Two lignanes, Comp.-I, mp 108-1$0^{\circ}C$ and Comp.-II, mp 50-52$^{\circ}C$ were isolated from Korean ginseng extract by repeated column chromatographic purification. Comp-1 was identified as gomisin-N and Comp. -II as gomisin-A by spectrometric analysis, both of which have already been described as the anti-hepatotoxic lignin components of Schizandra chinensis Bail.

Among the promising cancer therapy is targeting of the drug to tumor cells via receptor specific ligands. CR2945, $\beta$-2-( ［2-(8-azaspiro ［4.5］ dec-8-ylcarbony!)-4.6-dimethylphenyl］amino-2-oxoethyl］ -(R)-1-naphthalenepropanoic acid. is known to have an inhibitory effect on a gastrin receptor of colorectal cancer cells. As the human pancreatic cancer cells (BxPC-3) express gastrin receptors. interruption of binding of gastrin with gastrin receptor of human pancreatic cancer cells by CR2945 inhibits the growth of human pancreatic cancer cells. The influence of the adhesive force test conditions on the resultant adhesive force was measured using a chloroprene rubber as an adhesive and a plywood as an adherent. It was clarified from the experiments which adhesive force test conditions could influence strongly the adhesive force. After this, the constant values neccessary as the test conditions of the adhesive force in making generally a test of the adhesive force determined.

Lectin from mistletoe(Viscum coloratum) fermented by Lactobacillus plantarum for 1,2,3 days were obtained by salt fractionation, gel filtration, anion exchange chromatography and SDS-PAGE, and compared with the lectin from unfermented mistletoe. The new lectin of molecular weight of about 18,500D from fermented mistletoe was identified.

韓國 海産 깃히드라蟲類 (Plumulariidae)는 지금까지 13屬에 속하는 21種이 밝혀져 있다. 著者들은 韓國 海産 히드라蟲類의 系統分類學的 硏究의 一環으로서 1969년부터 1982년까지 鬱陵島, 釜山, 尾浦 그리고 西歸浦에서 採集된 깃히드라 蟲類를 同定한 결과 두種이 新種으로 判明되었으며 이들은 다음과 같다. Nemertesia polygeniculata sp. nov. and Halicornaria twista sp. nov. 이들의 完模式 標本들과 副模式 標本들은 李花女子大學敎 自然大 生物學科에 보관되어 있다.

Chronic adminstraction of morphine to adult male rats has long been known to lower hepatic cytochrome p-450 content and its dependent mixed-function oxidase activity. Following the treatment of adult male rats with morphine, pethidine pentazocine and codeine and also by concomitant adminstration of naloxone activities of microsomal electron transfer in the adult male rats were examined. In present study, the acute treatment of mature male rats with a dose of narcotic drugs higher than that used chronically also reduces their hepatic cytochrome p-450.

The study was to determine the effect of local anesthetics phonophoretic. Emla 5%(lidocaine+prilocaine) cream make use of medicines. Phonophoretic the application of a ultra sound(I group), application an ointment(II group). Forty college student between the age of man $22.85{\pm}3.31$ woman $21.05{\pm}2.12$, weight of man $70.70{\pm}9.43\;kg$ woman $50.65{\pm}5.13\;kg$, height of man $17.6{\pm}5.43\;cm$ woman $161.20{\pm}4.34\;cm$ were in this study. The results was as follows. There was statistical difference between I group($49.25{\pm}10.83$) and II group($58.90{\pm}10.83$) for the timing of local anesthetics(p<.05).

Objectives: The aim of this study is to differentiate women from men on breast diseases. Methods: We have searched antique books, texts and references of oriental obstetric & gynecology and checked into present conditions of oriental medicine hospitals in republic of Korea. Results: In physiological, pathological and epidemiological viewpoint of both oriental and western medicine, it was accepted that women were different with men on breast disease. Among references published in the Journal of Oriental Obstetrics and Gynecology from 1987, the number of references concerned breast disease was fifty divided into 29 original articles(58%) in types and 26 breast cancer(52%), 13 postpartum lactation(26%) in categorizations. and woman's breast disease and cancer taken charge on oriental obstetrics and gynecology in oriental medicine hospitals were 25(86%) and 19(66%) respectively. Conclusions: We could not realize that woman's breast disease already were accepted woman's particularity in various aspects until conducting our study. Accordingly, it is suggested that more researches would be conducted on the needs of female patients with breast disease through questionnaire or research and on the association reproductive factor and breast disease of women.
