  • Automotive parts manufacturers are doing their best to strengthen the competitiveness. They are developing a large variety of new manufacturing technologies to reduce the manufacturing cost. Combined One Body Stamping(C.O.B.S) is one of the remarkable technologies to reduce production cost. C.O.B.S makes possible to form several parts together in a process using only one die set while conventional stamping demands the same number of die sets to the number of parts. But the deformation mechanism in C.O.B.S is more complicated because the interactions between blanks. So the interaction effects should be considered in the stage of initial blank shape design. In the study, a blank design method to consider the interactions between blanks was proposed and verified through the simulations and experiments. A commercial incremental FE code, LS-Dyna, was used to simulate the C.O.B.S Process. And a reverse one step FE code, Hyper Form, was used to predict initial blank shape. The boundary conditions of the reverse one step FE analysis were determined by the proposed method.

미세 스탬핑용 박판소재의 물성치 측정 (Measurement of Material Properties for Miniature Stamping)

  • Rather than traditional manufacturing processes, miniature manufacturing processes usually require sophisticated equipments and characteristics of the processes of high cost and of low productivity. Contrarily, miniature stamping process can be realized in a low cost high productivity with relatively inexpensive equipments. In the meso scale, mechanical properties, especially work hardening characteristics, are discovered to be statically scattered and size dependent by intensive experimental and numerical investigations, which make the stamping process hard to apply to the miniature manufacturing. In this study, dual purpose experimental device that can be used for both miniature scale tensile test and miniature scale stamping by simple change of attachment has been developed. For the tensile test, the elongation has been measured with a combined use of a CCD camera and a linear encoder in order to account for the possibility of slippage between specimen and the grip and to ensure the accuracy of the measurement, while load has been measured with a load cell. To satisfy the required material properties for stamping, optimal annealing condition has been found by examining the microstructure of annealed specimen.

Optimization Design of Stainless Steel Stamping Multistage Pump Based on Orthogonal Test

  • Stainless steel stamping multistage pump has become the mainstream of civil multi-stage pump. Combined with the technological features of stamping and welding pump, the studies of design for hydraulic parts of pump were come out. An $L_{18}$$3^7$)orthogonal experiment was designed with seven factors and three values including blade inlet angle, impeller outer diameter, guide vane blade number, etc. 18 plans were designed. The two stage of whole flow field on stainless steel stamping multistage pump at design point for design was simulated by CFD. According to the test result and optimization design with experimental research, the trends of main parameters which affect hydraulic performance were got. After being manufactured and tested, the efficiency of the optimal model pump reaches 61.36% and the single head is more than 4.8 m. Compared with the standard efficiency of 53%, the design of the stainless steel stamping pump is successful. The result would be instructive to the design of Stainless steel stamping multistage pump designed by the impeller head maximum approach.

시간-주파수 분석에 의한 금형 마모 분석 (Stamping Tool Wearing Analysis by Time-Frequency Analysis)

  • This paper reports on the research which analyzes acoustic signals acquired in progressive compressing, hole blanking, and burr compacting process. An acoustic sensor was set on the bed of hydraulic press. Acoustic signal is generated from progressive stamping process. First the signal acquired from the unit process; compressing, blanking or compacting, is studied by Fourier Transform and Short Time Fourier Transform. The blanking process emitted ultrasonic signal with more than 20kHz, but the compressing and compacting processes emitted acoustic signals with lower than 10kHz. The combined signals periodically acquired right after the tool grinding were then analyzed. 70-80kHz signals appeared in time-frequency domain, but not in the frequency domain, the magnitude of which was related to the tool wear. Short Time Fourier Transform made up for the Fourier Transform in analyzing the emitted signal for stamping process in the ultrasonic domain.

  • 스탬핑 프로세서는 고생산성과 낮은 가격으로 인해 자동차 차제나 항공기 부품, 그리고 전자제품 등 다양한 장치에 널리 이용된다. 최근에 에너지 산업과 연관되어 연료전지 분리판, 열교환기 등에 사용되는 주름구조를 가지는 박판의 응용이 급속히 증가되고 있다. 그러나 복잡한 형상 때문에 주름구조물을 한번의 성형으로 만들기가 매우 어렵다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 다단성형공정을 이용하여 성형성을 향상시키는 방법을 제안하였다. 1 차 박판성형 후 열처리를 통하여 가공경화 부분을 제거하고 다시 성형하는 방법으로 복잡하고 실용성이 높은 박판구조물 제작이 가능하도록 하였다. 본 연구에서는 제안한 방법을 검증하기 위하여 판형 열교환기에 응용이 가능한 두께 $100{\mu}m$를 가지는 박판주름구조를 제작하고 공정변수를 연구하였다.

