n-6/n-3 비율과 P/S 비율을 변화시킨 식이지방이 나이가 다른 흰쥐의 체내 지방대사에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of n-6/n-3 and P/S Ratio of Dietary Lipid on Lipid Metabolism of Rats at Different Age)

  • The effects of age and dietary fatty acid composition on lipid metabolism were investigated in Sprague-Dawley strain male rats. These animals weighing 88.6$\pm$2.2g were fed 10% dietary fat(W/W, 20% of total energy) with 0.5, 1, 2 P/S ratio and in each P/S ratio there were three different levels of n-6/n-3 fatty acid ratio ; 2, 4, 8. The experimental period was 1 month, 6 months and 12 months. The results of this study were as follows. The body weight of rats increased rapidly for the first two months, then increased slowly until 7 to 8 months. After 10 months of dietary regimen their weight decreased. The weight of liver, kidney and epidydimal fat pad increased along with the body weight and then decreased in the 12 months. Plasma total lipid increased with age and it decreased significantly when P/S ratio of dietary fatty acid was high. In creased with age and it decreased significantly when P/S ratio of dietary fatty acid was high. In creasing n-3 fatty acid intake in each P/S ratio resulted in lower plasma total lipid although was not statistically significant. The amount of plasma total cholesterol increased at 6 months, but decreased at 12 months. In case of 1, 12 months, increasing P/S ratio significantly plasma total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol were decreased and hepatic cholesterol was increased, VLDL-HDL-cholesterol did not changed. The n-6/n-3 ratio did not affect any of theses. The amount of plasma triglyceride and VLDL-triglyceride increased at 6 month then decreased. When the rats consumed higher amount of n-3 fatty acid in each P/S ratio, their plasma triglyceride and hepatic triglyceride increased at 1, 12months.

종류가 다른 식용유지에 첨가된 고DHA(Docosahexaenoic Acid) 어유가 흰쥐의 지질대사에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Docosahexanoic Acid-Rich Fish oil Added to Different Dietary Fats on Lipid Metabolism in Rat)

  • This study was undertaken to elucidate the effect of DHA-rich fish oil (DHA-rich oil) added to different dietary fats on lipid metabolism. Rats were fed perilla oil, sesame oil and beef tallow with or without DHA-rich oil for 12 weeks. The weight gain was higher in groups with DHA-rich oil than that of groups without DHA-rich oil, with DHA-rich oil, while weight of epididymal fat pad was lower in perilla oil and beef tallow groups with DHA-rich oil. The contents of total lipid and triglyceride in plasma were not affected by dietary fat types, but that of total and HDL cholesterol in plasma were higher in sesame oil group than perilla oil and beef tallow groups without DHA-rich oil. The contents of total lipid, triglyceride, total cholesterol, HDL cholestrol and LDL cholesterol in plasma were decreased by DHL-rich oil addition. The contents of total lipid, total cholesterol and triglyceride in the liver were not affected by dietary fat type. The contents of total cholesterol and triglyceride in the liver were not affected by dietary fat type. The contents of total lipid and TG in liver were not affected by DHA-rich oil addition while hepatic cholesterol increased by DHA-rich oil addition. The activities of glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase and malic enzyme were highest in beef tallow group without DHA-rich oil and decreased by DHA-rich oil addition. Peroxisomal ${\beta}$-oxidation had an inverse relationship against the activities of lipogenic enzymes. In conclusion, dietary DHA-rich oil decreased fat accumulation and had hypolipidemic effect, especially in beef tallow group. Also groups with DHA-rich oil showed more hypolipidemic effect than perilla oil group. And DHA-rich oil addition to diets resulted in increasing dietary n-3/n-6 ratio. Therefore increase in n-3/n-6 ratio as well as dietary DHA were considered to be responsible for the hypolipidemic effect resulted from DHA-rich oil addition.

홍삼류의 섭취가 비만과 혈중 지질의 상호관계에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Intaking of Red Ginseng Products on Correlationship between Obesity and Blood Lipids)

