The quality of document images captured by digital camera might be degraded because of non-uniform illumination condition. The high illumination (glare distortion) affects on the contrast condition of the document images. This condition leads to the poor contrast condition of the text in document image. So, optical character recognition (OCR) system might hardly recognize text in the high illuminated area. The method to increase the contrast condition between text (foreground) and background in high illuminated area is proposed in this paper.

This study analyzes location based game focused on the figurative characteristics of mobility. The purpose of this analysis is to extend the understandings of game mobility from technical side toward rhetorical territory. Christian Metz's film theory is appropriate for analysis of the game which is visual and combinational text. According as research findings, structuralize 5-layered spatial maps. And this kind of multi-layering structure generates figurative operations. Adaptive mobility by metaphor, it reflects player's real world movement into the virtual space. Metonymy brings given mobility, it reflects character's movement through all of the virtual maps.

Modem church architecture in korea have many problems in the shape and composition of space and design method. Many church were built without consideration of the identity of the christian religion. The characters of Ando Tadao's church architecture are using the transition space, light and the symbol. The transition space similar to the approach process using in asian temple. It make a meditative space for the church during approach to the chapel. Ando Tadao make meditative space by using self-support wall. In here, Self-supporting wall devide space as the holly space and the common space. Light is very important element in church architecture. He introduce light and shadow in the chapel more significant element. Light and shadow make the space with very dignity. Also, Ando Tadao use symbol as important element. It make the identity of christian religion. He make that as a part of structure. The well-controled symbols change the simple space to more religious place.

This paper is a thesis that explored the necessity and possibility of spiritual teaching that forms the inner side of human beings in the age of AI where objective knowledge is prevalent, focusing on "contemplative pedagogy". For this it first examined the characteristics of objective epistemology of AI and the direction of school education in the AI and explored the necessity and character of spirituality and spiritual teaching as a request for the AI era, and also explores the possibility of realization of spiritual teaching in general school setting through contemplative pedagogy, which actually puts this into practice. As a result of the study, it found that spiritual teaching is not exclusive to a specific area such as religious studies or theology, but is a teaching that should be embodied in all schools and educational fields in today's era where third person knowledge is widespread. It also found that in addition to contemplative teaching, various spiritual teaching models need to be developed and put into practice for this purpose.

In church building, the worship space performing practical rituals and making a place of friendship and education has a role to accept the changing services with the times. And it is also distinguishable from the chaotic surroundings and is the space for religious experience of christian identity we cannot experience in our daily life. Therefore it is very important to investigate its characteristic as the space for religious experience. The important purpose of church building is to make up a worship space, and the chancel in worship space is said to be the core in church building, the center of all worship acts. Especially, today with the tendency of multi-functionalizing and opening in worship space, the chancel in worship space has a more special meaning as spatial, functional and symbolic center. The purpose of this study, with the worship space in domestic protestant churches, is to make up basic data for the worship space plan and interiordesign in church building by analyzing the characteristics of interior design for chancel, the core field of worship space. This study has researched the constituentcharacteristics of interior design for the chancel in worship space in domestic protestant churches in 10 years from 1995 to 2004. And found the worship space opening and multi-functionalizing with the changing times. From now on, the study on interior design for creative worship space should be researched positively for the purpose of expressing the christian identity and the opening and muti-functions, on the basis of christian theology.

While Coronavirus (COVID-19) is popular all over the world, democratic citizenship is strongly highlighted as a factor that has enabled the Republic of Korea to successfully prevent it. Democratic citizenship can also be understood as a civility, which means respecting the individual's individuality, value and freedom, but at the same time pursuing common good based on healthy relationships with others in the community. It is true that despite the need for modern Christianity to practice this civility more gracefully and politely in the public sphere, some churches and Christians have failed to show it during the Corona crisis. Under these circumstances, this study made the following suggestions for the realization of communality through the practice of democratic citizenship beyond the privatization of modern Christianity. First, Christianity needs recognition as a public church and theological establishment of it. Second, modern Christianity needs to recognize the importance of a network society and practice public good more than ever. Third, modern Christianity should be able to provide a new lifestyle for the development of public character in the community. So the New Normal-era church should be able to restore its original churchlikeness by having a Christian identity and communicating gentlemanly in the public domain.

The development and expansion of American style mass media in 1938 created contemporary narratives comparable with the Greek narrative in the past, and one of the leaders is comic book 'Superman.' Although American hegemonism or expansionism was rejected by autonomous independent countries including the Third World nations, the heroic narratives transcending the diverse races and peoples in the U.S. were supported by mass cultures and media and had huge impacts on heroic narratives and various media in many other countries. In particular, 'Superman' occupies an epochal position in the history of comic books as it reinterpreted a universal and contemporary heroic narrative model into a Greek hero and a Christian hero and suggested it visually.

Florence Nightingale is best remembered today as the Lady with the Lamp, but modern research on the English nurse primarily addresses her popular iconography as a historical misrepresentation of her character and career. This scholarly reluctance to analyze critically Nightingalean iconography, however, has obscured important cultural work performed by the popular tropes. This article argues that the proliferation of Nightingale's iconic image as a symbol of Christian womanhood in transatlantic periodical poetry, when examined separately from biographical considerations, reveals important insights into the complex relationship between form and affect in mid-nineteenth periodicals. Popular representations of Nightingale give form to the disorienting effects produced on newspaper readers by the nascent field of international journalism and reflect a key generic paradox at the heart of the Victorian periodical: the simultaneous aim to report news objectively and to move readers affectively in response to events beyond national contexts and interests. Focusing on Lewis Carroll's "The Path of Roses" and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's "Santa Filomena," this article contends that Nightingalean periodical poetry mirrors back to readers their own affective response to modern media and functions as a new technology for managing an increasingly acute awareness of events and ethical responsibilities beyond the nation.

According to the era, area, culture, and scholars, the beauty has been variously interpreted. This paper is analyzed about human beauty, the university environment beauty, and the relevance of awareness about beauty and convergence education. Especially this paper is researched on the basis of the survey data for the B University students. Also in this paper, we considered that what is beauty, whether and how to recognize human beauty, which was investigated whether the beauty of the campus environment. Futhermore, we discussed about relevance of beauty and convergence education. We describes relevance of major education and aesthetics, and relevance of characteristics education. In this survey, it can be seen that theses students have awareness of holistic human beauty and that inner beauty rather than outer beauty is more preferentially. The beauty of university environment is important to know university member's beauty, and individual character and major competencies of faculties and staffs suited to establishment ideology of the university, and the emotional education and administration suited to the emotional generations. Because beauty awareness of university programs appear through the students' character and major competence, it was recognized that the convergence beauty education of university program is properly carried out is important.

Medieval European practical art and style of costume is studied through referring to the literatures. The type of clothing that was seen on tapestries arts and crafts paintings and wall paintings and appeared in the architecture such as church. There were symbolic aspects of color motifs at this period and some restraints for clothing according to the social class, It was a period that draped garments due to the War of Crusades is appeared. Be-cause the medieval taste and decorative character is not only 'formative art' but also the taste beyoud 'mode' and atomsphere of that times it could be seen the strong reflec-tion of customs in the clothing of that times which is shown in works of art. 1) The purpose of Christian art which was found in mosaics stained glasses wall pain-tings and statues of architecture was not just the revival of natural phenomena but visuali-zation of sacred and invisible things.
