The facilities of exhibition and collection for cultural properties is affected by environmental pollution. In order to accumulate a store of basic data, we was investigated eight points(three points at exhibition room and five points at collection room) at four institutes, from December 2000 to March 2001.As a result of investigation, the temperature of A-Exhibition room measured low because of don’t moved HVAC(Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning) System, B Exhibition room is dry for the effect of air-conditioner and the air pollutants concentration of C-Exhibition room is high for the kind of an exhibition room. The air-condition was varied within the open period. The air pollutants concentration of A-Collection room is measured high because the air-pollutants is generated in a new buildings and the air pollutants concentration of C-1 & C-2-Collection room is high for the kind of an collection room. It is necessary to ventilate sufficiently.
The purpose of this study is to suggest the design guidelines of exhibition space for conservation of collection in a museum. With the purpose of this study, examined the concept and a condition of conservation which is focused on deterioration in a exhibition space, investigated the actual condition of total 42 facilities and analyzed the specific instance which is excellent by factor of environment plan. Hereupon, the results of this study are as follows. First, exhibition space should be equipped with sufficient 'Filtering Space' before the outdoor and located central territory in a museum facility. Second, exhibition space should be partition off an area into the quality of collection, and then controlled by each of them. Third, in consideration of the annual air fluctuation of our country, the database which is adaptable for setting up the standard of temperature and RH must be prepared. Fourth, it is necessary to establish a 'Reference Exhibition Room' which is formed cellular type and a 'Garnering Exhibition Center'. Fifth, for the prevention of deterioration which is generated in exhibition space, the showcase must be high air-tight. Sixth, it is necessary to reduce a inside space of high air-tight showcase. Seventh, art-sorb is suitable for control the organic matter of collection and a except of fiber optics is not suitable for lighting of showcase. Eighth, wall-type showcase should be have air-chamber which is formed like museum storage and run over 8 hours a day.
This study is a plan for the Jeju Sanghyo Botanical Garden construction, and it is prepared to maintain the identity of the local landscape by composing the garden using the local landscape resources. The goals of becoming one of world's best, garden centered botanical garden and at the same time one that represents culture of Jeju. Unusual species are included in the collection and with the general collection, special collection and exhibition by different kinds are planned to be offered to the public. The garden will demonstrate the world's various types of gardens in a compressed way. It is our endeavor to become center of culture beyond plant education and exhibition, drawing a large number of people to our garden. Moreover, conservation of Jeju's unique botanic resources will be carried out and the garden will show the garden culture. Due to the size of the site, different themes will be exhibited in one zone in a parallel. Unique combination of each local landscape resource will create own theme. The display will be divided into three different stages: the 1st stage is an educational exhibition, assisting more understanding of distinguishing different locations, the second is exhibition by various species and the final stage will show an ideal way to develop a garden with harmony of various plant species.
The present thesis is on a construction of the system which supports exhibition evaluation of curators, which automatically collects, keeps, and totalizes objective data on visitor behavior in museums, and which comprehensively displays the results by tables and graphs. The system is composed by access points and mobile exhibition exposition devices in the museum operating together. Obtainable visitor information include a user number, an average staying period, contents use hour, and exhibition viewing frequency. Prototype experiment at museums shows that the system is effective in efficient data collection and exhibition evaluation and is expected to become an information collecting tool for visitor research and an exhibition evaluation tool for exhibition improvement.

This paper examines the traditional house building components through Wenzhou Longwan district traditional residential architectural components exhibition. We found that the exhibition of architectural components of residential buildings has its own characteristics, and the collection, cleaning and organization of the components require a lot of manpower and material resources. This exhibition is based on social hotspots, and the exhibition was curated with flexible use of exhibition halls and content arrangement, allowing the audience to enter into "immersive" nostalgic memories through the experience of being present. In the wave of urban construction and development, the preservation of traditional residential buildings and their components is to inherit the local architectural culture and show the local natural and humanistic spirit.
