There are several English constructions in which a certain constituent appears to the left of its canonical position, typically sentence-initially, leaving its canonical position empty. Such constructions involve Left-dislocation and Y-movement. These operations are called ‘Preposing.’ The preposed constituent of such constructions is generally regarded as the topic of the sentence which involves that constituent. Topics must have at least two features; ‘aboutness’ and ‘givenness.’ The feature ‘aboutness’ defines the range of comment, and the feature ‘givenness’ means ‘informationally old or given.’ The purpose of this paper is to show that the function of Preposing is to reinforce the aboutness of the preposed constituent of a sentence and that most preposed constituents have givenness. We examined Preposing for this purpose. Tough-movement and Passivization were examined also, because they have characteristics informationally similar to those of Preposing.

This paper reviews the requirements for far-infrared astronomy in the period following the SPICA satellite in the late 2020's. We take a very long view of the state of FIR astronomy and what facilities will be required in a twenty year timeframe. We show that spatial resolution to match that of observatories operating in the optical and mid-infrared and the radio will be a necessity. Moreover this high spatial resolution must be combined with high spectral and photometric sensitivity to provide the data required to further our understanding of planetary formation mechanisms, the history of star formation through cosmic time and the feedback between active galactic nuclei and their host galaxies in controlling star formation. We review three possible conceptual mission scenarios and comment on the possibility of realising them in the coming deades.

Public participation in the Environmental Impact Assessment(EIA) has been implemented since the August 1 of 1991 with the Environmental Policy Act promulgation in the August 1 of 1991. It is structured to comment on draft Environmental Impact Statement(EIS) through open reviewing, public meeting and hearing. Though public participation has an important role in determining environmental significance, it is room for improvement. With positive public participation and system development such as Environmental Impact Assessment Act on June 11 of 1993, the effectiveness of it will be improved. This article is composed of status of public participation, comparison with other countries, comparison analysis by items of EIS prepared before and after public participation, and contents of public opinions in EIS.

In this paper, we classify web-based social network into two types: open and community, and model user behavior in social activities. After that, we also propose the combination of instant messaging and web system as the method of support asynchronous/synchronous social activities. Furthermore, we introduce ImCoWeb prototype system that supports both asynchronous social activities (ex. social bookmark, comment, rate, and data share) and synchronous ones (ex. real-time communication, file transfer, co-browsing, and co-work). Because it is built on the existing instant messaging, it reduces costs by reusing the facilities such as session management, user management, and security of instant messaging.

We consider to obtain an estimate of bivariate survival function for the right censored data with the assumption that the two components of censoring vector are independent. The estimate is derived from an ad hoc approach based on the representation of survival function. Then the resulting estimate can be considered as an extension of the Susarla- Van Ryzin estimate to the bivariate data. Also we show the consistency and weak convergence for the proposed estimate. Finally we compare our estimate with Dabrowska's estimate with an example and discuss some properties of our estimate with brief comment on the extension to the multivariate case.

This research considers to propose the control charts using median for the location parameter. In order to decide the control limits, we apply several bootstrap methods through the approach obtaining the confidence interval except the standard bootstrap method. Then we illustrate our procedure using an example and compare the performance among the various bootstrap methods by obtaining the length between control limits through the simulation study. The standard bootstrap may be apt to yield shortest length while the bootstrap-t method, the longest one. Finally we comment briefly about some specific features as concluding remarks.

정보기술의 활용은 비단 컴퓨터 커뮤니케이션 분야만이 아니라 생산/제조관리 시스템에도 활용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 생산관리 시스템중 부품관리에 요구되는 품목의 코드화와 부품을 3차원 촬영으로 디지털화하는 장치의 개발을 다룬다. 촬영된 이미지는 웹 상으로도 제시되어 원격지에서 볼 수 있으며 이를 이용하면 원격지에서도 교육 및 훈련에 이용될 수 있다. 본 장치의 활용범위는 생산현장의 부품관리 이외에도 전자상거래, 사이버 전시, e-trade등에 적용가능하다.

It is expected that transportation sector will develope to a systematic and multi-disciplinary way in which transportation, information and electronic technologies are harmonized. This will be the way that the 21st century demand. To be prepared for such development, sharing of information from different sources through a integrated approach is essential. Also an active role of specialized staff are required to achieve a integrated control and management. The specialized staff should do his best for his task with appropriate specialty, a sense of responsibility, a progressive mind and a vision. He also make much effort to enhance and keep up-to-date his specialty. Then we can modestly look forward to a specialized Information society in the 21s1 century.

본 논문에서는 한국어 기본 유니트 단위로 WPM을 활용한 구글 플레이 스토어 앱의 댓글 감정분석을 수행하였다. 먼저 자동 띄어쓰기 시스템을 적용한 후, 어절단위, 형태소 분석기, WPM을 각각 적용하여 모델을 생성하고, 로지스틱 회귀(Logistic Regression), 소프트맥스 회귀(Softmax Regression), 서포트 벡터머신(Support Vector Machine, SVM)등의 알고리즘을 이용하여 댓글 감정(긍정과 부정)을 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 어절단위, 형태소 분석기보다 WPM이 최대 25%의 향상된 결과를 얻었다. 또한 분류 과정에서 로지스틱회귀, 소프트맥스 회귀보다는 SVM 성능이 우수했으며, SVM의 기본 파라미터({'kernel':('linear'), 'c':[4]})보다 최적의 파라미터를 적용({'kernel': ('linear','rbf', 'sigmoid', 'poly'), 'C':[0.01, 0.1, 1.4.5]} 하였을 때, 최대 91%의 성능이 나타났다.

A cyclopoid species from several salt marshes and estuaries on the west coast of South Korea were identified as Halicyclops continentalis Ueda and Nagai, 2009, recently described from Ariake Bay at northwestern Kyushu, Japan. Detailed examination on the Korean specimens justifies Ueda and Nagai's proposition that the H. sinensis sensu Tai and Chen, 1979 formerly known from the Chinese coast of the Yellow Sea should be identical to H. continentalis. Furthermore, this report reinforces their assumption on the geographical distribution of H. continentalis, that is, the Ariake Bay population is a continental relict of the East Asia continent. Herein, a redescription of the species is provided on the basis of the Korean specimens, with a comment on the morphological comparison among three populations around the Yellow Sea.
