열중량 분석기를 이용한 목재펠릿 및 국내무연탄의 연소 특성 조사 (Study on the Combustion Characteristics of Wood-pellet and Korean Anthracite Using TGA)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내 상용 순환유동층 보일러에서 연료로 사용하고 있는 저급 국내무연탄과 혼소용 연료로 이용할 예정인 목재펠릿의 각각의 연소 특성을 조사하기 위해 열중량 분석기(TGA)를 이용하여 비등온 실험(5, 10, 20, $30^{\circ}C/min$) 및 등온 조건으로 촤 연소 실험을 수행하였다. 목재펠릿의 경우는 승온 속도에 따라 차이가 있으나, 국내무연탄에 비해 낮은 온도인 $200{\sim}620^{\circ}C$ 사이에서 연소되었으며, 최대 반응속도를 나타내는 온도 또한 국내무연탄의 그것에 비해 매우 낮음을 알 수 있었다. 비등온 실험 결과를 Friedman 방법으로 해석한 결과, 무게감량이 가장 큰 2차 구간에서의 목재펠릿 및 국내무연탄의 활성화에너지는 44.12, 21.45 kcal/mol이었으며, 반응차수 및 빈도인자는 각각 5.153, 0.7453 및 $4.01{\times}10^{16}$, $1.39{\times}10^6(s^{-1})$임을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 등온 조건으로 촤 연소 실험 결과, 화학반응 율속단계에서의 목재펠릿 및 국내무연탄의 활성화에너지는 각각 27.5, 51.2 kcal/mol이었으며, 빈도인자는 각각 $2.55{\times}10^{12}$, $1.49{\times}10^{10}(s^{-1})$임을 확인할 수 있었다. 국내무연탄에 비해 목재펠릿이 낮은 온도에서 연소 반응이 시작이 되고 반응차수 및 빈도인자가 높아 반응속도를 빠를 것으로 판단되어 혼소 시 연소 제어가 잘 이루어질 경우, 연소로 내의 연소 분위기가 향상될 것으로 예상된다.

자전연소합성법에 의한 TiB2 분말의 제조에 있어 반응성에 대한 반응변수의 고찰 (The Investigation of Reaction Parameters on the Reactivity in the Preparation of TiB2 by SHS)

  • The preparation of $TiB_2$ by SHS in $B_2O_3-Mg-TiO_2$ system was investigated in this study. In the preparation of $TiB_2$, the effect on reactivity and reaction products of the initial pressure of inert gas in reactor, the content of Mg and $TiO_2$ in mixture was investigated. The minimum initial pressure of inert gas in reactor for SHS reaction in this system was 5atm, and as the pressure increased, the concentration of unreacted Mg decreased and combustion temperature increased. At the initial inert gas pressure in reactor of 50atm, the optimum composition for the preparation of pure $TiB_2$ was $B_2O_3+5Mg+TiO_2$. The $TiB_2$ synthesized in this condition had an irregular shape and the particle size of $1\~3{\mu}m$.

  • Reduction reactivity and carbon deposition characteristics of three oxygen carrier particles(OCN01, OCN02, OCN03) have been investigated by using hydrogen, methane, syngas, and natural gas as fuels. For all particles, the maximum conversion, the oxygen transfer capacity, and the degree of carbon deposition increased as the reactive carbon contents increased. The reduction rate and the oxygen transfer rate increased as the moles of required oxygen per input gas increased. The change of maximum conversion, reduction rate, oxygen transfer capacity, oxygen transfer rate and degree of carbon deposition for different fuels can be explained consistently by using parameters such as the reactive carbon contents and the moles of require oxygen per input gas.

  • Reduction reactivity and carbon deposition characteristics of mass produced oxygen carrier particle(OCN-650) have been investigated by using hydrogen, methane, syngas, and natural gas as fuels. For all fuels, the maximum conversion and oxygen transfer capacity increased as the temperature increase. The reduction rate and the oxygen transfer rate increased as the temperature increase for methane. However, those values showed maximum at 900$^{\circ}C$ for hydrogen, syngas, and natural gas. To explain consistently the change of maximum conversion, reduction rate, oxygen transfer capacity, oxygen transfer rate and degree of carbon deposition for different fuels, new parameters such as reactive carbon contents and require oxygen per input gas were adopted.

  • 도심 대기오염을 줄이고자 도입된 CNG 버스는 현재의 배기규제 기준을 만족시켜 도시 대기환경 개선에 많은 기여를 했지만 추가적인 후처리 장치의 도움 없이는 차기 배기기준인 유로6 배기규제를 만족시키기 매우 어렵다. 수소는 매우 활발하고 빠른 반응성을 가지고 있으며 희박가연한계 또한 매우 넓어 기존 연료와 함께 사용 시 개선된 연소 및 배기성능을 기대할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 시내버스용 대형 CNG 엔진에 수소를 일정 부분 CNG와 혼합한 HCNG 연료를 공급하여 희박연소를 시킴으로서 연소 및 배기성능을 개선하는 실험을 수행하였다. 수소혼합비율, 공연비, 점화시기 변화에 따른 연소 및 배기성능을 살펴보고 최적운전조건을 찾아내었으며 산화촉매 성능평가를 통해 11리터 버스용 HCNG 엔진의 상용화 가능성을 검토하였다.