A museum represents a country's history, culture and life. With the development of science and technology, museum is no longer simply a space that concentrates on display and management of the collection but a space for education that visitors can directly experience and feel interest. The purpose of the present study is firstly through theoretical approach and research to grasp the status quo of the exhibition of the National First Level museums located in Beijing, which is the capital city of the People's Republic of China. Secondly, by analyzing the themes of exhibition and the exhibition presentation methods, it is aimed at finding out the problems of the status of museums in China so as to seek the requirements and the direction of improvements. Through this research, it is confirmed that in order to induce more active exhibition participation, the museums should expand the number of direct experience style exhibition presentation methods. Also, the museums in China need technical introduction of new cutting-edge exhibition medium so as to meet emotional demands of spectators and make the most ideal experience environment. Furthermore, it is confirmed that the development of new exhibition themes and the improvement of the museums in aspect of management and operation are necessary.
The museum starts from drawing many visitors by opening remarkable exhibitions, and finally aims to realize the social and educational value. However artifacts on exhibition have antithetic conditions like limitation of collection, problems of preservation, etc. Already the museum exhibited paintings and fine arts reproduced with complete fidelity, so artistic artifacts have meet the aims of exhibition. we would like to make an alternative proposal about costume relics in this way. Costume relics need to reproduce in two ways. The one way is to reproduce with complete fidelity and the other way is to restore the original form. The reproduction and restoration need a concrete survey, historical research, textile like artifacts. Furthermore it is important to reconstruct breakage and discoloration. Permanent exhibition consisted of reproductions helps appreciating as well as protecting artifacts, so exhibition effect will be enhanced.
The Wallace Collection in London (one of the national museums in the UK) has a gallery dedicated to conservation related displays. As well as permanent displays on the manufacturing techniques and materials of artifacts, there is a specially designed space for temporary conservation exhibitions. Through the example of the current conservation exhibition at the Wallace Collection and similar exhibitions and displays from other museums in the UK, this paper will study how the relationship and communication between the conservation profession and the general public have changed, from conservation as a behind-the-scenes and little-known activity to a closer interaction with the public and as a direct educational tool. The general function of a museum can be seen to have evolved from providing passive information to its visitors to offering more active and various forms of education. Conservation has developed with this change towards more awareness of the profession and its role in the preservation of cultural heritage through public outreach programs and displays.
Since a private museums started in Europe 17C, many private museums established for high-class people like aristocrats to collect and to keep art works and to appreciate for limited members. After the French Revolution in 18C, the publicity became an important social issue through all European regions, and the museum gradually changed into public ones. Like that, as the concept of museum changed, its social role as well as its function was also changed. The concept of collection and display or preservation changed into the concept of exhibition and appreciation featuring the publicity. With the year-round exhibition, a classical concept, the planned-exhibition, a new active concept set as an important factor for a museum's projects. The latter concept embraces new social issues. Therefore as the space for planned-exhibitions reflecting social issues every season was needed, a museum sets its planned-exhibition space with the changeability, and gradually expands this kind of space in size. It is expected that planned-exhibition spaces characterized as the changeability may give some changes on the flow of a museum's overall space, and may have substantial influences on the flow. To recognize the changes in a planned-exhibition space's influence on the museum, this study selected some national, public museums having the planned-exhibition space, and investigated their influences on each museum's overall space structure through the analysis on space syntax. This study assumed the change of planned-exhibition space as the changes in the number of convex spaces, and measured it. And to understand the planned-exhibition's changes on a museum's overall spaces, such changed assumed as the numeric changes in convex spaces and measured them. In addition, the numeric changes's influence on the overall space structure was analyzed by measuring the overall space's average integration level. Through the above two factors, the 3 research methodologies and analyzed results were drawn out.

For many years art libraries have been concerned about the problem resulting from the addition of exhibition catalogs to general art collection. Those who work or research in the art field agree that exhibition catalogs are great value, and in many cases, the essays and documentary material contained in these catalogs may be the only source of information on particular artists. This paper contains two purposes. One is to settle the exhibition catalog as a specific form of publication in the library. In theoretical aspect, this material is handled in definition, form, historical development and the position and specification. Another is to manage exhibition catalog in the library. In practical aspect, this material is handled in aquisition, classification, cataloging and use.
