저가형 IR Window의 AR Coating 특성 연구

  • 칼코게나이드계 재료를 사용한 비냉각 적외선 센서의 윈도우를 제작하여 그 특성을 조사하였다. 조성을 EDS로 분석한 결과 Ge-Se-Sb로 구성되어 있음을 확인하였다. 두께 2mm인 윈도우 모재를 양면 경연마한 후 코팅 설계치로 8-12um 영역에서 평균 투과도가 95.6%로 나타났다. 이온빔보조증착장치를 이용하여 Ge, ZnS, $YF_3$ 소스로 코팅한 결과 투과도는 동일파장영역에서 약 94%로 나타났다. 칼코게나이드 원재료의 투과도는 약 69%로써 12um 영역 부근에서 강한흡수를 보였다. 코팅면의 거칠기 값(Ra)은 약 1.5 nm로써 매우 매끄러운 면을 얻었으며, 단면 SEM 측정 결과 설계치와 유사한 박막 두께를 얻었다.

열 차단 필름의 적용에 따른 냉난방 부하 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Heating and Cooling Load through Applying Window Film Insulation)

  • In order to reduce the energy consumption of the building, much effort is being made. The problems are that excessive solar radiation in summer and the heat loss in winter by the increase of window area. To prevent this problems, government limited the window area ratio or the performance of windows in new buildings. In order to reduce energy consumption of the existing buildings, the window film insulation is spotlight because the window film insulation was simple to installation. This study confirmed the performance of the window film insulation and affect to heating & cooling load of buildings. The impact of the window film insulation coating was confirmed by experiment. And this study confirmed the annual heating & cooling load by simulation. As a results, the surface temperature of coated window was higher than the surface temperature of existing window. The window film insulation was increased surface temperature of window. And this study confirmed that the increased surface temperature was slightly affected the room air temperature through experiment of the insulation box. The results of the heating and cooling load by simulation, this study confirmed that the case of coated window film insulation decreased cooling load in summer and increased heating load in winter. Also the annual total heating & cooling load was increased a little in the case of coated the window film insulation.

윈도우 영역을 갖는 측방향으로 경사진 SCH-SLD의 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of Laterally Tilted SCH-SLD with Window Region)

  • 광통신용 광섬유의 최저손실 파장영역인 1.55w에서 고출력으로 안정하게 동작하는 SLD를 설계하기 위하여 이론적인 해석을 수행하였다. 활성영역과 SCH층의 재료는 Int-xGaxAsyPl-y를 이용하였다. 활성영역의 측방향과 횡방향 모드해석으로부터 단일모드 고출력 동작을 위한 광전력분포와 광가둠계수를 구하였으며, 이들 계산으로부터 최대 광가둠계수를 얻기 위한 SCH층의 조성과 두께를 계산하였다. 낮은 반사도를 얻기 위하여 후면 에 윈도우 영역을 두었고 활성영역과 윈도우 영역의 계면이 측방향으로 각도를 가지게 하였으며 가우시안빔 근사와 모드해석으로부터 반사도를 계산하였다. $1.3\mum$ InGaAsP를 SCH층으로 하였을 때 최대의 광가둠계수를 얻기 위한 SCH층의 두께는$0.08\mum$정도이었다. 10-4정도의 반사도를 얻기 위해서는 활성층의 두께를 $0.2\mum$, SCH 층의 두께를 $0.08\mum$ 로 하였을 때 무반사코팅을 하지 않을 경우 윈도우 영역의 길이는 $100\mum$ 정도이고, 반사도 1% 정도의 무반사 코팅을 할 경우 $10\mum$ 정도가 된다. 측면 경사각이 $10~15^{\circ}$이면 반사도는 10-3정도가 된다. 이들 결과로부터 AR코팅을 하지 않고도 윈도우 영역의 길이와 측면 경사각을 적당히 조절한다면 안정적으로 동작하는 SLD의 제작이 가능하다는 것을 알 수 있다.

  • K1A1 tank commander's primary thermal sight is a device that enables tank commanders to detect, identify, aim and track the target by observing targets in all directions during day, night and in situations of smokescreen and fog through $360^{\circ}$ rotation independent from the gunner's primary thermal sight and stabilizing the line of sight even under the vibrations occurring when the tank is standstill and moving. The main function of this device is to detect and process visible and thermal images and deliver the final images to the tank commander. One of the core parts to that end is the observation window (daytime/thermal image window). This core part is mounted at the entrance of the optical path for observing the target and plays the role of making visible light during the daytime and infrared light during the night pass through the target and transmitting the resultant images to the internal optical system of the tank commander's primary thermal sight. Such core parts have been selected as depot maintenance items so that they are replaced by new parts instead of being recycled when they are subjected to maintenance in most cases. That is, the military budget is wasted because such parts are replaced by new parts despite that they can be recycled for maintenance. Therefore, this study proposed a mounting tool for polishing and coating observation windows (daytime and thermal image window) using planar polishing equipment and DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating equipment. In addition, this study presented an amendment (proposal) of the Depot Maintenance Work Request (DMWR) already published to verify the performance of recycled products including the establishment of inspection standards for recycling processes.

