  • In this paper, Threshold setting method is proposed to improve detection probability for cooperative sensing. Even if cooperative users have all same false alarm rate, each user has different threshold due to pass ad-hoc channel. threshold level is related to detection probability. So, we select the highest threshold among cooperative users and then share threshold information for getting the high detection probability.

  • In this paper, we propose system model to solve conventional threshold problem of using fixed false alarm for energy spectrum sensing. Spectrum sensing reliability is ensured when Secondary user have high SNR. Thus, it is not reasonable using fixed optional false alarm without considering CR user's SNR. So, we propose adaptive threshold method. adaptive threshold is decided by controling FA according to CR user's SNR.

  • In this paper, we consider the discrete memoryless user relaying channel (DMURC) in which a user-relay switches its operational mode symbol-by-symbol. In particular, we obtain upper and lower bounds on the channel capacity for the general DMURC and then show that these the upper and lower bounds coincide for degraded DMURC. It is also shown that the capacity of the degraded DMURC can be achieved using two separate codebooks corresponding to the two UR states. While the UR is assumed to switch states symbol-by-symbol, the results in this paper is the same as when the UR switches states packet-by-packet.

  • This article proposes a spectrum sharing method which can avoid the mutual interference in both primary and secondary systems. The two systems make them a priority to use two single-dimension orthogonal signals, the real and imaginary pulse amplitude modulation signals, if the primary system is not in outage with this use. A secondary transmitter is selected to be the primary relay and the active secondary source to perform this. This allows a simultaneous spectrum access without any mutual interference. Otherwise, the primary system attempts to use a full two-dimensional signal, the quadrature amplitude modulation signal. If there is no outage with respect to this use, the secondary spectrum access is not allowed. When both of the previous attempts fail, the secondary system is allowed to freely use the spectrum two whole time slots. The analysis and simulation are provided to analyze the outage performance and they validate the considerable improvement of the proposed method as compared to the conventional one.

  • This letter studies the problem of exploiting multichannel diversity in a spectrum sharing system, where the secondary user (SU) sequentially explores channel state information on the licensed channels with time consumption. To maximize the expected achievable throughput for the SU, we formulate this problem as an optimal stopping problem, whose objective is to choose the right channel to stop exploration based on the observed signal-to-noise ratio sequence. Moreover, we propose a myopic but optimal rule, called one-stage look-ahead rule, to solve the stopping problem.

  • In this paper, we investigate the energy detector to detect a primary user. And employ the compressed sensing method to get the lower sampling rate than Nyquist sampling rate. In more wide bandwidth we using the small samples than Nyquist sampling rate samples to recover original signal. we investigate the performance of energy detector with compressive sensing method under suzuki channel. The performance is investigated by simulation and compared to that of conventional energy detector.

  • In order to improve sensing performance when the noise variance is not known, this paper considers a so-called blind spectrum sensing technique that is based on eigenvalue models. In this paper, we employed the spiked population models in order to identify the miss detection probability. At first, we try to estimate the unknown noise variance based on the blind measurements at a secondary location. We then investigate the performance of detection, in terms of both theoretical and empirical aspects, after applying this estimated noise variance result. In addition, we study the effects of the number of SUs and the number of samples on the spectrum sensing performance.

  • In this paper, we present a new sensing method based on phase entropy. Entropy is a measurement which quantifies the information content contained in a signal. For the PSK modulation, the information is encoded in the phase of the transmitted signal. By focusing on phase, more information is collected during sensing, which suggests a superior performance. The sensing based on Phase entropy is not limited to PSK signal. We generalize it to PAM signal as well. It is more advantageous to detect the phase. The simulation results have confirmed the excellent performance of this novel sensing algorithm.
