Objective : To analyze the outcomes of coil embolization (CE) for unruptured intracranial aneurysm (UIA) according to region and hospital size based on National Health Insurance Service data in South Korea. Methods : The incidence of complications, including intracranial hemorrhage (ICRH) and cerebral infarction (CI), occurring within 3 months and the 1-year mortality rates in UIA patients who underwent CE in 2018 were analyzed. Hospitals were classified as tertiary referral general hospitals (TRGHs), general hospitals (GHs) or semigeneral hospitals (sGHs) according to their size, and the administrative districts of South Korea were divided into 15 regions. Results : In 2018, 8425 (TRGHs, 4438; GHs, 3617; sGHs, 370) CEs were performed for UIAs. Complications occurred in 5.69% of patients seen at TRGHs, 13.48% at GHs, and 20.45% at sGHs. The complication rate in TRGHs was significantly lower than that in GHs (p=0.039) or sGHs (p=0.005), and that in GHs was significantly lower than that in sGHs (p=0.030). The mortality rates in TRGHs, GHs, and sGHs were 0.81%, 2.16%, and 3.92%, respectively, with no significant difference. Despite no significant difference in the mortality rates, the complication rate significantly increased as the number of CE procedures per hospital decreased (p=0.001; rho=-0.635). Among the hospitals where more than 30 CEs were performed for UIAs, the incidence of CIs (p=0.096, rho=-0.205) and the mortality rates (3 months, p=0.048, rho=-0.243; 1 year, p=0.009, rho=-0.315) significantly decreased as the number of CEs that were performed increased and no significant difference in the incidence of post-CE ICRH was observed. Conclusion : The complication rate in patients who underwent CE for UIA increased as the hospital size and physicians' experience in conducting CEs decreased. We recommend nationwide quality control policies CEs for UIAs.

The electrical insulation design for a superconducting coil system is important for developing high voltage superconducting apparatuses. Also, the degraded characteristics of superconducting tapes due to an electrical breakdown should be considered for superconducting coils design. In this study, the degradation characteristics of 2G high temperature superconducting (HTS) tapes were studied with respect to electrical breakdown tests. The degradation tests of 2G HTS tapes were performed with various stabilizer materials. The degradation characteristics of 2G HTS tapes such as critical current(Ic) and index number were observed by performing electrical breakdown tests. It was found that the characteristics such as Ic and index number can be degraded by an electrical breakdown. Moreover, it was concluded that the degradation characteristics of 2G HTS tapes were affected by a stabilizer material and applied breakdown voltage. The cross sectional view of 2G HTS tapes was observed by using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). As results, it is found that the degradation characteristics of 2G HTS tapes are concerned with hardness and electrical resistivity of stabilizer layers.

