SAW(Submerged Arc Welding) process is generally applied to a wide range of welding area in the fabrication of steel structure. This process has a good characteristic properties such as the high quality of welds and the high deposition rates, but in case of welding on a thick steel plate, it also has higher cold crack susceptibility than that of a thin steel plate. The purpose of this research is to find the main factor of crack generation and clarify the countermeasure for crack prevention, and then establish the optimum welding condition in a heavy thick steel plate. The results of this study are as follows, 1. The cause of crack generation is found the diffusible hydrogen penetrated into weld metal by decomposition of the remained moisture in SAW flux during welding. 2. For the removal of diffusible hydrogen, the raw materials of SAW flux are to be dehydrated at the high temperature in the initial manufacturing stage. 3. Mechanical properties of weld metal welded with the dehydrated SAW flux were evaluated very excellent, furthermore the weld metal has been proved to have low diffusible hydrogen content with 3.1ml /100g. 4. The weldability and quality welded with thick steel plates were improved by establishing the new optimum welding condition.

Recently, the customer's demands for automotive steel sheet have been diversified and sterned more. Therefore, as the tendency of auto industry light-weight, one among these requirements is the trend for high strength together with the thinness of automotive steel sheet. Because Mn added essentially in producing high strength steel sheet is bonded strongly with oxygen, the Fine oxidation layer was created at the welding face after the flash butt welding operated in entry section of pickling line. Thereby it was caused the crack or breakage of welding part in process of cold rolling. At this research, in order to protect the contact Mn with oxygen in atomosphere it was considered to fire oxygen with LNG and the related researches have been gone forward with the find out concrete and to apply them to operation.
A one-dimensional thermal-hydraulic analysis computer program is developed for thermal sizing of a copper bonded steam generator. It is assumed that the conduction heat transfer of copper region between the hot side and the cold side tube is one-dimensional and its thermal resistance is derived as a function of a tube pitch. The flow regions of the water/steam side are divided into four regions: subcooled, saturated, film boiling, and super-heated. The number of tube selected ranges from 250 to 3500 and the pitch to tube diameter (P/D) ratios are 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8 for the parametric study calculation. The calculation results showed that when the number of tube was 2500, the length of the heating tube was about 12 m and the outside diameter of the steam generator was about 3 m. If the P/D ratio increases, the thermal resistance of copper component also increases, however the length of the heating tube is not so much increased.
Statement of problem. Adhesives in dentistry playa major role in the success of restorative treatments. In the treatment of all ceramic restoration it is needed to find the adequate bond strength between enamel and dentin. Purpose. The purpose of this study was to evaluate shear bond strength of resin cement bonded to extracted human uncut enamel, cut enamel, and dentin in vitro. Material and methods. Ten freshly extracted anterior teeth without any previous restorative treatments were chosen. The extracted teeth were embedded in PMMA cold acrylic in the shape of a cylinder, 25 mm in diameter by 25 mm in height. The bonding system used was as follow: Uni-Etch (32% phosphoric acid), One-Step adhesive, Duolink resin cement. The specimens were acid etched and rinsed with water. Two layers of One-Step adhesive were coated with a disposable brush on the uncut enamel. VIP curing light at $500mV/cm^2$ was used to cure the adhesive. For cut enamel shear bond test, the specimen used for uncut enamel was further reduced approximately $0.3{\sim}0.5mm$ using a laminate preparation diamond bur (0.3 mm in depth). The specimens were subsequently treated with 320-grit SiC paper followed by 600-grit SiC paper and cleaned with distilled water. The bonding procedure on the cut enamel was same as uncut enamel bonding procedure. For dentin bonding test, the specimen used for cut enamel was further reduced approximately $0.5mm{\sim}1.0mm$ using a laminate preparation diamond bur (0.5 mm in depth of diamond cutting). The amount of reduction was evaluated with the silicone mold. The specimens were subsequently treated with 320-grit SiC paper followed by 600-grit silicon carbon paper and cleaned in distilled water. The bonding procedure on the dentin was same as uncut enamel bonding procedure. All samples were mounted and secured on the Ultradent shear bond test sample holder, and Ultradent restricted shear bond testing device was used with Universal Instron machine until fracture. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) test was performed comparing the result at P<0.05. Multiple comparison (Tukey) was used to compare each groups. Result. The result showed that the mean value in shear bond strength of resin cement bonded to uncut enamel, cut enamel and dentin were 27.04 Mpa, 30.25 Mpa and 26.39 Mpa with respect. Conclusion. Within the limitation of this study, the mean value of the shear bond strength of cut enamel was higher than those of uncut enamel or dentin. However there existed no statistical differences between three different human dentition substrates due to increased adhesive characteristics.

