  • Objectives: This research aimed to identify the influential factors that affect the satisfaction of dental hygiene students' clinical training between college and university and contribute to improvement in clinical practice quality. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 210 dental clinical hygienists from June 10 to August 30, 2018. Data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0. An independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe's post-hoc test, and Pearson's correlation coefficient were employed, and a stepwise multiple regression analysis was performed. Results: Regarding the influential factors of satisfaction with clinical practice among dental hygiene students, in the case of college students, dental hygienist practice instructor dummy, self-efficacy, satisfaction of school life, interpersonal relation was the increasing order. In the case of university students, dental hygienist practice instructors, subjective health, satisfaction with school life, and interpersonal relations was the increasing order. • Purpose: While clinical practice is crucial for nursing students to acquire the skills needed to provide professional, high-quality nursing care, further studies on improving undergraduate nursing programs are needed to provide a supportive clinical learning environment for student nurses. This study aimed to understand nursing students' clinical experiences in newborn nurseries and neonatal intensive care units and to provide basic data for the establishment of strategies to promote effective clinical education. Methods: Interviews were held with 15 nursing students at J University who had clinical practice experience in the newborn nursery and neonatal intensive care unit. The collected data were analyzed using the phenomenological analysis method developed by Colaizzi (1978). Results: The nursing students' experiences were grouped into four categories: "expectations for and anxiety about clinical practice", "acquisition of a wide range of knowledge regarding neonatal nursing", "challenges faced in clinical practice", and "experiencing interpersonal changes". Conclusion: The current neonatal practice nursing education system provides students with positive learning experiences. However, the lack of practice opportunities, insufficient instruction, and the theory-practice gap were identified as major issues hindering students' learning needs. These study results are expected to provide basic data for curriculum development to improve undergraduate nursing education.

  • Nursing majors are a combination of theoretical and practical education, and since the advisor cannot participate in all practices in clinical practice, the efficiency and effectiveness of practical education are limited in judging the results according to students' reactions. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze the domestic literature on the efficiency of clinical practice of nursing college students. The analysis target was selected through PRISMA flow, and the results were derived through categorization and questioning based on content analysis. Looking at the results, research related to the adaptation of trainees was mainstream, and specifically, research related to the characteristics, conflicts, clinical practice environment, and interpersonal anguish of trainees was conducted. In addition, it was confirmed that active and systematic intervention of practical guidance professors was required, such as possible safety accidents, emotional labor problems, and dilemmas during the practice period. Through this study, it is suggested that a systematic framework for nursing and clinical practice should be prepared.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify clinical nurses' knowledge of pharmacology, their need on pharmacology education contents, and perceived connectivity between knowledge and clinical practice. Methods: Subjects consisted of 114 clinical nurses. They responded to self-administered questionnaires about knowledge of pharmacology and need in pharmacology, and perceived connectivity between the knowledge and clinical practice. Results: The mean score of knowledge of pharmacology was $5.2{\pm}1.7$. The mean score of need on pharmacology in clinical practice was $7.9{\pm}1.9$, and those of satisfaction, application, and confidence with clinical performance by applying the knowledge to clinical practice were $7.4{\pm}1.9$, $6.8{\pm}2.0$, and $7.5{\pm}2.1$ respectively. Knowledge of pharmacology was positively correlated with perceived connectivity between knowledge and clinical practice. Scores of need of dose calculations was the highest among 14 units of pharmacology education contents in undergraduate courses while that of development of new drugs was the lowest. Scores of need of coagulation modifier drugs and thrombolytic agents were the highest among 16 units of pharmacology education contents by system specific drug while those of dermatologic and ophthalmic drugs were the lowest. Conclusion: The results indicate that knowledge of pharmacology is important in promoting perceived connectivity with clinical practice by applying knowledge to clinical practice.

  • Purpose : This study is aimed to develop and validate the clinical practice education program and clinical competence scale of occupational therapy student. Methods : The development of the clinical practice education program used the delphi technique method, which had a total of five steps. Based on the occupational therapist's job analysis, the first stage assessed the importance of 21 experts, and the second stage examined the importance of 19 new specialists to derive constitutive factors. In the third stage, in-depth interviews were conducted with three experts based on the derived factors, and in the fourth stage, the final clinical practice education program was derived. In the final stage, the details of the clinical training program were drawn up based on the themes and were reviewed by two experts. Structured and unstructured interviews were conducted with 43 job experts. Results : The expert survey through the delphi technique was conducted three times, and content analysis and descriptive statistics were conducted to examine the distribution of responses. The final 11 educational program topics and contents were derived. Topics are confirmation of client information, evaluation and intervention, cognitive therapy, spinal cord injury, brain injury, musculoskeletal disorders, pediatric occupational therapy, interventions in activities of daily living, driving rehabilitation, vocational rehabilitation, occupational therapy assessment tool, safety training and management. Conclusion : The clinical practice education program reduce the difference between school education and clinical education of occupational therapy student. Occupational therapy helps college student understand occupational therapy practices and improve the quality of clinical education. Through more research and supplementation of clinical practice education programs in the future, it is suggested that clinical practice education be successfully operated in various practice institutions and used as basic data for designing and evaluating useful educational models.

The research design was a descriptive correlational study, and the participants were third-year nursing students. A total of 197 people were involved, including 95 students from a university with simulation training in the curriculum and 102 students from a university without simulation training in the curriculum. It was composed. Frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, independent t-test, and pearson correlation were used to analyze the collected data. As a result of the study, nursing students who had experience in simulation practice education showed significant differences in clinical practice satisfaction and clinical performance ability during clinical practice. However, there was no significant difference in problem-solving ability. In addition, it was confirmed that there was a correlation between simulation training experience, clinical practice satisfaction, and clinical performance ability. Based on the results of this study, it will be possible to develop and utilize simulation education programs in various situations to increase the effectiveness of clinical practice for nursing students.
