treatment of S-9 mixture during the culture or with the treatment of endonuclease after cell lysis. The DNA damage by the organic extract of TSP was higher in winter and the commercial area than in summer and the rural area. This study suggests that TSP, heavy metals and B(a)P analyzed showed significant variation depend on the seasons and the areas which are correlated with the DNA damage evaluated by Comet assay, indicating that genotoxic biomarker is useful for toxicological evaluation of air quality.

  • 본 연구는 상가부동산의 권리금 결정요인을 입지, 인테리어 및 시설, 통행량, 매출액, 밀집도로 선정하여 대학로 및 동숭로 상가 임차인 대상으로 설문 분석한 결과 입지가 가장 큰 영향을 미치며, 다음은 매출액, 통행량, 인테리어 및 시설이고 밀집도는 영향이 미미하였다. 또한 성별, 연령, 학력, 업태, 소득 차이를 분석한 결과 외부적인 요소와 내부적인 요소가 복합적으로 권리금에 영향을 주는 것으로 분석하였다. 이 결과를 신규 창업자 및 점포이전 임차인들에게 제공하여 사업 성공에 기여하고자 한다.

Characterization of depth filter media for gas turbine intake air cleaning

  • A depth filter medium was newly designed in order to achieve high collection of dust and low pressure drop in this work. Multilayer depth filter media consist of an upstream layer of highly porous structure which allows particles to pass through and to follow by one or more downstream layers to hold the particles inside the media. For each filter media, flat sheet and pleated module were made of newly developed depth filter media and filter media of commercial products. Commercial depth filter cartridge for gas turbine air intake cleaning were used as reference for filtration area and pleat geometry of pleated modules. This work attempts to evaluate and compare the newly developed depth filter medium and two commercial filter media in terms of filtration parameters such as air permeability, initial pressure drop, particle retention and pressure drop variation with dust loading. According to the close examination the newly developed depth filter showed better performance compared to the commercial depth filter media.

  • 위성시스템의 성능 및 무게, 비용 등의 요구조건이 높아지면서 시스템 설계를 위한 고성능,고효율의 전기전자부품이 요구되고 있다. 이런 요구를 충족하기 위하여NASA나 ESA에서 사용하고 있는 고 신뢰성과 안전성에 바탕을 둔 기존의 표준소자에 비해 신기술과 고성능으로 빠르게 업그레이드되고 있는 상용부품의 수요가 증가하고 있다. 특히 상용집적소자인 PEM은 많은 우주프로그램에서 사용되고 있고 그 영역을 넓히기 위한 연구가 계속되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 우주 프로그램에 사용하기 위한 상용PEM소자의 고려사항과 검증동향에 대해 소개하고자 한다.

졸-겔법으로 제조된 $TiO_2$촉매에 의한 합성세제의 광분해 (A Photocatalytic Degradation of Synthetic Detergent over $TiO_2$ Catalysts Prepared by Sol-Gel Method)

  • An aqueous solution of a commercial liquid synthetic detergent for kitchen use was photodecomposed in the presence of titanium dioxides ponder under an atmosphere of air at room temperature. Titanium dioxides were prepared by sol-gel method from titanium iso-propoxide at different R R ratio($H_2O$/titanium iso-propoxide) and calcined at $500^{\circ}C$. All titanium dioxides m characterized by XRD, BET surface area analyzer and UV-VIS spectrometer. The surface mea of titanium dioxides prepared at R ratio=6 appeared higher volume about 20% than commercial $TiO_2$ catalyses. XRD patterns of titania particles were observed mixing phase together with rutile and anatase type. Titanium dioxides prepared by sol-gel method show higher activity about 6% than commercial $TiO_2$ catalysts on the Photocatalytic foundation of a commercial liquid synthetic detergent for kitchen. The concentration of the detergent decreased to about 90%, of its initial value at illumination times of 2 hour. illumination for 30 minutes decreased the concentration of oxygen to about one-fifth of the initial value.

  • The ultimate aim of this study is to diagnose the process stage and look at the step change of transition process to see how the step changes. Therefore, in this study, cluster analysis was conducted by examining four types of commercial characteristics such as Retail Homogeneity, Share of Neighbourhood store, Share of chain store, and Share of cafe & Western food store. Through the cluster analysis, three types have been identified. Type1 is the first step which can explain the time before gentrification occurs and when the ratio of neighborhood facilities is the highest. Type2 is the second step that can explain boutique stage where the gentrification occurs. At this time, the ratio of Cafes & Western food restaurant increased and the proportion of neighborhood shops decreased. And Type3, third step is when the mature gentrification occurs. In the analysis of the transition period, it is necessary to monitor the change of the industry in the period from the first stage to the second stage. In the transition period from the second stage to the third stage, It is necessary to constantly monitor such factors as the increase of shops.

대형 상용차용 독립 현가부품 플래쉬 부피 예측 모델 개발 (Development of Flash Volume Prediction Model for Independent Suspension Parts for Large Commercial Vehicles)

  • Recently, independent suspension systems have been applied not only to passenger cars but also to large commercial vehicles. Therefore, the need for research to domestically produce such independent suspensions for large commercial vehicles is gradually increasing. In this paper, we conducted research on the manufacturing technology of the relay lever, which are integral components of independent suspension systems for large commercial vehicles. Our goal was to reduce the flash volume generated during the forging process. The shape variables of the initial billet were adjusted to find proper forming conditions that could minimize flash volume while performing product forming smoothly. Shape variables were set as input variables and the flash volume was set as an output variable, and simulations were carried out to analytically predict the volume of the flash area for each variable condition. Based on the data obtained through numerical simulations, a regression model and an artificial neural network model were used to develop a prediction model that can easily predict the flash volume for variable conditions. For the corresponding prediction model, a goodness of-fit test was performed to confirm a high level of fit. By comparing and analyzing the two prediction models, the high level of fit of the ANN model was confirmed.
