In this study, we derive an evaluation structure and 18 Valuation vocabulary for the media facade lighting conditions. In addition, this study deduced the applicable elements that could be applied in time of building nightscape lighting design using media facade by conducting affective evaluation. The research results are as follows: It was found that the image axis of "Dynamic, Colorful" showed the lighting change speed was fast with diverse application of lighting color, and its evaluation object applied by general emphasis, vertical emphasis, partial emphasis lighting method was highly assessed. In addition, it was found that "Luxurious, Unusual" axis showed lighting change speed was slow with the application of lighting color in warm hue series, and its evaluation object applied by line lighting, dot lighting, general emphasis lighting methods was highly assessed. Lastly, it was found that "Soft, Secure" image axis showed the lighting change speed was slow with the application of pastel tone lighting color, and the evaluation object applied by general emphasis lighting method was highly assessed.

This paper proposes an image-dependent color image enhancement method that uses adaptive luminance enhancement and color emphasis. It effectively enhances details of low-light regions while maintaining well-balanced luminance and color information. To compare the structure similarity and naturalness, we used the tone mapped image quality index (TMQI). The proposed method maintained better structure similarity in the enhanced image than did the space-variant luminance map (SVLM) method or the adaptive and integrated neighborhood dependent approach for nonlinear enhancement (AINDANE). The proposed method required the smallest computation time among the three algorithms. The proposed method can be easily implemented using the field-programmable gate array (FPGA), with low hardware resources and with better performance in terms of similarity.

The purpose of this study is to set up the theoretical foundation for neon colors by recognizing them as important elements of sensitive design and by comprehending their existence as a color fashion responsive to psychological and social background. As the subject of the present the researcher has selected important oversea collections of these five years during which neon colors have fully emerged as popular colors of fashion. The procedure of research was to examine the concept and traits of colors and investigate the utility of neon colors in various fields. The important facts which are acquired from the present study are as follows. First, the analysis of frequency has found out the following color arrangements: neon color only-8.6%(35), neon color+colorless-58.3%(236), neon color+ colored -14.8%(60),neon color+colorless+colored-18.3%(74), and others. The case of neon color used as monochromatic (color) was distinguished into two: single neon color all through and the same color used differently. Color arrangements were divided into analogous arrangement, separation arrangement, dominant arrangement, multi-color arrangement, and accent arrangement. Second, the internal significance of neon colors expressed in fashion can be interpreted into three: emphasis, optical Illusion, and amusing. This study has attempted to raised up the aesthetic value of various color expression and to expand fashion image by interpreting the trends of color fashion together with the traits and aesthetic meaning of color in fashion. The future study intends to expand the expression area of fashion design and to interpret molding beauty through the image of color arrangement and through fashion style utilizing neon colors.

The purpose of this study was to analyze a theoretical frame of expressional area, the characteristics and the effects which is applied to fashion illustration by metonymic theory. The theoretical frame of expressional area was analyzed by category analysis and 150 fashion illustrations from 1900 to 1999 were analyzed by contents analysis. The results of this study were as follows: The expressions of metonymy were categorized by close-up, realistic expression, omission, borrowing of past style, simplification and deconstruction. First, close-up was presented as emphasis of small part of fashion by cutting the scenes, snapshot, emphasis, etc. Second, realistic expression was presented as description of related circumstance with fashion message through perspective and realistic description of circumstance related to figures. Third, omission was presented as seeking of essential core by removing color, pattern, texture or by omitting body and as emphasis of communication about dominant fashion message. Fourth, borrowing of past style was presented as reminding us of background of the past. Fifth, simplification was presented as using of form or color to alleviate tension of object and to restore the essential reality. Sixth, deconstruction was presented as fragmenting of image, flattening of body and clothing, weakness of form, and strength of color. In conclusion, metonymy made by experience system of thinking based on the reality, have extended expressional territory in pre-existing fashion illustration. And these ways not only will provide fashion image as illustrator's subjective intention and theoretical system of expression of message, but also will be useful way to strengthen communication for easier interpretation of fashion illustration.