미분쇄 및 배전처리가 숙성카레분의 휘발성 향기성분의 변화에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Stamping and Roasting Treatments on Change of Volatile Flavor Components in Aged Curry Powder)

  • 미분쇄와 배전처리가 숙성카레분의 향기성분 변화에 미치는 영향을 검토하기 위하여 각각을 6개월간 숙성시킨 후 GC 및 GC-MS를 사용하여 향기성분을 분리, 동정하였다. 숙성카레분의 주요 휘발성 향기성분은 terpene계 탄화수소, terpene계 alcohle 화합물, 방향족 ether 화합물로서 숙성전과 커다란 차이는 없었으나 미 분쇄시간 15분까지는 처리시간이 증가할수록 peak의 면적이 증가하다가 20분 이후에는 급격히 감소하는 경향을 보였고, 배전처리의 경우는 $70^{\circ}C$까지는 peak의 면적이 증가하다가 그 이후에는 감소하는 경향을 보여 $70^{\circ}C$에서 20분간 배전처리 한 후 숙성시키는 것이 가장 효과적인 것으로 나타났다.

Viewing angle improvement of TN mode by HD layer inside LC cell and a compensation film

  • Holographic diffuser(HD) layer was demonstrated to be located inside LC cell for a transmissive LCD of TFT-array on Color Filter structure. Master pattern of this layer was generated by holographic method and this pattern was replicated by the stamping of the master pattern on UV resin. Combined with a compensation film, TN-mode LCD with this layer showed improved viewing angle characteristics, especially along the up-down direction.

판재성형 해석시 금형내의 공기거동 모델링 (Modeling the Behavior of Trapped Air in Die Cavity During Sheet Metal Forming)

  • During stamping processes, the air trapped between sheet metal and the die cavity can be highly compressed and ultimately reduce the shape accuracy of formed panels. To prevent this problem, vent holes and passages are sometimes drilled into the based on expert experience and know-how. CAE can be also used for analyzing the air behavior in die cavity during stamping process, incorporating both elasto-plastic behavior of sheet metal and the fluid dynamic behavior of air. This study presents sheet metal forming simulation combined simultaneously with simulation of air behavior in the die cavity. There are three approaches in modeling of air behavior. One is a simple assumption of the bulk modulus having a constant pressure depending on volume change. The next is the use of the ideal gas law having uniform pressure and temperature in air domain. The third is FPM (Finite point method) having non-uniform pressure in air domain. This approach enables direct coupling of mechanical behavior of solid sheet metal and the fluid behavior of air in sheet metal forming simulation, and its result provides the first-hand idea for the location, size and number of the vent holes. In this study, commercial software, PAM-$STAMP^{TM}$ and PAM-$SAFE^{TM}$, were used.

와류발생기의 충돌각과 루버각의 상호작용에 의한 열전달촉진 (Heat Transfer Enhancement by the Combined Effect of Louver Angle and Angle of Attack of Vertex Generator)

  • A numerical investigation of the performance of the plate heat exchanger with rectangular winglet is conducted to examine the combined effect of vortex generator and louver fins. Velocity and temperature fields and spanwise averaged Nu and friction factor are presented. Enhancement of heat transfer and flow loss penalty is evident. A Parametric study of three factors (Re, angle of attack and louver angle) with levels of 5 (Re= 300, 500, 700, 900, 1100), 4($\alpha=15^{\circ}, 30^{\circ}, 45^{\circ}, 90^{\circ},$), and 4($\beta=0^{\circ}, 15^{\circ}, 30^{\circ}, 45^{\circ}$), respectively, indicates the performance defined by the ratio of heat transfer enhancement to flow loss penalty shows monotonic behavior for each parameter alone but the interactions between parameters is found to be considerable effect on the performance of heat exchanger and should be considered in design. The effect of stamping is also examined.