  • The glass used for Mobile Camera Window is required to have high strength. Cell type manufacturing by means of CNC is widely used for camera window. Individual loading and unloading is needed for each process, such as painting and PVD, in cell type manufacturing. The purpose of this study is to search the enhanced manufacturing process with sheet type throughout bulk unit production in painting and PVD. This study includes sheet type manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, wet etching, 2nd tempering, printing, and AF/AR coating.

  • 자동차 선도장 강판을 위한 핵심 응용기술로서 3-롤코팅 공정을 연구하였다. 본 연구를 위한 3-롤코팅은 저장조로부터 코팅액을 끌어 올리는 pick-up롤, 적절한 코팅 두께로 계량시키기 위한 계량롤, 강판에 직접 코팅시키기 위한 applicator 롤로 구성되어 있다. 전단담화의 유변물성을 갖는 고분자 도료의 코팅 유동 특성과 코팅 운전 영역을 pickup 롤과 계량롤 사이의 속도비와 간격 등의 공정조건과의 상관관계를 통해 고찰하였다. 안정한 코팅 영역에서, 간격이 크거나 속도비가 작을수록 코팅 두께는 증가하였다. 또한, ribbing과 cascade라는 불안정성은 각각 속도비가 낮고 높을 때 관찰되었다. 특히, 속도비가 낮을때, ribbing의 파장과 심각도가 증가함을 확인하였다.

  • This study evaluates the energy performance of super high-rise residential buildings with e-QUEST simulation and calculates the annual cooling and heating load. The result of this study have concluded that the most influential factor is the characteristics of the window and also suggest the most efficient window system from the result of calculation of different glasses' cooling and heating load. The result of this study shows that The most efficient method to enhance the energy performance is to use low reflective 3 pairs Low-E glass and Low-E coating(inside of outer glass) pair glass.

  • Recently the researchers has been interested in the development of the high performance windows such as solar control window using automatic shading devices, air-flow window, selective coating window. In order to assess the energy performance of total fenestration system, the net energy gains or losses through the glazings and windows should be evaluated. It depends on the thermal transmittance (U-value) and the total solar energy transmittance (SHGC, g-value). This study aims to measure the solar heat gain coefficient according to the NFRC 201 standard test method. In results, we could find the result of different SHGC of the glazing system with a different slat angles. The SHGC in case of $90^{\circ}$ of internal slat angle with regard to the window surface is about 0.56, that in case of $45^{\circ}$ is about 0.49 and that in case of $0^{\circ}$ is about 0.33. Significant dependence on the solar radiation intensity and incident angle was found in comparison of the measured and simulated SHGC.

Dual Band Optical Window (DBW) for Use on an EO/IR Airborne Camera

  • This paper presents a method to derive the theoretical requirements for the development of a 400 mm optical window that transmits dual-band wavelengths and had a stable structure. We also present design and fabrication results. Among the required specifications, the surface figure error was defined by the transmitted wavefront deformation (TWD), ${\lambda}$/15 rms at 632.8 nm. This value was derived by estimating the predicted performances with respect to five independent items that could cause system performance degradation and then calculating the required wavefront error (WFE) to satisfy the performance goals. We measured the image resolution at each performance level to trace and verify the requirements. The article also describes a design optimization process that could minimize the weight and volume of the optical window attached to the payload securing the FOV of the camera. In addition, we accurately measured the deformation that occurred in the series of fabrication steps including processing, coating, assembly, bonding and bolting, and investigated the effects by comparing them to the results of a simulation performed in advance to derive the predicted performance.

이중 및 삼중 로이창호의 일사획득에 따른 사무소건물의 냉난방에너지 성능분석 (Heating & Cooling Energy Performance Analysis of an Office Building according to SHGC level of the Double & Triple Glazing with Low-e Coating)

  • An SHGC(Solar Heat Gain Coefficient) is a determinant of total flux of solar radiation coming indoor and a critical factor in evaluating heating and cooling load. U-value represents heat loss while SHGC denominates heat gain. Recently, windows with high solar gain, mid solar gain or low solar gain are being produced with the development of Low-E coating technology. This study evaluated changes in energy consumption for heating and cooling according to changes in SHGC when using double-layered Low-E glass and triple layered Low-E glass in relation to double layered clear glass as base glass. An Office was chosen for the evaluation. For deriving optical properties of each window, WINDOW 5 by LBNL, an U.S. based company. and the results were analyzed to evaluate performance of heat and cooling energy on anannual basis using ESP-r, an energy interpretation program. Compared to the energy consumption of the double layered clear glass, the double layered Low-E glass with high solar gain consumed $69.5kWh/m^2,yr$, 9% more than the double layered clear glass in cooling energy. The one with mid solar gain consumed $63.1kWh/m^2,yr$, 1% less than the base glass while the one with low solar gain consumed $57.6kWh/m^2,yr$, 10% less than the base glass. When it comes to tripled layered glass, the ones with high solar showed 2% of increase respectively while the one with mid solar gain and low solar gain resulted 5% and 11% in decrease in energy consumption due to low acquisition of solar radiation. With respect to cooling energy. it was found that the lower the SHGC. the less energy consumption becomes.