Luis Barragan's Architecture has creative feature that Mexican environment and traditional culture were complete by color. Thus the color of his work makes our emotions rich and colorful. He said "My architecture is autobiographical..." at speech in Pritz price. As we can see in his architectural philosophy that sentimental architecture is important than theorical system, his works are impression of empirical factor with intuition. "Color is a complement to the architecture. It serve to enlarge or reduce a space. It's also useful for adding that touch of magic a place needs", stated Barragan. During his process of shaping space, Barragan drew on color in the same way as an architectural component, according it a spatial funtion and expressive vale. he allied it with light, deeming it a crucial vehical for conveying the emotive attributes a site. The capacity of color to express sensitivity and sensuality within an architecture space is liked to its psycho-physiological qualities. In this kind of view, color featyre in Barragan's work is one of the most important tools to realize sentimental architecture, not only is result of the Mexican regional color. As a result, make focus on analyzing various meaning of the color in Barragan's architecture like poetic and habitable structure.

We discuss main techniques to improve legibility of electroluminescent displays. Emphasis is placed on use of destructive optical interference to cancel ambient light reflected from the back electrode of the device. Basic optical principles and material composition of the optical interference contrast-enhancing stack (CES) are presented. We also describe the improved human factors of electroluminescent devices assisted with a CES. Achromatic contrast is the most important contributor to display's legibility. In some conditions color contrast may also be important. Contributing to both luminance and color contrast enhancement, the contrast-enhancing stack may play an important role in various display applications.

In this paper, we propose the modified display color control system using white point line, boundary lines and S-shaped curves to emphasize blue and red tone colors on CIE1931 diagram. The proposed system divides RGB gamut into movable area and non-movable area by using boundary lines. The colors in movable area are moved into right side or left side along quadratic curve to change the bluish (or reddish) color to more bluish (or more reddish), while those in non-movable area are excepted from color control to prevent skin color from changing. The loci of the quadratic curves are very similar to the arc of the white-point line which connects all points that represent the chromaticities of a black body radiator at different temperatures and is also called the black body locus. The RGB gamut extension by movement of chromaticity coordinate can improve color reproducibility. Therefore in the case of application to LCD, the display shows excellent performance because the LCD's color reproducibility is comparatively lower than that of other display systems. The proposed system is also experimentally demonstrated with Xilinx Virtex FPGA XCV2000E- 6BG560 and the TV set.

화질개선 시스템은 디스플레이 기술의 발달로 인한 사용자들의 요구사항을 만족시키기 위하여 많은 개발이 되어왔다. 대부분의 화질개선 시스템들은 모든 입력 색상에 대한 색도 변환을 수행하여 일부 색상에서 왜곡현상이 발생되는 문제점이 존재하였다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 피부색 보호 알고리즘(Skin Protection Algorithm, SPA)을 이용한 화질개선 시스템이 제안되었다. 하지만, 기존의 화질개선 시스템은 단방향으로 색상 강조를 수행함에 따라 색상의 포화 및 탈색현상을 방지할 수 없다는 단점이 존재하였다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 CIE 1976 u'v' 색도 좌표계에서 SPA를 적용한 색도 변환 시 입력 영상의 밝기 정보에 따라 적응적으로 색도 확장 및 축소를 동시에 수행 하도록 하였다. 42장의 테스트 영상으로 기존 시스템과의 RGB Gamut 변화율을 비교함으로써 제안한 화질개선 시스템의 성능을 확인하였다.

Organoleptic qualities were evaluated putting emphasis on flavor and color of white ginseng powders which were treated with ethylene oxide(EO) and gamma radiation(5, 10kGy) for microbial decontaminations. Immediately after treatments, there was no significant changes in the overall flavor and color of the samples between the nontreated control and both treatments. The color of even airtight-packaged samples, however, was changed(p<0.05) after 7 months of storage at 30$\pm$2$^{\circ}C$ when treated with EO and 10 kGy. These changes in color were confirmed by the instrumental determinations for the stored samples. Thus, it can be proposed that gamma Irradiation below 10kGy combined with airtight packaging is required for keeping the organoleptic quality of white ginseng powders for more than 6 months of storage.

This study researched the symbolic meaning of the costume colors in the independent film . The purpose of the study is to shed light on the relation between a film and the clothing color by exploring the symbolic meaning of costume colors as based on place images and as reflected in characters' internal psychological states and situations. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, the colors primarily presented were neutral shades of black and white or dark, almost-black tones, representing the negative narrative structure and depicting the image of a human being. Second, a series of bright blue shades were presented to reflect the positive narrative structure of a human being returning successfully to reality. Third, the application of color, involving both the psychological aspect as well as the symbolism of color, was effectively delivered to the audience. Fourth, the emphasis on color in the smallest details of costumes was analyzed, and it was found that symbolic color effectively communicated the whole image of transformation as the story progressed, clearly delivered delicate emotional messages, and contained symbolism relating to particular places and situations.
