SOL-GEL법을 이용한 $SrBi_2TaNbO_9$ 강유전성 박막 제조 및 특성 평가 (Fabrecation and Characterization of $SrBi_2TaNbO_9$ Ferroelectric Thin Film Prepared by Sol-Gel Method)

  • Polycrystalline SBTN ferroelectric thin films were prepared by sol-gel method with various Nb mole ratios on Pt/ $SiO_2$/Si (100) substrates. The films were annealed at different temperatures and characterized in terms of phase and microstructure. Relatively a well saturated hysteresis pattern was obtained at x =0.2 in S $r_{0.8}$B $i_{2.3}$(T $a_{1-x}$ N $b_{x}$)$_2$ $O_{9+}$$\alpha$/ thin films. At an applied voltage of 5V, the dielectric constant ($\varepsilon$$_{r}$) and dissipation factor (tan $\delta$) of typical S $r_{0.8}$B $i_{2.3}$(T $a_{1-x}$ N $b_{x}$)$_2$ $O_{9+}$$\alpha$/ thin film (x=0.2) were about 236.2 and 0.034. Measured remanent polarization (2Pr) and coercive field (Ec) were 4.28C/c $m_2$, and 38.88kv/cm respectively. No fatigue was observed up to 6$\times$10$_{10}$ switching cycles at 5V and the normalized polarization reduced by a factor of only 4%.%. 4%.%. 4%.%.%.%.%.

$Y_2O_3$ 첨가에 따른 PZT계 세라믹의 초전특성 (Pyroelectric Properties of PZT System Ceramics with Addition of $Y_2O_3$)

  • In this paper, $0.10Pb(Sb_{1/2}Sn_{1/2})O_3-0.25PbTiO_3-0.65PbZrO_3$ ceramics were fabricated by the mixed-oxide method. The sintering temperature and time were $1230^{\circ}C$ and 2(hr), respectively. The structural, dielectric and pyroelectric properties with addition of $Y_2O_3$ were studied. The crystal structure of a specimen was rhombohedral. As a result of SEM, the average grain size were decreased with increasing the contents of $Y_2O_3$. Relative dielectric constant and dielectric loss of the specimen doped with 0.2wt% $Y_2O_3$ were 597 and 0.022, respectively. Remanent polarization and coercive field of the specimen doped with 0.4wt% $Y_2O_3$ were $8.5[{\mu}C/cm^2]$ and 10.2[kV/cm], respectively.

  • Ferroelectric $Sr_{0.3}Ba_{0.7}Nb_{2}O_{6}$ (SBN30) thin films were deposited on Pt/Ti/$SiO_{2}$/Si(100) substrates by ion beam sputtering. During annealing treatment at $750^{\circ}C$, poling was attempted by applying dc voltage bias across polished surfaces. Phase relation, microstructure and crystallization behavior were examined using XRD and FE-SEM. Ferroelectric hysteresis characteristics were also determined where both remanent polarization and coercive values decreased with the increase of bias voltage. The measured remanent polarization and coercive field values at 5 V and 10 V bias were $36{\mu}C/cm^2$, $10{\mu}C/cm^2$ and 100kV /cm, 80kV /cm, respectively.

Magnetic and Microwave Absorbing Properties of Ti-and Co-Substituted Barium Ferrite (BaFe12-2X TiXCoXO19)

  • The M-type barium ferrite ($BaFe_{12}O_{19}$) is well known magnetic material to be used as a permanent magnet due to its strong uniaxial anisotropy. The substitution of nonmagnetic $Ti^{+4}$ and magnetically weak $Co+^2ion for Fe^{+3}$ to its strong uniaxial anisotropy. The substitution of nonmagnetic $Ti^{+4}$ and magnetically weak $Co+^2ion for Fe^{+3}$ sublattices reduces the uniaxial anisotropy and those compounds open a new application field of noise suppressor at high frequencies. In this study, the magnetic and microwave absorbing properties are investigated in Ti-and Co-substituted barium ferrites ($BaFe_{12-2X} Ti_XCo_XO_{19}$). The saturated magnetization decreases linearly with the substitution of Ti and Co. The rapid drop in coercive force is observed with Ti and Co substitution upto x=1.2. The magnetic permeability spectrum shows the natural magnetic resonance in the specimens with small coercive force and large attenuation of microwave is predicted in those specimens at high frequencies (above 4 GHz).