  • 비만은 동맥경화의 위험인자로서 혈중에 triglyceride의 농도를 증가시키고, 상대적으로 HDL-Cholesterol의 농도를 감소시킴과 동시에 수축기 혈압을 상승시킨다. 본 연구에서 홍삼제품류를 4년 또는 5년 동안 복용해 온 건강한 사람 (ginseng군)과 홍삼제품을 복용하지 않은 건강한 사람 (control군)을 대상으로 하여 신체 계측치로부터 비만지수를 구하고 이것과 혈중의 triglyceride (TG) 농도, TG/HDL-Cholesterol ratio 및 수축기 혈압과의 상호관계를 연구한 바, ginseng군에서는 대조군에 비해 혈중의 TG 농도가 일정하게 유지되었고, TG/HDL-Cholesterol ratio 및 수축기 혈압도 일정하게 유지되었다. 이러한 현상은 ginseng군에서 기호품으로 alcohol을 섭취하거나, 흡연을 한 경우에도 상관없이 일정하게 유지되었다. 이 결과는 홍삼제품류를 장기 복용하면 비만의 저하 및 고혈압 또는 동맥경화의 위험인자가 억제될 수 있고, 결론적으로 비만, 고혈압 및 동맥경화를 예방할 수 있을 것으로 추정한다.

장년기 여성에서 칼슘영양상태와 건강상태가 혈중 지질성분에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Calcium Intake and Health Status on Blood Lipids in Middle - aged Women)

  • The purpose of this study was to confirm that calcium intake and healthy status play a role in reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, to assure that calcium intake and regular exercise are important in reducing serum lipid levels in middle-aged women. Daily nutrient intakes were analyzed by convenient method. Anthropometric measurement such as body weight and height and blood pressure were measured. The subjects divided into two groups : women in group I under 50 years of age($\leq$49 yr group) and those in group II 50 years up($\geq$50 yr group). Average ages of group I and II were 43.87 and 53.46 years. The nutrients intake of subjects were higher than Korean recommended dietary allowances(KRDA) except calorie, iron, calcium, vitamin B1. They showed significant difference each other in vitamin B2(p<0.05), calcium(p<0.01) intake. Mean daily calcium intake was 540.88mg in $\leq$49 yr group and 519.50mg in $\geq$50 yr group. The levels of serum cholesterol, triglyceride, blood pressure, Atherogenic Index(AI), LDL/HDL and Cardiac Index(CI) were increased with age. The triglyceride and total cholesterol concentrations and LDL/HDL in $\geq$50 yr group were significantly higher than those of $\leq$49 yr group. There was a highly significantly positive correlation between age and triglyceride, total cholesterol and Atherogenic Index(AI). Triglyceride, total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol concentration and Atherogenic Index(AI) were positively correlated with body weight and WHR(waist-hip ratio). Also ther was a significantly negative correlation between exercise and Cardiac Index(CI). Also a significantly negative correlation was found between Ca intake and LDL-cholesterol. Exercise and Cardiac Index(CI) also had a significantly negative relation. The results suggest that increased habitual physical activity and calcium intake should be recommended as a way of decreasing blood lipids and blood pressure in middle-aged women.

불포화도가 다른 유지가 단식과 정상식이 흰쥐의 체중 및 간대사에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Various Fat and Oil Types on Weight Gain and Liver Metabolism in Fasting or Normal Diet Rats)

  • 단식 또는 기초사료를 투여한 성장기 rat 에 우지 또는 들깨유를 매일 일정량 투여하여 2일 간격으로 체중변화와 장기중량, 혈액의 생화학적검사 간조직검사를하여 다음의 결론을 얻었다. 완전 단식rat군(F)과 단식중 우지 (FT)와 들깨유(FP)를 투여한 rat군은 1일 평균 -6.2~-4.0%인 체중감소를 보이고 기초식이군 (B) 또는 기초식이에 우지 (BT)나 들깨유(BP)를 투여한 rat군은 1일 2.3~4.0%의 체중증가를 보였다. F군은 4일만에 모두 아사하였고, FT와 FP군은 6~10일 사이에 모두 아사하였다. 단식에 의한 영향으로 아사직전 이들 rat는 간중량(3.6~4.0g) serum cholesterol(70~73.2mg/㎗), serum triglyceride (6.5~7..5mg/㎗) blood glucose (76-91mg/㎗)의 현저한 감소와 GPT (117.5-186.5u), blood urea nitrogen (38~65mg/㎗)을 대폭 증가하는 특징을 가졌다. 유지시료 불포화도에 따른 영향에서 FP군은 FT군에 비해 약 2일 정도 생존일수의 감축과 serum cholesterol, serum triglyceride, blood urea nitrogen 감소를 보이나 GPT, blood glucose를 약간 증가하였다. BP군은 BT군에 비해 serum cholesterol, triglyceride를 상당히 감소하고 blood urea nitrogen의 근소한 감소와 GPT는 대폭 증가하였다. Blood glucose는 거의 차이가 없었다. 간조직 검사 결과 F군은 아사직전 간실질내 염증 세포 침윤을 보이고 FT, FP군은 유지 시료의 불포화도 차이에 관계없이 아사직전 일부 rat가 염증세포 침윤, 간실질의 염증, 간세포의 손상된 모양이 관찰되었다. 따라서 어떤 목적으로 단식 또는 유지만을 공급하는 무단백질 제한식이를 할 때 극심한 체중감소를 보이고 혈중 cholesterol과 trig1yceride는 크게 낮아지며 간을 포함한 모든 조직의 붕괴의 조짐으로 blood urea nitrogen이 크게 증가되고 그에 따른 간기능저하로 GPT도 크게 상승하고 rat의 경우 4~6일만에 사망하였다. 단식중이거나 혹은 정상식이내 고도 불포화 유지 (들깨유)의 섭취는 포화지방 (우지)에비해 혈중 cholesterol 과 triglyceride를 감소시키는 효과는 있지만 GPT가 유의적으로 증가됨을 볼때 장기간 고도 불포화 유지를 다량 섭취함은 간기능을 저하 시킬 수 있음이 나타났다.

