  • The hot water extraction(HWE) has many problems such as a low extract yield and a reduced flagrance by excessive heating during concentration process notwithstanding it has been the general method to get the extract from the traditional chinese medicines Astragalas manbranaceus Bunge and Angelica gigas Nakai. For that reason, adopted the alcohol extraction In this research and got the good results of the 65% and 75% extract yield of Astragalas manbranaceus Bunge and Angelica gigas Nakai respectively, 15% and 36% increased compare with 50% and 39% (w/w) of HWE. The differences of extraction process between the HWE and alcohol extraction is substituting alcohol for water of extraction were concentrated at the relatively low temperature 90$\^{C}$ compare with the thermal extraction temperature 104$\^{C}$ . This alcohol extract, has the outstanding effect collecting the original fragrance at the low temperature. Applying this extract to starch syrup and beverage, expected that those contain a sufficient flavor as well as fragrance without artificial spices.

  • This paper investigates the issue of performance testing on web browsing environments. Among the typical non-functional characteristics, index of link validity will be deeply explored. A framework to certify link correctness in web site is proposed. All possible navigation paths are first formulated to represent a usage model with the Markov chain property, which is then used to generate test script file statistically. With collecting any existing failure information followed by tracing these testing browsed paths, certification analysis may be performed by applying Markov chain theory. The certification result will yield some significant information such as: test coverage, reliability measure, confidence interval, etc. The proposed mechanism may provide not only completed but also systemic methodologies to find any linking errors and other web technologies errors. Besides, an actual practice of the proposed approach to a web-based system will be demonstrated quantitatively through a certification tool.

  • In this study, the correlation between the rheolog y parameter of fresh concrete and the rheology parameter of wet sieving mortar was analyzed for analyzing to possibility predicting the rheology parameter of fresh concrete. Through the experiment, the dynamic yield stress and plastic viscosity of concrete and wet sieving mortar show a direct proportional relationship, and the two data had a correlation. Therefore, it is thought that it is possible to predict the rheology parameter of fresh concrete through the rheology parameter of wet sieving mortar. However, in order to more accurately predict the rheology parameter of fresh concrete, it is need additional relationship analysis by collecting more rheology parameter data of fresh concrete and wet sieving mortar.

  • The buffer capacity of food waste lowers during the collecting and transportation period. Food waste usually shows deficiency of micro nutrients especially molybdenum(Mo) and cobalt(Co). Therefore, food waste can be considered as a good mixture of livestock waste to enhance methane production. The objective of this study was to investigate the correlation between properties of substrates (local food waste and livestock manure) and methane yields for successive anaerobic fermentation process and its stable management. Food wastes were taken at an intermediate storage or treatment system provided by eight local authorities (Gangnam, Gangdong, Gwanak, Guro, Dongjak, Songpa, Yeongdeungpo, and Younsan) in Seoul. The solid content and potential methane yield of food wastes were average of 16% and $446.6STP-m{\ell}/g-VS$ (range from 334.8 to $567.5STP-m{\ell}/g-VS$) respectively. As for the beef cattle manure, the solid content and potential methane yield had an average of 26% and $280.6STP-m{\ell}/g-VS$ respectively. Potential methane yield had a positive correlation with fat content, and hydrogen content and a negative correlation with carbohydrate content ($r^2>0.8$). Therefore, the potential methane yield can be predicted based on the substrate characterization results with reasonable accuracy. Further research may be needed to investigate the relation of the properties of the mixture substrate and methane production rate. The mixtures may include food waste, livestock waste, and bulking agents (saw dust, rice hull, or agricultural byproducts etc.) to determine best combination of these substrates for maximum methane production rate.

