공동연구 네트워크 분석을 위한 중심성 지수에 대한 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on the Centrality Measures for Analyzing Research Collaboration Networks)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 공동연구 네트워크에서 연구자의 영향력과 입지를 분석하는데 사용되는 중심성 지수들의 특징에 대해서 고찰하는 것이다. 전통적인 이진 네트워크 중심성 지수로는 연결정도중심성, 매개중심성, 근접중심성, 페이지랭크를 다루었고, 공동연구 네트워크에서의 중심성을 측정하기 위해서 개발되었거나 사용된 가중 네트워크 중심성 지수로는 삼각매개중심성, 평균연관성, 가중페이지랭크, 공동연구 h-지수와 공동연구 hs-지수, 복합연결정도중심성, c-지수에 대해서 살펴보았으며, 새로운 지수로 제곱근합 지수 SSR을 제안하였다. 이들 12종의 중심성 지수를 건축학, 문헌정보학, 마케팅 분야의 세 가지 공동연구 네트워크에 적용해본 결과 각 지수들의 특성과 지수 간 관계를 파악할 수 있었다. 분석 결과 공동연구 네트워크에서 공동연구 범위와 공동연구 강도를 모두 고려하기 위해서는 가중 네트워크 중심성 지수를 사용해야 하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 공동연구 범위와 강도를 모두 고려하는 전역중심성을 측정하기 위해서는 삼각매개중심성 지수를 사용하고, 지역중심성을 측정하기 위해서는 SSR 지수를 사용하는 것이 바람직하다고 제안하였다.

정신의학 분야 국제공동연구의 지식구조 네트워크에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Knowledge Structure Networks of International Collaboration in Psychiatry)

  • 이 연구는 한국의 정신의학 국제공동연구 협력망 구축을 위하여, 네트워크 분석에 중점을 두어 정신의학 국제공동연구의 공저관계를 반영하는 지식구조를 규명하였다. 먼저 국가 레벨에서의 지식구조 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 5년 간 공동연구 비율은 89.97%로 높은 편이며, 시간의 경과에 따라 국제공동연구의 비율은 증가함을 확인하였다. 둘째, 아시아 국가들 간의 협업은 저조한 상태임을 확인하였다. 셋째, 국제공동연구 논문 수 및 중심성 값이 가장 높은 국가(또는 집단)는 EU-28로 확인되었다. 또한 연구성과 레벨에서의 지식구조 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 중심성과 연구성과와의 상관관계를 분석하였으며, 분석 결과 세 가지 중심성 지표간에는 정적 상관관계가 나타났고 중심성이 높은 국가는 연구성과도 좋았다.

  • 전 세계적으로 공동연구의 중요성이 커짐에 따라 공동연구 현황을 파악하고자 하는 요구가 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 한국전자통신학회 논문지를 통해서 나타나는 공동연구 네트워크가 어떤 구조를 보이는지 규명하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이 목적을 위해 본 연구는 2006년부터 2013년 2월까지 한국전자통신학회지에 게재된 공동연구 논문을 분석한다. 한국전자통신학회 논문지에 게재된 논문의 저자들을 12개의 서브 네트워크로 구성하여 분석한 결과, 서브 네트워크는 주로 지역성에 기반한 공동연구 네트워크임을 밝혀내었다.

공급사슬과 성과에 대한 협업의 매개효과에 관한 연구: 이동통신산업의 구매사-공급사를 중심으로 (The Mediation Effect of Collaboration on Supply Chain Performance: Mobile Networks Industry in Korea)

  • In supply chains, collaboration between buyer and supplier can improve firms' ability of supply chains to their objectives and competitive advantages. A key factor in collaboration in supply chain is to identify buyer relationships and supply relationships as antecedents of the factor collaboration. We analyzed data collected from buyers and suppliers sampled from a mobile networks industry in Korea and found that the level of collaboration comes from strong relationships between two parties and the collaboration enhances the supply chain performances. However, buyer relationships and supplier relationships have indirect impacts on trading partners' performance through collaboration whereas both have direct impacts on one's performance. Therefore to enhance supply chain performances, supplier's operational efficiency and buyer satisfaction, firms of buyers and suppliers should consider pursuing practical and substantial collaboration along with buyer-supplier relationships.

기업 간 협업 네트워크의 창발 : 관계 역량을 중심으로 (Emergence of Inter-organizational Collaboration Networks : Relational Capability Perspective)

  • This paper proposes relational capability as a main driver of constructing inter-organizational collaboration networks. Based on social network theory and relational view literature, three components of relational capability are constructed and implemented by an agent-based model. The components include organizational capability, structural capability, and trust between a partner and a focal firm. These three components are updated by two micro mechanisms: structural mechanism and relational mechanism. Structural mechanism is a feedback loop in which the relational capability increases structural capability and vice versa. Relational mechanism is a learning-by-doing process in which a focal firm experiences success or failure of collaboration and the experience increases or decreases cumulative trust in a partner firm. Result of agent-based simulation shows that a collaboration network emerges through interactions of firm's relational capabilities and the characteristics of emerged networks vary with the contribution of structural capability and trust to relational capability. Specifically, in case structural capability contributes more to relational capability, the average degree centrality and collaboration proportion increases as time passes and enters into an equilibrium state. In that case, almost every firms participated in the network collaborates each other so that the emerged network becomes highly cohesive. In case trust contributes more to relational capability, the results are reversed. In an equilibrium state, the balance of contribution between structural capability and trust makes an emerged network larger and maximizes average degree centrality of the network.