결명자 에탄올 추출물이 고콜레스테롤 식이를 섭취한 흰쥐의 체내 지질함량에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Cassia tora Ethanol Extract on the Lipid Levels of Serum and Liver in Rats Fed High Cholesterol Diet)

  • 결명자의 에탄올 추출물이 고콜레스테롤 식이를 섭취한 횐쥐의 체내 지질함량에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 정상식이군, 고콜레스테롤 대조군, 고콜레스테롤 식이에 결명자 에탄올 추출물을 각각 0.25%와 0.5%씩 첨가하여 공급하는 실험군으로 나누어 4주간 사육한 후 혈청 및 간장의 지질 함량, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase와 malic enzyme 활성변화, 혈청 AST, ALT활성 및 지질과산화물의 함량의 변화를 조사하였다. 체중증가량과 식이섭취량은 추출물을 공급한 실험군에서 높았으나, 식이효율은 각 군간 차이가 없었다. 결명자 추출물군의 혈청 총콜레스테롤, 유리콜레스테롤, 중성지방 및 유리지방산 함량은 대조군에 비하여 감소하는 경향이었다. 간장중의 총 콜레스테롤과 중성지방의 함량은 고콜레스테롤 식이에 의하여 유의하게 증가하였으나 결명자 추출물을 첨가함으로서 증가된 간장 지질함량은 유의하게 감소하였다. 간장의 glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase와 magic enzyme 활성 을 측정한 결과, 결명자 추출물군에서는 대조군에 비하여 활성이 유의하게 감소하였으며, 추 출물의 첨가농도가 높을수록 현저하였다. ALT, AST 활성 역시 결명자 추출물군은 고콜레스테롤 대조군에 비하여 감소하는 경향이었고, 간장 조직중의 지질과산화물 함량도 결명자 추출물을 첨가함에 따라 통계적 유의차는 없었으나 감소하는 경향이었다.

흰쥐의 혈중 콜레스테롤 및 HDL-콜레스테롤 함량에 미치는 Clotrimazole의 영향에 관한 연구 (Influences of Clotrimazole on the Blood Cholesterol and HDL-Cholesterol level in Rats)

  • Influences of clotrimazole on the blood cholesterol and HDL-cholesterol level were studied in rats. Rats were provided food and water ad libitum and clotrimazole and methylcellulose were gavaged for 6 days. Clotrimazole was suspended in 1% methylcellulose solution as and administered at concentration 20mg/Kg, 40mg/Kg, 60mg/Kg. Body weight gain and liver weight/body weight ratio, serum cholesterol level, serum HDL-cholesterol level, serum triglyceride level, the activity of cytochrome p450 and erythromycin demethylase were determined at 6th day. Clotrimazole decreased the body weight gain a little as compared with control group and did not show any influence on liver weight/body weight ratio. Clotrimazole increased the serum HDL-cholesterol and serum triglyceride level significantly. Clotrimazole increased the microsomal cytochrome P450 significantly and increased the erythromycin demethylase (cytochrome P450 IIIA) significantly too. It might be conclued that clotrimazole showed a little influence on body weight and increased the serum lipid, especially HDL-cholesterol level. It also increased microsomal cytochrome P450 IIIA significantly. It might be concluded that clotrimazole showed a corelative influence between HDL-cholesterol and cytochrome P450 IIIA. In these results clotrimazole can be used as an anti-atherosclerotic agent by increasing the HDL-cholesterol but it is necessary that cloreimazole will show any adverse or side action on body or not.