In this study, previously reported surplus solar energy-related study result and current status of fan coil unit (FCU) for cooling and heating installed in the current sites were briefly examined and then a method to determine the number of FCUs required to recover surplus solar energy was schematically proposed to provide basic data for researchers and technical engineers in this field. The maximum, mean, and minimum outside temperatures during the experiment period were about $28.2^{\circ}C$, $4.4^{\circ}C$, and $-11.5^{\circ}C$, respectively. The horizontal surface solar radiation level outside the greenhouse was in a range of $0.8-20.5MJ{\cdot}m^{-2}$ and mean and total solar radiation were $10.8MJ{\cdot}m^{-2}$ and $1,187.5MJ{\cdot}m^{-2}$. The mean temperature and relative humidity in the greenhouse during the daytime were in a range of 18.8-45.5 and 53.5-77.5%. The total surplus solar energy recovered from the greenhouse during the experiment period was approximately 6,613.4MJ, which could supplement about 6.7% of the total heating energy 98,600.2 MJ. In addition, the number of FCUs installed for heating varies case to case, although similar FCUs are used. Thus, it is necessary to study the installation height, orientation and installation distance as well as the appropriate number of FCUs from the efficient and economical viewpoints. The required numbers of FCUs for surplus solar energy recovery were 8.4-10.9units and 6.1-8.0units based on air mass and circular flow rate that passed through the FCUs. Considering calculation methods and the risks such as efficiency and use environments of FCUs, it was found that about nine units (one unit per $24m^3$ approximately) needed to be installed. The required number of FCUs for surplus solar energy recovery was around one unit per $24m^3$ approximately.
Current leads are one of the important components for carrying the current to the coil in the superconducting magnet system. Heat leakage through the current lead is the major factor of entire heat load in the cryogenic system because current leads carry the current from room temperature to near 4 K, connecting thermally each other. Therefore, minimization heat load through current lead can reduce the operating temperature of superconducting magnet. The semi-retractable current lead, composed of multi-contact connector and HTS element, is one of good options. Comprehension of Multi-contact connector's structure, contact resistance and heat generation is essential for estimating heat generation in current leads. Multi-contact connector has several louvers inside of socket and the shape, number, size of louvers are different with the size of connector. Therefore contact area, current path and contact resistance are also different. In this study, the contact resistance in multi-contact connector is measured using the electrical power as a function of connector's size and temperature. Also, the unique correlation of electrical contact resistance is derived and heat generation is estimated for superconducting magnet application.
In this study, the cDNA library of Chang-liver cells was immunoscreened using common ADAMs antibody to obtain ADAM related genes. We found one positive clone that was confirmed as a new gene by Blast, which is an uncharacterized helical and coil protein and processes protease activity, and named protease-related protein 1 (ARP1). The submitted GenBank accession number is AY078070. Molecular characterizations of ARP1 were analyzed with appropriate bioinformatics software. To analyse its expression and function, ARP1 was subcloned into glutathione S-transferase fusion plasmid pGEX-2T and expressed by E. coli system. The in vitro expression product of ARP1 was recognized by common ADAMs antibody with western blot. Interestingly, ARP1 cleaves gelatine at pH9.5, which suggests it is an alkaline protease. Semi-quantitative RT-PCR result indicates that ARP1 mRNA is strongly transcribed in the liver and the treated Chang-liver cells.
We investigated the operating characteristics of a flux-lock type superconducting fault current limiters according to the number of the serial connection each the superconducting element at the additive polarity winding of a transformer. This SFCL consists of two coils wound in parallel on the same iron core, and the secondary coil is connected to the elements in series. Operating characteristics can be controlled by adjusting the inductances and the winding directions of the coils. It turns ratio between the primary and the secondary coils is 63:21. The analysis of voltage, current, and resistance in serial connection each element was performed to increase the applied voltage of flux-lock type SFCL. When the applied voltage was 200/$\sqrt{3}[V_{rms}]$ with three elements connected in seres, the peak value of the line current increased up to 26,24[A]. On the other hands, resistive SFCL increased up to 36.35[A], under the same conditions. This enabled the flux-lock type SFCL to be easy to increase the capacity of power system.
Objective: To gain basic information regarding the biologic stability of plasma ion-implanted miniscrews and their potential clinical applications. Methods: Sixteen plasma ion-implanted and 16 sandblasted and acid-etched (SLA) miniscrews were bilaterally inserted in the mandibles of 4 beagles (2 miniscrews of each type per quadrant). Then, 250 - 300 gm of force from Ni-Ti coil springs was applied for 2 different periods: 12 weeks on one side and 3 weeks contralaterally. Thereafter, the animals were sacrificed and mandibular specimens including the miniscrews were collected. The insertion torque and mobility were compared between the groups. The bone-implant contact and bone volume ratio were calculated within 800 mm of the miniscrews and compared between the loading periods. The number of osteoblasts was also quantified. The measurements were expressed as percentages and analyzed by independent t-tests (p < 0.05). Results: No significant differences in any of the analyzed parameters were noted between the groups. Conclusions: The preliminary findings indicate that plasma ion-implanted miniscrews have similar biologic characteristics to SLA miniscrews in terms of insertion torque, mobility, bone-implant contact rate, and bone volume rate.
AC loss on variation of external magnetic field is a very important factor in development of power applications. In this paper, we measured and compared AC loss of hybrid-multi stacked wire made of the combination of 1G wires and 2G wires and uniform-multi-stacked wire made of one type of wires, 1G wires or 2G wires. Measurement was performed using by the linked-picked coil method. As results, as the number of wires increase, AC loss per unit volume of both stacked wires in low external magnetic field is reduced. Also AC loss of 2G slacked wire is higher than that of 1G wire. AC loss per unit length of 2G stacked wire is less than that of 1G stacked wire. And AC loss of hybrid-multi stacked wire made of the combination of 1G wires and 2G wires was between uniform-multi-stacked wire made of 1G wires and 2G wires.

The pressing of car body parts is one of the most important sheet metal drawing processes. The corrosion protection oil applied by the steel mills plays a part in every sheet metal forming operation and also makes up the largest proportion of lubricants used. The idea to combine the corrosion protection properties of a corrosion preventive oil with the lubricity of a drawing oil lead to the development of the Anticorit prelubes. Applied at the finishing lines of the steel mills, they finally serve as lubricant in the press shops. A prerequisite for the suitability of a prelube-type oil is the absolute compatibility with all single processes from the coil to the Body in White. The use of prelubes in steel mills reduces the number and quantity of spot lubricants for additional press shop oiling dramatically. But their true benefits can only be fully achieved if the compatibility principle is applied throughout the manufacturing chain. Therefore, modem prelubes systems are modular, even different viscosities can be part of the same concept. This results in a far-reaching multifunctionality of the Anticorit prelube system for all applications.

In this thesis, we would show how to lay out and produce the shell-type transformer using the world's first Zig-Zag winding way, instead of a general winding. Also, we omit the progress of varnish-impregnation, so that we could develop the new shell-type transformer winding which improves the short-circuit characteristics and dielectric strength. It has a copernican effect to reduce the thickness and the number of insulation papers, as compared with a general winding transformer. We would prove that it is far superior in cost reduction, loss reduction, and mechanical force of short-circuit. And eventually you must find it useful in the pole transformer for power distribution in the domestic power companies.
