  • In the motion recognition system using depth image, the depth image is converted to the real world formed 3D point cloud data for efficient algorithm apply. And then, output depth image is converted by the projective world after algorithm apply. However, when coordinate conversion, rounding error and data loss by applied algorithm are occurred. In this paper, when convert 3D point cloud data to depth image, we proposed efficient conversion method and its hardware implementation without rounding error and data loss according image size change. The proposed system make progress using the OpenCV and the window program, and we test a system using the Kinect in real time. In addition, designed using Verilog-HDL and verified through the Zynq-7000 FPGA Board of Xilinx.

  • Recently, safety issues in companies and public institutions are no longer a task that can be postponed, and when a major safety accident occurs, not only direct financial loss, but also indirect loss of social trust in the company and public institution is greatly increased. In particular, in the case of a fatal accident, the damage is even more serious. Accordingly, as companies and public institutions expand their investments in industrial safety education and prevention, open AI learning model creation technology that enables safety management services without being affected by user behavior in industrial sites where high-risk situations exist, edge terminals System development using inter-AI collaboration technology, cloud-edge terminal linkage technology, multi-modal risk situation determination technology, and AI model learning support technology is underway. In particular, with the development and spread of artificial intelligence technology, research to apply the technology to safety issues is becoming active. Therefore, in this paper, an open cloud platform design method that can support AI model learning for high-risk site safety management is presented.

  • With the assistance of non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA), the spectrum efficiency and the number of users in cloud radio access network (CRAN) can be greatly improved. In this paper, the system performance of NOMA-assisted CRAN is investigated. Specially, the outage probability (OP) and ergodic sum rate (ESR), are derived for performance evaluation of the system, respectively. Based on this, by minimizing the OP of the system, a suboptimal power allocation (PA) scheme with closed-form PA coefficients is proposed. Numerical simulations validate the accuracy of the theoretical results, where the derived OP has more accuracy than the existing one. Moreover, the developed PA scheme has superior performance over the conventional fixed PA scheme but has smaller performance loss than the optimal PA scheme using the exhaustive search method.

  • Recent network environment has been rapidly evolved to cloud computing environment based on the development of the Internet technologies. Furthermore there is an increasing demand on mobile cloud computing due to explosive growth of smart devices and wide deployment of LTE-based cellular networks. Thus mobile Desktop-as-a-Service(DaaS) could be a pervasive service for nomadic users. In addition, video streaming traffic is currently more than two-thirds of mobile traffic and ever increasing. All such trends enable that video streaming in mobile DaaS could be an important concern for mobile cloud computing. It should be noted that the performance of the Transmission Control Protocol(TCP) on cloud host servers greatly affects Quality of Service(QoS) of video streams for mobile users. With widely deployed Linux server platforms for cloud computing, in this paper, we conduct an experimental analysis of the twelve Linux TCP variants in mobile DaaS environments. The results of our experiments show that the TCP Illinois outperforms the other TCP variants in terms of wide range of packet loss rate and propagation delay over LTE-based wireless links between cloud servers and mobile devices, even though TCP CUBIC is usually used in default in the current Linux systems.

  • As the usefulness of mobile device is kept growing the privacy of the cloud computing is receiving more attentions. Even though many researches and solutions for privacy matters are suggested we are still worrying about the security problems. In addition most of cloud computing systems uses file-level synchronization which make it difficult to modify a part of a file. If we use data-centric app that stores data on embedded DBMS such as SQLite, a simple synchronization may incur some loss of information. In this paper we propose a solution to build a personal cloud that supports record-level synchronization. And we show a prototype system which uses RESTful web services and the same schema on mobie devices and the cloud storage. Synchronization is achieved by using a kind of optimistic concurrency control.

  • Usage control models are the new breed of access control models that allow description of comprehensive policies for usage of protected content. In this paradigm, decisions regarding access to objects are not limited to request time only. It is coupled with the usage of the protected objects and becomes a continuous process carried out in parallel to the usage. The realization of usage control has been a long standing research problem to overcome the issue of loss of control in secure document dissemination. With the emergence of cloud computing, documents are stored in the cloud, the document viewers and editors themselves reside in the cloud and are accessed from thin clients such as browsers. We note that such scenarios provide an ideal opportunity for the realization of usage control for securing the usage of documents based on the stakeholders' policies. In this paper, we proposed Multimedia Content Management (MCM) for a better realization multimedia content in the cloud based applications. We designed a robust architecture to provide fine-grained control over usage of protected objects through the use of emerging cloud computing paradigm. We present the design principles for this realization and discuss our proposed architecture.

  • Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) is the most widely used protocol in the cloud data centers today. However, cloud data centers using TCP experience many issues as TCP was designed based on the assumption that it would primarily be used in Wide Area Networks (WANs). One of the major issues with TCP in the cloud data centers is the Incast issue. This issue arises because of the many-to-one communication pattern that commonly exists in the modern cloud data centers. In many-to-one communication pattern, multiple senders simultaneously send data to a single receiver. This causes packet loss at the switch buffer which results in TCP throughput collapse that leads to high Flow Completion Time (FCT). Recently, Software-Defined Networking (SDN) has been used by many researchers to mitigate the Incast issue. In this paper, a detailed survey of various SDN based solutions to the Incast issue is carried out. In this survey, various SDN based solutions are classified into four categories i.e. TCP Receive Window based solutions, Tuning TCP Parameters based solutions, Quick Recovery based solutions and Application Layer based solutions. All the solutions are critically evaluated in terms of their principles, advantages, and shortcomings. Another important feature of this survey is to compare various SDN based solutions with respect to different performance metrics e.g. maximum number of concurrent senders supported, calculation of delay at the controller etc. These performance metrics are important for deployment of any SDN based solution in modern cloud data centers. In addition, future research directions are also discussed in this survey that can be explored to design and develop better SDN based solutions to the Incast issue.

  • Host's data during transmission. Data tempering results in loss of host's sensitive information, which includes number of VM, storage availability, and other information. In the distributed cloud environment, each server (computing server (CS)) configured with Local Resource Monitors (LRMs) which runs independently and performs Virtual Machine (VM) migrations to nearby servers. Approaches like predictive VM migration [21] [22] by each server considering nearby server's CPU usage, roatative decision making capacity [21] among the servers in distributed cloud environment has been proposed. This approaches usage underlying server's computing power for predicting own server's future resource utilization and nearby server's resource usage computation. It results in running VM and its running application to remain in waiting state for computing power. In order to reduce this, a decentralized decision making hybrid model for VM migration need to be proposed where servers in decentralized cloud receives, future resource usage by analytical computing system and takes decision for migrating VM to its neighbor servers. Host's in the decentralized cloud shares, their detail with peer servers after fixed interval, this results in chance to tempering messages that would be exchanged in between HC and CH. At the same time, it reduces chance of over utilization of peer servers, caused due to compromised host. This paper discusses, an roatative decisive (RD) approach for VM migration among peer computing servers (CS) in decentralized cloud environment, preserving confidentiality and integrity of the host's data. Experimental result shows that, the proposed predictive VM migration approach reduces extra VM migration caused due over utilization of identified servers and reduces number of active servers in greater extent, and ensures confidentiality and integrity of peer host's data.

  • This study was carried out to characterize thermolabile pectinesterase (TLPE) and thermostable pectinesterase (TSPE) separated from crude PE of Valencia orange in order to investigate the preventive measures of cloudy juice clarification. The TLPE was observed to be mixture of several isoenzymes with the same molecular weight of 36 KD (37.5 KD) but different isoelectric point of pH 8.4, 8.7, 8.9, 9.8 and ${\geq}10$ which were unstable at $70^{\circ}C$, and the TSPE also was found to be mixture of two or three isoenzymes with the same molecular weight of 53 KD (50 KD) but different isoelectric point of pH 8.7, 9.2 and ${\geq}10$ which had slightly different stability from one another at $70^{\circ}C$. The TLPE and the TSPE had the optimum reaction pH of 7.0 and $7.0{\sim}8.5,\;appK_{M}$ of 1.1 and 1.7 mg/ml, appVmax of 0.53 and $1.01\;{\mu}mol/min/{\mu}g$, and the turnover number of 19.000 and 54,000 mol/mol/min toward Kodak pectin, respectively. The TSPE had higher storage stabiblity and cloud loss effect on orange juice than the TLPE. Above all, the crude PE was most effective on orange juice cloud loss among the PEs used.

  • Pectinesterase inhibitor(PEI) of ripened kiwi fruit(Actinidia chinensis) was separated with affinity chromatography using CNBr-activated Sepharose 4B being covalently bound by orange pectinesterse(PE). The affinity resin strongly and selectively bound PEI, which could be eluted in high yield as a single peak by pH 9.5 without loss of inhibitory activity. The separated PEI had maintained almost inhibitory activity at $-25^{\circ}C$ and $5^{\circ}C$ during 30 days but lost it at room temperature in 4 weeks. The PEI possessed a molecular weight of 16.6 KDa, as estimated by 12.5% SDS-PAGE. PEI had optimum pH of 7.5, optimum temperature of below $10^{\circ}C$ and stability up to $70^{\circ}C$. Also, optimum inhibitory activity for PEI was obtained in 0.2 M NaCl of substrate solutions. The kind of inhibition on tomato pectinesterase was found to be noncompetitive, using citrus pectin as substrate. Fresh orange juice added with crude PEI extracts maintained almost the same cloud stability as pasteurized juice. In case of apple juice, the addition of crude PEI extracts to apple juice had decrease of L-ascorbic acid with nearly no effect on cloud loss.