The aim of this research was to determine the physical and mechanical properties of glued laminated lumber (glulam) made from jabon (Anthocephalus cadamba) and pine (Pinus merkusii). Three layers of lamina from each wood species were bonded using isocyanate adhesive with a glue spread of $280g{\cdot}m^{-2}$ and then pressed using cold press with a specific pressure of 1.47 MPa. Samples had dimensions of $3cm{\times}6cm{\times}100cm$ (thickness, width, and length, respectively). Glulam properties were tested based on Japanese Agricultural Standard (JAS) 234-2003. The results showed that the density of glulam was $0.36g{\cdot}m^{-3}$ for jabon and $0.73g{\cdot}m^{-3}$ for pine. The moisture content of all glulams fulfilled the JAS standard. The mechanical properties of pine glulam fulfilled the JAS standard in all tests, whereas jabon glulam fulfilled the standard in the modulus of rupture and shear tests.
This research was carried out to examine the properties of fancy cherry veneer overlaid on the PF resin bonded Meranti plywood floor, which 2.5% green tea leaf powder was applied in the UV varnishes and the adhesives for scavenging the volatile organic compounds. The results were as follows: 1. The various properties of the treated samples, such as density, moisture content, thickness swelling, bending strength(MOR), adhesion shear strength, surface abrasion, curling, cyclic delamination test with boiling water, boiling property, cold-resistance and heat resistance, acid resistance and alkali resistance, and anti-contamination property showed no significant difference between the properties of the control samples. 2.5% green tea leaf powder treated floor gave a little better results than the control for surface scratch test. 2. In case of QUV and weathering test, no difference between the treated sample and control was found. 3. The floor was discolored by adding 10% green tea leaf powder to UV coating, and the floor was also discolored to light green during by the soaking test. The color of floor was not changed up to 5% addition level.
There is a potential usability of electric arc furnace(EAF) dust produced during the iron manufacturing process as a recycled resource, because valuable materials such as Zn, Pb and Fe are contained in it. In this study, metallic Zn was recycled from the fine electric arc furnace dust by a solid state reduction method using carbon at relatively low temperature. It was possible to recover metallic zinc by using of high vapour pressure of zinc with this reduction method. The feasibility of recycled zinc for cold bonded pellet(CBP) was investigated. The main composition of EAF dust were franklinite(ZnFe$_2$O$_4$), magnetite(Fe$_3$O$_4$) and zincite(ZnO), and Pb and Cl were completely removed by a heat treatment in oxidation environment. The reduction ratio increased as the solid carbon content increased, and it increased with decreasing of dust particle size and increasing of compaction pressure due to a increase of contact area.
This paper was focused to optimize hot extrusion condition of Mg machined chips and scraps as fundamental basic research for the recycle of Mg alloy. We have been performed to extrude at $300~380^{\circ}C$ temperature range under the extrusion ratio of 25:1 after cold-pressing AZ91 Mg machined chips and scraps. AZ91 Mg ingots was used as reference materials. Microstructure observation showed that the extruded machined chips were perfectly bonded and extruded materials became fine grain size($20\mu\textrm{m}$) by recrystallization during hot extrusion. The specimens extruded from the machined chips, scraps and Mg ingot indicated tensile strength of 330MPa and the elongation of 10% at room temperature.
This study aims to provide the present general state of basic data about refrigeration and freezing warehouses scold storages because basic data about refrigeration and freezing warehouses are insufficient and imperfect at the moment. Research contents include the present general state of cold storages such as sales amount, capital(money invested), storage possession state by type, keeping area, cold storage facility capacity, and facility state such as existence of rack, building structure and floor height, and possessed facility state. According to research results, it was found that 86.7% of refrigeration and freezing warehouses are located in the capital region and Busan region in terms of regional distribution, and the average keeping area was found to be bigger in these two regions than that of other regions. In addition, the research shows that more than 80% of companies possess bonded warehouses and there was no big difference in the size and capacity of refrigeration and freezing warehouses. Regarding building structure, most of them were found to be reinforced concrete. However, only 25% of companies installed racks, but there was no statistical significance between existence of rack and the amount of capital and sales. Possessed facilities were found in the order of freight elevator, information system and dock. When it comes to cargo gear, companies were found to possess 9.1 units of forklift and 2.2 units of reach stacker in average. This research is expected to lay a basis for investigating, predicting and developing the local cold storage industry, and more detailed studies will be needed in the future.

A structure of a glass electrode-type pH sensor for measuring any concentration of $H^+$ in an aqueous solution was embodied with bulk micromachining technology. Two open well structures were formed, and a reference electrode was secured by the Ag/AgCl thin film in the sloped side of the etched structure. A sensitive membrane of an indicator electrode for generating a potential by an exchange reaction to $H^+$ was made with a glass containing Na 20% or more finely so that its thickness might be $100{\mu}m$ or so, and then it was bonded to one pyramidal structure. A liquid junction for a current path was formed by filling an agar in the anisotropically etched part of the Si wafer, which had a size of $50{\mu}m{\times}50{\mu}m$, and then bonded it to the other. After complete fabrication of each part, it was filled with a 2M KCl reference solution and encapsulated the sensor structure with a cold expoxy. The potential value of fabricated pH sensor was about 90mV/pH in the standard pH solutions.