유산소성 운동이 콜레스테롤식이 흰쥐의 혈청지질에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Aerobic Exercise on Serum Lipid in Cholesterol-Dietary Rats)

  • 본 연구는 생후 4주령의 Sprague Dawley 흰쥐 47마리를 대상으로 2% 콜레스테롤 식이와 정상식이 그리고 여러가지 강도의 유산소운동(트래드밀 런닝)과 비운동을 실시하여 혈청지질과 adipose tissue를 분석해서 다음과 같은 경과를 얻었다. 1. 콜레스테롤식이에 의해 형중T-C치가 유의하게 증가되었으나 유산소성운동에 의해 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 2. 콜레스테롤식이에 의해 혈중 HDL-C와 LDL이 약간 증가야였으나, 유산소성운동에 의해 모두 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. LDL/HDL-C는 간한 운동을 한 CRA군에서만 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 3. 콜레스테롤식이에 의해 혈액중의 phospholipid 및 triglyceride는 감소하는 경향을 나태내었으나, 유산소성운동에 의해 약간 증가하는 경향을 나태내었다. 4. 정상식이군에서 유산소성운동에 의해 adipose tissue가 유의하게 감소되었으며, 콜레스테롤 식이군에서도 유산소성운동에 의해 adipdse tissue가 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 이상과 같은 연구결과를 통하여 유산소성운동이 콜레스테롤식이에 의해 증가도니 혈중 총콜레스테롤을 저하시키며, 동백경과 위험인자인 LDL은 낮추어 동맥경화성 질병을 예방할 것으로 사료된다.

귀비탕가미방(歸脾湯加味方)이 고혈압(高血壓) 및 고지혈증(高脂血症)에 미치는 영향(影響) (Experimental study on the effects of Guibitanggamibang on blood pressure and hyperlipidemia)

  • In order to study the effects of Guibitanggamibang on blood pressure and hyperlipidemia, experimental study were performed on hypertension in normal and SHR rats, and on hyperlipidemia induced by Triton WR-1339 in normal rats. Also the level of total cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL-cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, phospholipid and transaminase(GOT, GPT) were measured. The results are summarized as follows: 1. After Guibitanggamibang was given to normal rats, the results showed that inhibitory effects on blood pressure and heart beat were not statistically significant. 2. After Guibitanggamibang was given to SHR rats, the results showed that inhibitory effects on blood pressure were statistically significant. 3. In the model of hyperlipidemia induced by 2% cholesterol food, Guibitanggarrubang had significantly-decreasing effects on total cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL-cholesterol, LDL-choleste rol, Transaminase(GOT, GPT) level in serum. 4. In the model of hyperlipidemia induced by Triton WR-1339, Guibitanggamibang had significantly-decreasing effects on total cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL-cholesterol, phospholipid, Transaminase(GOT, GPT) level in serum. 5. In the model of hyperlipidemia induced by Triton WR-1339, Guibitanggamibang had no significant effects on HDL-cholesterol level in serum. These results show that Guibitanggamibang(歸脾湯加味方) has significant inhibitory effects on blood pressure and hyperlipidemia and that it could be clinically applied for hypertension and hyperlipidemia.

Antihyperglycemic and lipid lowering effect of Tectona grandis in alloxan induced diabetic rats

  • In India, Tectona grandis is traditionally used in the treatment of diabetes mellitus and lipid disorder. In the present study, the antihyperglycemic and lipid lowering effect of ethanolic extract of bark of Tectona grandis (TG) was evaluated using alloxan induced diabetes in rats. Alloxan was given at the dose of 140 mg/kg, i.p. After induction of diabetes, TG was administered for 42 days p. o. and simultaneously different biochemical parameters like plasma glucose, liver glycogen content, serum triglyceride, cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol and HDL-cholesterol were estimated. Diabetic control showed significant increase (P < 0.01) in plasma glucose, serum triglyceride, cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol and significant decrease (P < 0.01) in serum HDL-cholesterol and liver glycogen content. Treatment with TG showed significant reduction (P < 0.01) in plasma glucose when compared with diabetic control. The elevated levels of serum triglyceride and cholesterol levels were significantly reduced (P < 0.01) by TG. TG treatment for 42 days showed significant decrease in serum LDL-cholesterol (P < 0.01) and significant increase in serum HDL-cholesterol level (P < 0.01). Moreover, diabetic control there was significant decrease in liver glycogen content which was significantly increased (P < 0.05) by treatment with TG. Hence, from the result obtained in the present study it can be concluded that Tectona grandis has the potential to treat diabetes condition and associated lipid disorder.
