  • It is very necessary and important that color image language is given to each coloring to highten efficiency on applying color scheme. For that in this research, literature cited and survey are carried out to select languages on the Korean's color-image connected with color scheme at the same time, and I did my best to objectify the subjective color image through verifying related experts. As the result of research, I classified the color image into 14 categories; A. energy or dinamic, B. harmony, C. order, D. style and fashion, E. mystery, F. Practically, G. dignity, H, gorgeousness, I. the sense of sight, touch, taste, hearing, J, complexity, K. sexuality and growth, L. standard, M. static and lyricism, N, simplicity to promote user's usefulness. For the user's convenience on color plan, the work to propose odor scheme concided with the selected color-image languages is deferred till the follow-up research.

  • A 2 Gbit/s visible-light communication (VLC) scheme using time-frequency color-clustered (TFCC) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) based on blue, cyan, yellow, and red (BCYR) light-emitting diodes (LEDs) is presented. In the proposed scheme, BCYR LEDs are employed to form four different color clusters. Data transmission using the four color clusters is performed in MIMO, so that the scheme achieves a very high speed of data transmission. Moreover, the scheme employs the TFCC strategy to yield high performance in terms of bit error rate (BER). TFCC operates in such a way that the original data and the two delayed versions of the data are multiplied by orthogonal frequencies and then transmitted using a specific color of the BCYR LED. In the receiver, color filters are employed to detect the data transmitted from the desired cluster. Selection combining (SC) is also performed to yield a diversity effect within each color cluster, to further improve the performance. Performance evaluation demonstrates that the proposed TFCC MIMO VLC offers a data rate of 2 Gbit/s and a bit error rate of 4×10-5, at an Eb/No value of merely 3 dB.

  • A kindergarten requires an approach to meet the nature and sense of children who is main users. This study selected 33 private kindergartens which were located within a housing site development zone in Gwangju since the 1990's, had single use, and was constructed in the last five years. Also the image assessment according to types of color scheme was made. Then the factors which affected preference by type were analyzed and the basic of color scheme in a kindergarten classroom was provided. The following results were obtained. First, types of color scheme in a classroom included identity 12.1%, similarity 51.5%, and novelty 36.4% in harmony, but no contrast and achromatic color, Secondly, the assessment of preference according to each type was mostly positive. The highest preference was found in similarity harmony of warm color(e.g. YR, Y) and bright, clear, nice, and strong images were high in assessment. The lowest preference was found in identity harmony of cold color(e.g. GY). This color system had no clear image assessment, except manly or strong. In particular, warm color showed higher preference than cold color in similarity, novelty, and identity harmony. Thirdly, the factors affecting the preference of color scheme in a classroom most were ‘stable - unstable’, ‘clean - dirty’, ‘bright - dark’, ‘nice - not nice’, and ‘vital - dull’.

  • One of the main motivations of this research process is to develop an adaptable VR model whose color can be changed according to the emotional information of user. This paper addresses how to define color scheme and combine colors with harmony. The adaptable color of the VR model consists of three processes: emotional keyword identification, the color combination and the VR model adaptation processes. We have used the biorhythm to derive the emotional keyword which is used to find the color harmony scheme. The color harmony scheme provides information for the color combination of the VR model. Finally, we have obtained the VR model which color has been changed using the identified color schema.

  • This paper proposes a novel lossless coding scheme for Bayer color filter array (CFA) images which are generally used as internal data of color digital cameras having a single image sensor. The scheme employs a block-adaptive prediction method to exploit spatial and spectral correlations in local areas containing different color signals. In order to allow adaptive prediction suitable for the respective color signals, four kinds of linear predictors which correspond to 2 ${\times}$ 2 samples of Bayer CFA are simultaneously switched block-by-block. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme outperforms other state-of-the-art lossless coding schemes in terms of coding efficiency for Bayer CFA images.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of clothing cues (color, color scheme, structure) on impression formation by perceiver personality variable. The subjects were consisted of 77 male and 86 female undergraduate and graduate students. The experimental inventories for this study were a set of stimuli, a response scale, standardized MBTI. The stimuli were eighteen photographs and one extra photograph of a female wearing Korean dress, Chima and Jokori-varied in hue (cool, warm), color scheme (related schemes, con- trasting schemes) of the same silhouette. Results indicate that the most affecting perceiver's personality variables on impression effects were judging-perceiving traits and extraversion -introversion traits. The interaction effects were most frequently appeared between color scheme (clothing cues) and perceiver's personality traits. The impression factors which were most affected by perceiver's personality traits variables were preference· evaluation factor and individuality· attention factor.

  • The main objective of this research was to understand the characteristics of complementary color scheme through the analysis of contemporary women's fashion color coordination as they appear in the 'Collections'. Data collection of 115 was done through review of 'pr$\hat{e}$t-$\grave{a}$-porter Collections' of four cities; Milan, London, New York, Paris. Statistical analysis of frequency and also qualitative interpretation of characteristics of complementary color harmony characteristics which appeared in four collections were completed. The main findings were as followed; (1) Only 115 complementary color schemes out of 4968 two color combinations appeared. Compared the comparative ratios of appearance frequency between the two color combination and the complementary color harmony, London showed the highest, and followed by New York, and Milan and Paris. (2)The combined color type of 'red+green' was the most frequently appeared, and followed by 'violet+yellow' and 'orange+blue'. For the type of tone harmony, the contrast tone showed the most, and followed by the similarity and identity. According to the type of complementary color combination, the type of tone harmony used differently. Some differences showed in the types of color harmony and tone harmony between collections. (3) The complementary color scheme which shown in four collections harmonized two opposite colors mainly through the strong tone contrast and this could cause tension along with interest in the image. The complementary colors intensified and brought out the attributes each other. More details, high contrast of two complementary colors of yellow and violet created a vibrant look especially when used at higher saturation. Sometimes, however, some tone variations of two hues neutralized the strong effect and sometimes enhanced each other. When they used in similarity tones or identity tones in light colors, the tension was reduced and became softened but still presented nice harmony. In the type of 'red+green' color harmony, the various color combinations were demonstrated, mostly through tone manipulation of green color. The similarity tone harmony, which used the most, could effect a better sense of harmony and present more sophisticated looks. When used in contrast tone harmony, some changes in its own color which have only one color of two the excessive intensity led a good harmony. The 'orange+blue' color harmony was shown the least and used three tone harmony almost the same ratio. In this color harmony, blue amplified its energy and brilliance of orange and seemed to work better when one color was at a lower intensity than the other. In harmony with a similarity and an identity tone, this color harmony produces a stable and calm image. (4) The complementary scheme appeared more frequently in the S/S collections than in A/W collections and showed some differences in the types of color harmony and tone harmony between seasons, however, no big differences between collections.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse and derive the color characteristics of childhood children's learning spaces and furniture for improving the color design of those and to present the direction of design and to build up the DB. The study covers products from domestic and overseas infant furniture manufacturers and 11 preschool learning rooms. The study method uses the collected furniture and spatial images to derive a palette of colors and compare color characteristics. The analysis results show that, the domestic infant furniture tend to use a variety of colors with pale tone or use consistent hard wood furniture according to the requirements of adult taste and marketability. Also, it attempts to create a very negative color scheme, but it looks like disorganized, and there is not much color design integrated with the architecture. Thus, color designs ensure that the ordering elements of the color scheme are clearly recognized by applying preferred color tones of childhood, like vivid and bright tone with high chroma and middle or hight Brightness value. Lastly, it should establish guidelines for specific palettes and color scheme, which can be utilized in the design of childhood children's learning spaces and furniture.
