Objectives : Through an analysis of the previous studies, It is estimated that Chuna(shoulder traction) is effective in reducing the pain and increasing motion range of shoulder joint of the patient. So this study is to investigate the effects of Chuna(shoulder traction) on frozen shoulder. Methods : After treated with acupuncture and electro stimulating therapy, the subjects were measured list of measurement. And then treated with Chuna(shoulder traction) therapy, the subjects were measured list of measurement again. All treatment was performed by the same doctor who is a highly qualified about Chuna(shoulder traction). Chuna(shoulder traction) treatment takes 15 minutes. Three kind of Chuna(shoulder traction) therapy were performed for 5 minutes each. Depending on the degree of the subject's pain, treatment strength was adjusted. Results : - Chuna simultaneous treatment group, shoulder joint range of flexion, extension, abduction, adduction, external rotation and internal rotation movement improved statistically significant. - Chuna simultaneous and acupuncture treatment group, visual analogue scale(VAS) scores of two groups decreased statistically significant. Conclusions : The result suggests that Chuna(shoulder traction) can be effective to recover range of motion and reduce pain on patients with frozen shoulder.

The purpose of this report is to investigate the clinical application of conservative treatment to a patient who has the low back pain and radiational pain. In this case, a female patient, 67 years old, who had low back pain and radiational pain on the right leg. We treated the patient with conservative treatment (acupuncture, herbal medicine, moxibustion) and chuna traction. In result, the in-patient's pain has decreased and walking distance has increased from 10m to 300m for 27 days. In conclusion, conservative treatment and chuna traction could be effective methods to treat the patient who has low back pain and radiational pain.

Objectives : This study was carried out to investigate the effects of "Yangmuji Anchu Traction Technique" on Temporomandibular Joint Disorder Patient. Methods : The therapies were Chuna("Yangmuji Anchu Traction Technique"), acupuncture treatment, Carthami-Semen Herbal Acupuncture treatment and herbal medicine. We estimated the effects of treatment by measuring from a lower front teeth to upper front teeth in open mouth, measuring a gap of center line on front teeth in open mouth. And by measuring Visual Analog Scale(VAS) and Patient Global Assessment(PGA) before and after treatment. Results : After treatment, we confirmed these improvements : the length measuring from a lower front teeth to upper front teeth in open mouth and the gap of center line on front teeth in open mouth was improved in all cases. Also Visual Analog Scale(VAS) was improved in all cases. Conclusions : These results suggested that "Yangmuji Anchu Traction Technique" effected for Temporomandibular Joint Disorder Patient.

Objectives : This study was peformed to evaluate the effect of Chuna Traction, Correction and conservative treatment. Methods : The patient was diagnosed as cervical bulging disc, protrusion and Uncovertebral joint arthrosis through Cervical spine MRI and treated with conservative treatment(Chuna, Acupunture etc.). We measured Visual Analog Score(VAS) and Range Of Motion(ROM) to evaluate treatment effects. Results and Conclusions : ROM of Cervical spine has improved. VAS score was also decreased.

Objects : This study was to report a clinical effect of Chuna Treatment for HIVD-cervical spine Failed Back Surgery Syndrome(FBSS) patient. Methods : In order to alleviate both arm tingling, numbness and neck stiffness, the patient was treated by acupuncture therapy, cervical traction technique of Chuna treatment and conservative managements. To evaluate the effect of the treatment, Recovery rate of Hirabayashi, Verbal Numerical Rating Scale(VNRS) and Neck Disability Index(NDI) score were used. Results : VNRS and NDI were improved and Recovery rate was 100%. Conclusions : Korean Treatment can be effectively used for a patient with HIVD-cervical spine FBSS patient. Further clinical studies are needed to verify the findings.

Objectives: This study was performed to evaluate the effect of acupuncture and traction on Spasmodic Torticollis patient. Methods: The patient was hospitalized Dept. of Oriental Rehabilitation Medicine, College of Oriental Medicine, Dong-Guk University from 19th, May 2005 to 24th, August 2005, diagnosed as Spasmodic Torticollis and treated with Acupuncture, Traction and so on. Results and Conclusions: Symptom of patient such as Spasmodic Torticollis was improved after above treatment. So it is suggested that oriental medical treatment are effective in the Spasmodic Torticollis.

Objects : This study was to report a clinical effect of Chuna Treatment for Cervical Myelopathy due to disc herniation. Methods : The patient was diagnosed as Cervical Myelopathy due to disc herniation through Cervical spine MRI and treated by cervical traction technique of Chuna Treatment with conservative management. JOA score(Japanese Orthopedic Association score), Recovery rate of Hirabayashi, VAS(Visual Analogue Scale), Dynamometer score, ROM(Range of Motion) and Motor weakness Grade were used. Results and Conclusion : JOA score, VAS, Dynamometer score, ROM and Motor weakness Grade were improved and Recovery rate was 100%.

Lhermitte's sign, Valsalva test, Distraction test, Compression test and Spurling test were carried out. Results: VAS, NDI and ROM were improved and Recovery rate was 100%. Objects : This study was to report a clinical effect of Korean Treatment for a patient diagnosed by Computed Tomography as Cervical Spinal Stenosis with Ossification of posterior Longitudinal Ligament. Methods : In order to alleviate left shoulder pain and neck stiffness, the patient was treated by acupuncture therapy, herbal medicine, distilled herbal injection, cervical traction technique of Chuna treatment and conservative managements. To evaluate the effect of the treatment, Recovery rate of Hirabayashi, VAS(Visual Anlaogue Scale), NDI and ROM(Range of Motion) were used. Lhermitte's sign, Valsalva test, Distraction test, Compression test and Spurling test were carried out. Results : VAS, NDI and ROM were improved and Recovery rate was 100%. Conclusions : Korean Treatment can be effectively used for a patient with Cervical Spinal Stenosis with OPLL. Further clinical studies are needed to verify the findings.