  • Effect of $H_2S$ on reactivity of oxygen carrier was measured and discussed using fluidized bed reactor and SDN70 oxygen carrier. We could get 100% of fuel conversion and $CO_2$ selectivity even though $H_2S$ containing simulated syngas was used as fuel for reduction. Absorbed sulfur was released during oxidation and $N_2$ purge step after oxidation as $SO_2$ form. We could get 100% of fuel conversion and $CO_2$ selectivity during cyclic reduction-oxidation tests up to 10th cycle. However, only 6~7% of sulfur can be removed during oxidation and $N_2$ purge step and 93~94% of sulfur was accumulated in the oxygen carrier. Therefore we could conclude that total removal of sulfur was not possible. $SO_2$ emission during oxidation decreased as the number of cycle increased. Therefore we could expect that the reactivity of oxygen carrier will be decreased with time.

  • 순산소 순환유동층 연소기술은 기후변화 및 연료 수급 문제들을 해결할 수 있는 기술로 주목 받고 있다. 순산소 순환유동층 연소기술은 배기가스재순환 공정을 통해 이산화탄소를 비교적 쉽게 포집할 수 있으며 대기오염물질 배출도 줄일 수 있는 친환경 연소기술이다. 새롭게 개발된 $100kW_{th}$ 급 순산소 순환유동층 연소 시스템은 연료다변화에 대응하기 위해 다양한 연료들의 순산소연소 특성을 분석하고 있으며, 본 연구에서는 높은 고정탄소 및 회분함량으로 인해 연소성이 낮은 연료로 알려진 무연탄을 활용하여 높은 이산화탄소를 생산하고 연소효율을 향상시키고자 하였다. 그 결과로서, 무연탄 순산소 연소는 아역청탄 공기연소 대비, 연소효율이 2% 향상되었으며 대기오염물질인 $SO_2$, CO, NO은 각각 15%, 60%, 99% 감소하였다. 또한, 안정적인 순산소순환유동층 연소를 통해 배기가스 내 94 vol.% 이상의 $CO_2$ 가 포집될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

합성가스-순산소 예혼합 화염의 연소특성 (Syngas-Oxygen Combustion Characteristics of a Swirl-Stabilized Premixed Flame)

  • The present study deals with experimental investigations on the syngas-oxygen combustion characteristics of a swirl-stabilized premixed flame in a 10 kW combustor. The effect of hydrogen in syngas has been investigated with different swirl angles to identify the role of hydrogen and swirl strength on the flame stability and CO emissions. The results show that hydrogen addition extended the blowout limit while narrowing the flashback limit. The dependence of blowout on the swirl angle is negligible while the dependence of flashback on the swirl angle is evidenced by two regimes depending on the amount of hydrogen. CO emission is decreased with increasing excess $O_2$ supply or increasing hydrogen content. Chemiluminescence diagnostics is utilized to provide information on the structure of a swirl-stabilized premixed flame. The OH chemiluminescence intensity is more concentrated near the burner exit with an increase in the hydrogen content, which results from high reactivity of hydrogen.

Ti−TiH2−C−N2계에서 연소반응에 의한 TiC0.7N0.3 분말의 제조 (Preparation of Ti−TiH2−C−N2Powder by Combustion Reaction in the System of TiC0.7N0.3)

  • The preparation of $TiC_{0.7}N_{0.3}$ powder by SHS in the system of $Ti-TiH_2-C$ ($N_2$ atmosphere) was investigated in this study. In the preparation of $TiC_{0.7}N_{0.3}$ powder, the effect of gas pressure, compositions such as Ti, $TiH_2$, C, and additive in mixture on the reactivity were investigated. At 50 atm of the initial inert gas pressure in reactor, the optimum composition for the preparation of pure $TiC_{0.7}N_{0.3}$ was $0.75Ti+0.25TiH_2+0.7C+0.5NaCl$. The $TiC_{0.7}N_{0.3}$ powder synthesized in this condition was a single phase with irregular shape.

매체순환연소를 위한 Ni계열 산소전달입자의 반응 특성 및 반응 모델 (Reaction Characteristics and Kinetics of Ni-bsed Oxygen Carrier for Chemical Looping Combustion)

  • Reaction characteristics and kinetics of a oxygen carrier (OCN717-R1SU) for chemical looping combustion (CLC) have been investigated using TGA by changing gas concentration (10-30 vol.% $CH_4$) and reaction temperature ($825-900^{\circ}C$). Reaction rate of OCN717-R1SU increased as temperature increased and it was found that reaction is delayed at the initial reaction regime. Johnson-Mehl-Avrami (JMA) model was adopted to explain the reaction phenomenon. The activation energy (E) determined by JMA model in reduction reaction of OCN717-R1SU is $151.7{\pm}2.03kJ/mol$ and pre-exponential factor and JMA exponent were also obtained. The parameters calculated in this study will be applied in design of the reactor and operation conditions for CLC process.