  • The use of amorphous magnetic alloys as tags or targets in electronic article surveillance systems such as antishoplifting desvices is briefly reviewed. Improved tags became possible with the discovery in 1988 of asymmetric magnetization reversal (AMR) in certain amorphous alloys annealed in applied field approximately equal to the earth's field. These asymmetric hysteresis loops are highly unusual, if not unique, and so greatly diminish the probability of false alarms in a detection system. furthermore, the jump field Hj, which is the coercive field in negative applied fields, can be controlled over a useful range by controlling the field applied to the sample during annealing. By applying several tags to an object, each with a different jump field, it is possible to identify the object with a numeric code that can be remotely read by nonoptical means.

전기장이 강유전체 내의 균열킹크에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Electric Fields on Crack Kinking in Ferroelectrics)

  • Effect of transverse electric field on crack kinking in ferroelectric ceramics subjected to purely electric loading is investigated. It is shown that the shape and size of the domain switching zone depends strongly on the direction of the applied electric field as well as the ratio of the transverse electric field to the coercive electric field. Under small-scale conditions, mode I and II stress intensity factors induced by ferroelectric domain switching are numerically obtained. The crack kinking in ferroelectrics is also discussed.

PNN-PZ-PT계 세라믹스의 압전변위특성 (The Characteristics of Piezoelectric Strian Constants on PNN-PZ-PT Ceramics)

  • The temperature dependence of piezoelectric strain constant and the electric field induced strain are investigated as a function of PT in 0.5[xPT-(1-x)PZ]-0.5PNN ceramics. The piezoelectric strain constant d31 has the highest value(360$\times$10-12m/V) at PT=0.68. The temperature dependence of d31 is improved as Curie temperature of sample is increased, and the electric field dependence of induced strain is decreased with the coercive field increased. This ceramic system shows both piezoelectric effect and electrostrictive effect under the applied electric field. The piezoelectric of tetragonal phase is higher than that of rhombohedral phase, and the magnitude of electrostrictive constant is appeared in the order of morphotropic, rhombohedral and tetragonal phase. The piezoelectric strain constant with applied field must be considered theelectrostrictive effect due to 90$^{\circ}$domain wall displacements, and the displacement of bimorph type actuator agrees with the calulated value well.

  • The maximum coercive force of SmCo thin film was obtained at the Sm=28.2% and dc bias field was generated to CoZrNb, soft magnetic thin film, deposited on the SmCo thin film. DC field point having the maximum permeability for CoZrNb was shifted to higher dc field. DC field strength increased as the length of easy direction of magnetization decreased and 60Oe was measured for $3mm{\times}0.5mm$ sample.

Pb(Zr0.8Ti0.2)O3강유전 음극에서 비대칭 전극구조가 전자 방출 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Asymmetric Electrode Structure on Electron Emission of the Pb(Zr0.8Ti0.2)O3 Ferroelectric Cathode)

  • Pb(Zr$_{0.8}$Ti$_{0.2}$)O$_3$강유전체 음극의 상부 전극 크기를 변화시키며(500$mu extrm{m}$~900$\mu\textrm{m}$)비대칭 전극 구조에서의 전자 방출에 대하여 연구하였다. 펄스 전기장을 가했을 때 나타나는 분극 반전에 의한 전류 밀도는 상부 전극 크기를 감소시킴에 따라 증가하였다. 이것은 비대팅 전극 구조에 의해 강유전체 표면에서 stray-field가 발생하고, stray field가 전극의 모서리 부근의 강유전체 표면 하부에도 분극 반전을 발생시켰기 때문이다. 전기장 전산모사를 통하여 이러한 stay-field의 존재 가능성을 예측할 수 있었고, 분극 반전에 의한 전류 밀도 측정 결과 stray-field가 미치는 거리는 약 11-l4$\mu\textrm{m}$이었다. 전자방출의 문턱전계는 항전계 의 약 3배인 61-68kV/cm이었으며, 문턱전계가 단순히 강유전체의 항전계에 의해 결정되는 것이 아니라, 강유전 음극의 구조에 의해 결정되는 stray-field의 세기와 stray-field가 미치는 거리에 영향을 받음을 전산모사를 통해 예측할 수 있었다.
