로마시대 건축으로부터 재생된 건축적 특성에 관한 연구 - 초기 르네상스시대 건축물을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Architectural Characteristics Revived from the Roman Architecture - Focused on the early Renaissance Architecture Building -)

  • The purpose of this paper is the study on the architectural characteristics revived from the roman architecture, focused on the early renaissance architecture building. The results of study are as follow: 1. The composition system of Domus which is formed of urban house in the Roman period is presented by spatial arrangement of palace architecture centering around atrium in the Renaissance period. Thus plan type of Domus is used by atrium from which is composed of peristyle from the palace and villa in the Renaissance period. 2. The circular temple in the Roman period is composed of element such as podium, stair, peristyle centering around the basic circular plan. Bramante planed to revive above elements for the Tempietto to concept from the circular temple in the Roman period. 3. The triumphal arch in the Roman period is strong monument to the independent building in the city, but thus arch is used of church facade as the important example which is composed with building elevation in the Renaissance period. 4. The composition system and element of Roman temple which is planned to rectangular plan is composed of high podium, stair, portico, prostyle and pediment. The facade plan of church is used by the partial elements and total elements perfectly from the temple in the Roman period. 5. The linearly successive and repetitive composition which is composition system and element of aqueduct arches of same dimension shows to the palace facade, arcade for gallery space and side elevation plan of S.Fracesco church. 6. Such as background of Colloseum, Rucellai palace can be called good example which is created by the new architectural form to the creative starting point from the classical architecture from.

표준화된 2D CAD와 3D Digital Modeling을 이용한 옥천천주교회의 연혁 기록 (Documentation of the History of Ok-Cheon Catholic Church by standardized 2D CAD and 3D Digital Modeling)

  • 옥천천주교회는 1955년 건립된 이후 4차례에 걸쳐 변형되었다. 앞의 세 차례 변화는 창호와 지붕재료의 간단한 변경이었다면, 1991년 증축이 가장 큰 규모로 일(一)자형 평면에서 장십자형 평면으로 변경되면서 규모 구조 형태에 변화가 생겼다. 현재 이러한 건물연혁은 텍스트로만 정리되어 있을 뿐 시각자료로 구축되어 있지 않다. 이 연구는 옥천천주교회의 시기별 건물 연혁을 내장한 표준화된 2D CAD 도면을 작성하고 3D Digital Modeling을 통해 건물연혁 및 현재 상태를 쉽게 판별할 수 있는 3차원 시각자료를 구축하였다. 이를 통해 등록문화재로 지정된 이 교회의 연혁이 시각자료로 통합되었다. 이 자료는 건물의 보존 및 관리에 효과적으로 이용되며 향후 변경이나 증축, 복원이나 재활용 등에도 기초로 활용될 것이다.

  • Religious architecture in the Gwangju and Jeonam regions played the role of local culture, and in particular, cathedral architecture maintains a consistent religious context and seeks to integrate with the local community. This study is to investigate and analyze the overall data to find out the characteristics and meaning of the Eucharistic adoration, which played a central role in the religious aspect and the space in the cathedral, and used it as basic data for the study of local cathedral architecture. The Eucharistic adoration was activated starting from the time when the Eucharist storage room was placed in the Middle Ages, and in 1979, when Pope John Paul II published a letter, and Bishop Na Gilmo of Incheon introduced the Eucharist, the Eucharistic adoration movement was activated in parishes across the country. However, regarding the Eucharistic adoration, a way to use its spatial meaning and religious use is still unknown, even to its believers. The Eucharistic adoration of the cathedral contains the main spiritual function of managing faith rather than the functions of mission, fellowship, and office work. An approach which composes the liturgical spaces in various architectural planning methods is necessary, but the fundamental and religious meaning must not be abandoned.

초기 양식건축물의 보수.보존에 관한 연구 -국가 지정 교회건축 문화재의 현황조사를 중심으로- (A Study on Repairing and Preservation of the Early Western Style Architecture in Korea - Focused on the Case Study on the Church Buildings Which are Registered as National Cultural Properties -)

  • This study reviewed the preservation status of the Early Western Style Architecture in Korea based on the on-site research of church buildings which are registered as National Cultural Properties. I have investigated 21 church buildings regarding the frequency, content and concept of restoration. The results are summarized as follows First, the churches have been restored extensively in every 17 years on the average. Second, the main restorations are replacement of bricks, painting, waterproofing, repair of roof and timber. And the main changes are extension of plan, removal of Interior posts, and replacement of floor. Third, the main concept of restorations are historical restoration(62%), critical restoration(23%), stylistic restoration(14%). Forth, the category of restoration have been changed, that is extending of incompletion (1st stage), functional improvement and extension of the span of life(2nd stage), improvement of facilities(3rd stage), restoration to the original state and conservation(4th stage). Fifth, the issues of repairing techniques are revival and replacement of weathered bricks, the removal of painting, and structural reinforcement. This study will be able to be used as the fundamental materials to improve the techniques of restoration of Early Western style masonry buildings.

  • Forms provide meaning and deep correlation with human life All religion has symbolity through form expressions. The symbols of christanity is architectural interpreation to express the symbol of glories Form expression was Investigator from architectural design. Expression is regarded as important from the view of forms Form expressions are the motivation of expressing religion as an architectural factor. Form expression is one of proassing from architectural position Also it is the basic data of expressing glory from the architectural designer. So planning of church should be the harmony between city view and acceptance of love.

건축가 A. 딕슨의 초기작품에 나타난 예술과 공예운동의 특성 (Early Architecture of A. Dixon and Art and Craft Quality)

  • 이 논문은 영국 건축가 A. 딕슨의 초기 건축작품에 나타나는 건축적 특징을 파악하고 그의 건축언어로 이해하고자 했으며, 이를 통하여 예술과 공예운동을 깊이 이해할 수 있는 근거로 삼고자 했다. 딕슨은 많은 건축작품을 남기지는 않았지만 예술과 공예건축의 중요한 인물로 평가되고 있으며, 현재에도 큰 존재감을 가지고 있다. 이 논문은 딕슨의 초기작품에 대한 연구가 행해지지 않은 점에 주목하고 딕슨이 설계한 버밍검 길드 홀, 성 앤드류 교회 그리고 성 바질 교회를 대상으로 문헌연구와 현장조사를 거쳐 그의 건축에 나타나는 특징을 규명하고자 했다. 버밍검 길드 홀 설계로 대표되는 그의 작품은 지역의 역사성과 전통성을 중시하는 예술과 공예운동의 속성을 그대로 드러내주고 있으며, 건물의 조형성은 물론 사용되는 재료와 적용된 기술 모두 건축물이 세워지는 지역의 역사와 전통을 따르고자 시도했다. 로마네스크 양식의 차용을 통해 저소득 근로자 주거지에 세워지는 교회에 절제되고 섬세한 디자인을 적용하고 소박한 조형미를 통하여 교회건축의 본질을 표현하고자 한 딕슨의 노력은 주목받을 가치가 있다.

  • This Study is concerned with the present condition and prospect of architectural stained glass in Korea. Stained glass had been architectural art from the origin. But it had declined since the Renaissance era, and began to revive in the early 20th century. The stained glass inflowed with church architecture occasionally by the western missionaries. And it has been developed actively since 1980' with the boom in church building. There are about 30 studios which are making stained glass in Korea, but very few studio work true architectural stained glass. Stained glass is still treated as simple decoration or 2-dimensional mosaic. Architect and interior designer even have little understanding of architectural character of stained glass.I have considered the problems and prospected architectural stained glass which inspire modern architecture with human sensitivity in Korea.