The Bright and Dark Side of Pre-existing Social Ties and Relational Orientation in Research Collaborations in South Korea

  • Informal networks between individuals are widely seen as important in East Asian business systems. However, while the performance implications of guanxi in China have been extensively studied, much less is known on how informal networks may influence business outcomes in other East Asian countries. We examine informal networks in inter-organizational research collaborations in South Korea by studying the role of pre-existing social ties and relational orientation in new product development (NPD) collaborations and university-industry research (UIR) collaborations. We conduct an interview-based, in-depth case analysis of five NPD collaborations and five UIR collaborations. Pre-existing social ties and relational orientation are prevalent in both types of research collaborations. However, they have different consequences for collaboration outcomes. Pre-existing social ties strongly vary in their types and strength, and negatively affect collaboration outcomes unless they result in the selection of competent and motivated partners. Relational orientation manifests itself in a task-related and social exchange between collaboration partners, which contributes to outcomes such as knowledge acquisition and business performance. Korean collaboration managers should rely only on pre-existing social ties that are well-aligned with task-related requirements when initiating and conducting research collaborations. However, the creation of strong relationships between collaboration team members of partnering organizations should be encouraged.

  • In a rapidly changing business environment, the improvement of managerial techniques through IT utilization brings about remarkable increases in profitability and redesign of work process for better performances. IT innovation by electronic instruments such as ICT e-business provides accelerates forming inter-organizational information network and helps them benchmark the best practices of advanced organizations. A new shift of paradigm by e-business across all enterprises has turned the traditional aspects of inter-organizational competition and relationship into a form of collaboration. Collaboration enables business activities in parallel position among companies and facilitates cooperation between partner enterprises. Lately, the concept of 'Synchronization' is emerging beyond dimension of cooperation between networks, and the most concepts related to it are converging into 'Collaboration Networks'. This research observes a virtual organization as a form of collaborative networks, and measures the degree of virtualization of Korean collaborative organizations.

구매자-공급자간의 상호신뢰가 협업과 공급사슬 성과에 미치는 영향 : 이동통신산업을 중심으로 (The Effect of Trust between Buyer-Supplier Relationship on Collaboration and Supply Chain Performance : Networks Industry in Korea)

  • Through collaboration between buyers and suppliers, their companies try to achieve their own objectives and competitive advantages. And it is known that trust between them also would influence the effects of collaboration, which would increase their performances. In this study, above three domains of constructs : trust, collaborative behavior, performance are handled. From gathering data about a mobile networks industry and building a research model, we acquire the results of the study. Through nine hypotheses, the study show the results. The end of this paper describes managerial implications for collaborative performance and SCM strategy.

지역사회 기관 간 금연사업 네트워크 모델: 블록모델링을 중심으로 (Interorganizational Networks for Smoking Prevention and Cessation: A Blockmodeling Approach)

  • Purpose: This study examined characteristics and patterns of interorganizational networks for smoking prevention and cessation in Korea. Methods: We surveyed two community health centers, ninety-five hospitals or clinics, ninety- two pharmacies, and sixty-five health welfare organizations in two districts of Seoul in 2020. Data on the organizations' characteristics of smoking cessation and interorganizational activities for information sharing, client referral, and program collaboration were collected and analyzed using network statistics and blockmodeling. Results: Network size was in the order of information sharing, client referral, and program collaboration networks. Network patterns for interorganizational activities on information sharing, client referral, and program collaboration among four organizations were similar between the two districts. Community health centers provided information and received clients from a majority of the organizations. Their interactions were not unidirectional but mutual with other organizations. Pharmacies were involved in information sharing with health welfare organizations and client referrals to hospitals or clinics. Health welfare organizations were primarily connected with the community health centers for client referrals and program collaboration. Conclusion: A community health center is the lead agency in interorganizational activities for smoking prevention and cessation. However, hospitals or clinics, pharmacies, and health welfare organizations also participate in interorganizational networks for smoking prevention and cessation with diverse roles. This study would be evidence for developing future interorganizational networks for smoking prevention and cessation.

진료 협업 네트워크 특성에 대한 탐색: 서울 소재 A 대학병원 중심으로 (Exploring Treatment Collaboration Network Characteristics: Focusing on 'A' University Hospital in Seoul)

  • 오늘날 다양한 질병의 출현과 빠르게 변화하는 의료환경에 보다 효과적으로 대처하기 위해 대학병원 내에서 여러 진료과들이 협업진료를 수행하고 있다. 이러한 협업진료는 매우 중요하며 의료 현장에서 이미 보편화되어 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 이에 대한 연구, 특히 진료과들이 어떻게 협업을 하고 있는지에 대한 연구는 전무하다. 따라서 본 연구는 대학병원 내의 진료과 간의 협업진료 관계를 탐색하여 진료협업 네트워크 특성들이 연도별 및 계절별로 어떻게 달라지는지를 고찰하는 것에 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 국내 A대학교 대학병원에서 이루어진 29개 진료과 사이의 협업 진료를 연도별 및 계절별로 나누어 29개 진료과 협업 네트워크를 분석하였다. 협업진료의 요청 및 피요청에 따라 방향네트워크를 구성하였으며, 매개중심성, 아이겐벡터중심성, 근접중심성 분석, 에고 네트워크 분석 및 팩션분석과 더불어 추후 인터뷰도 실시하였다. 본 연구는 최초의 진료과 간의 협업 네트워크 분석을 수행하였으며, 의료기관 내에서의 동선을 고려한 진료과의 위치 및 공간 구성에 새로운 통찰력을 제시할 것으로 기대된다.