  • To improve the efficiency of in vitro production of embryos with follicular oocytes in Korean Native cows, the recovery rates, in vitro maturation, fertilization and development, and the time required for collecting and processing oocytes by aspiration with or without slicing were evaluated comparatively. The ovaries were obtained from a local abattoir and placed in physiological saline at 25~28$^{\circ}C$ and brought to the laboratory within 3 hrs. The oocytes were collected by aspiration of follicles(2~6mm) with or without slicing ovaries after aspiration, and classified into Grade I, Grade II, Denuded, Expanded oocytes by the morphology of cumulus cells attached and the homogeneity of cytoplasmic granules. Also the time required for each step of collecting and processing oocytes were measured. The cumulus cells were removed in some Grade I oocytes to measure their size and nuclear configuration before and after in vitro maturation. The Grade I oocytes were matured in vitro(IVM) for 24 hrs. in TGM-199 supplemented with 35$\mu$g /ml FSH, 10$\mu$g /ml LH, 1 $\mu$g /ml at 39$^{\circ}C$ under 5% C02 in air. They were fertilized in vitro(IVF) by epididymal spermatozoa treated with heparin for 24hrs. and then the zygotes were cocultured in vitro (IVC) with bovine oviductal epithelial cells for 10 days. The results obtained were as follows: The number of oocytes recovered per ovary was averaged 6.6 by aspiration and 11.2 by slicing post aspiration, which summed to 17.8. The number of Grade I oocytes recovered per ovary was averaged 3.1 by aspiration and 3.6 by slicing, which summed to 6.7. The percentage of Grade I to total oocytes recovered was significantly(P<0.05) higher as 48.0 % in aspiration than 31.6% in slicing post aspiration. The time requlred for recovering a Grade I oocyte by aspiration and slicing was 1.1 and 2.5 min, respectively. The mean diameter of Grade I oocytes by aspiration and slicing was similar as 148.7 and 151.5$\mu$m, respectively. The percentage of Metaphase II stage oocytes after IVM for 24 hours was significantly (P

  • The objective of this study was conducted to calculate the damage of whole crop maize in accordance with abnormal climate using the forage yield prediction model through machine learning. The forage yield prediction model was developed through 8 machine learning by processing after collecting whole crop maize and climate data, and the experimental area was selected as Gyeonggi-do. The forage yield prediction model was developed using the DeepCrossing (R2=0.5442, RMSE=0.1769) technique of the highest accuracy among machine learning techniques. The damage was calculated as the difference between the predicted dry matter yield of normal and abnormal climate. In normal climate, the predicted dry matter yield varies depending on the region, it was found in the range of 15,003~17,517 kg/ha. In abnormal temperature, precipitation, and wind speed, the predicted dry matter yield differed according to region and abnormal climate level, and ranged from 14,947 to 17,571, 14,986 to 17,525, and 14,920 to 17,557 kg/ha, respectively. In abnormal temperature, precipitation, and wind speed, the damage was in the range of -68 to 89 kg/ha, -17 to 17 kg/ha, and -112 to 121 kg/ha, respectively, which could not be judged as damage. In order to accurately calculate the damage of whole crop maize need to increase the number of abnormal climate data used in the forage yield prediction model.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects which applies teaching program that search solution to prevent global warming in middle school gifted class. This program of total 10 class was theoretical and experimental class and the students presented after collecting the synthetic data about climate-change and roleplayed what they debated to firm their country's opinion about Kyoto Protocol. Finally, students as policymaker made mock Kyoto Protocol by discussion. Impression papers and images about climate-changes was made by students in last class. In discussion of making up mock Kyoto Protocol, developed and developing nations had an argument about carbon dioxide emissions because of their economic benefits. In the course of allocating mutual $CO_2$ reduction, they needed yield and negotiation among nations. Although they mainly took passive position about $CO_2$ reduction, atmosphere that all the country make greater effort for the future global environment was formed. Like this, students had more concepts over climate change by making mock Kyoto Protocol. And they could equipped global scientific literacy and responsibility by participating in social decision making process of solving global environmental issues.

  • Generative adversarial networks(GANs) have received great attention in the machine learning field for their capacity to model high-dimensional and complex data distribution implicitly and generate new data samples from the model distribution. This paper investigates the model training methodology, architecture, and various applications of generative adversarial networks. Experimental evaluation is also conducted for generating synthetic image dataset for defense using two types of GANs. The first one is for military image generation utilizing the deep convolutional generative adversarial networks(DCGAN). The other is for visible-to-infrared image translation utilizing the cycle-consistent generative adversarial networks(CycleGAN). Each model can yield a great diversity of high-fidelity synthetic images compared to training ones. This result opens up the possibility of using inexpensive synthetic images for training neural networks while avoiding the enormous expense of collecting large amounts of hand-annotated real dataset.
