복합조직망의 파괴거동에 미치는 미시조직크기의 영향 (The influence of microstructure size on the tensile fracture behavior or dual phase steel)

  • A study has been made of the fracture strength and ductility of the dual phase microstructure, in which the martensitic phase encapsulated islands of ferritic phase in association with the cleavage cracking of ferrite grains. It was found the final fracture occured in a brittle manner, starting from the Griffith crack which consisted of the cleavage crack in the ferrite grains and the cracks in second phase. Furthermore, the effects of the ferrite grain sizes on the Griffith crack were also discussed.

Inhibition of DNA Topoisomerase I by Cryptotanshinone from Salvia miltiorrhiza

  • Cryptotanshinone induced topoisomerase I-mediated DNA cleavage in vitro as strongly as camptothecin, whereas topoisomerase II-mediated DNA cleavage was not induced by this agent. In DNA relaxation assay using calf thymus DNA topoisomerase I and supercoiled pBR322 DNA, cryptotanshinone inhibited topoisomerase I-mediated DNA relaxation in a dose-dependent manner. In unwinding assay, cryptotanshinone ($50{\mu}M$) did not shift the topoisomers of DNA. These results suggest that cryptotanshinone exerted a preferential inhibition of topoisomerase I without intercalating into DNA.

  • We have purified and characterized a deoxyribonuclease from zygotes of the eukaryotic green alga, Chlamydomonas reinhardtii and investigated effects of the polyamines, putrescine, spermidine and spermine on the purifed endonuclease-catalyzed cleavage of plasmid DNA. The enzyme has a molecular weight of about 37 kDa as measured by gel filtration and SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. There is no requirement for a divalent cation. The activity is sensitive to ionic strength, as NaCl and KCl result in inhibition. The cleavage of plasmid DNA by the purified endonuclease was effectively inhibited by polyamines. The enzyme activity was inhibited more effectively by spermine than by spermidine. The inhibition by putrescine was lower than the other two polyamines.

  • 리그닌 생분해의 분해경로 및 매카니즘에 관한 연구가 최근 Kirk와 Higuchi 등에 의하여 활발히 연구되고 있다. 특히, Phanerochaete chrysosporium이 생산해내는 Lignlnase를 이용하여 매우 가치있는 연구 결과를 얻고 있다. 본 총설에서는 Kirk와 Higuchi의 허가를 얻어서 그들의 논문을 중심으로 리그닌의 중요한 결합 양식 별로 즉, ${\beta}$-O-4, ${\beta}$-5, ${\beta}$-1, ${\beta}$-6, 5-5 등의 결합 모델 화합물들의 분해경로 및 매카니즘에 관하여 조사 정리하였다.

  • Depending upon the results obtained by the bromolactonization of olefinic acids (9-11) by means of N-bromosaccharin (4), the influence of the stabilities of the imidic anions resulted from heterolytic cleavage of N-haloimides, such as N-bromosuccinimide (1), N-bromophthalimde (2), and N-bromosaccharin (3) in dry N, N-dimethylformamide on the reactivity is elucidated.

  • 1-Methylimidazolium chlorochromate was prepared by the addition of 1-methylimidazole into a solution of chromic trioxide in 6M hydrochloric acid and obtained in high yield as bright yellow crystalline solids. The reagent was found to be very effective for the oxidation of alcohols and the oxidative cleavage of oximes to the corresponding carbonyl compounds.
