  • In Korea the musical was granted very close an art however recently it is rapidly take the position a new trend of the mass culture industry with some of promoted lifestyle due to increased income and with spreading consumer culture of well-being. This study is to consider the musical as a way of OMSU to observe how to produce the musical the with the original one that recorded as the best animation program with highly broadcasting rate as it is broadcasted on TV. It is belongs to a category of musical or a performance, has a good feature of children's program with arranging the broadcasting. Through this study, developing performance art to OSMU, it wishes to utilize people that produce the performance applying the contents of animations and cartoons, to make value added This study is for presenting an effective way of OSMU, with studying and researching the production process of the musical . The original source the cartoon and animation is transferred to a musical with a technical feature of digital audio-visual, with characterizing to an attractive musical characters from the original characters, and with humorize twisted story structure based on the basic storyline.

A STUDY ON THE CHILD PATIENT'S PREFERENCE TOWARD DENTIST'S ATTIRE (소아환자의 치과의사 복장에 대한 선호도 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to find a method for improving the children's behavior during dental treatment in relation with dentist's attire. For this study 150 children, visiting a dental clinic, were asked to participate in a survey on the attire of the dentist. The results of the survey were as follows: 1. In the survey for the preference between gown and ordinary clothes according to sex(P<0.05), age(P<0.05), residence (P<0.05) and number of visits(P<0.05), there was more preference for gown(65.3%). 2. The preference for the type of gown and attire under the gown was a long gown and white shirt (30.7%), followed by a suit-like gown (18.7%) and white shirt, and long gown and polo shirt(17.3%). 3. The preference for the color of gown was white(34.7%), followed by pink (18.7%), green(18.0%), blue(15.3%) and yellow(13.3%). 4. The preference for the pattern on the gown was cartoon characters(49.3%), followed by hospital logo(28.7%) and no pattern(14.7%). 5. The preference for ordinary clothes of female dentists was polo shirt(37.3%), followed by striped shirt(28.7%), round T-shirt(18.7%), and everyday Korean traditional dress(15.3%). 6. The preference for ordinary clothes of male dentists was pattern necktie and no pattern Y-shirt(28.0%), followed by no pattern necktie and Y-shirt(21.3%) or pattern shirt with no necktie, and no pattern Y-shirt with no necktie(14.7%). 7. The preference on the protective equipment worn was mask and glove(28.7%), followed by no protective equipment(26.7%), mask, glove and protective glasses(22.7%) at)d only mask(22.0%). Based on the above results, it seems that parting with the traditional white gown and wearing multi-color and pattern attire will provide psychological stability and help improve children's behavior during treatment.

A Study on How Reading Comic Books Affects Creativity (만화 읽기가 창의력 향상에 미치는 연구)

  • This study is intended to reveal reading comic books helps improve creativity. Though the long-lasting negative recognition towards comic books has positively changed these days, we need a ground upon which the social recognition needs improvement in that children's comic books have been used as a learning tool. Its introduction points out that there has been shortage of empirical researches on comic book reading, and as one of the empirical research methods, presents a method of comparative analysis on comic book reading, school study, and creativity tests via survey. The theoretical background in the 2nd chapter, first, puts emphasis on the significance of the creativity theory among all the other theories related to creativity, which focuses on problem-solving capacity. Second, it theoretically reviews the meaning which 'fun' and 'interest' have in development of creativity in the context of developmental process of the modern educational theories. Third, it empathizes that traits of reading comic books start off with 'fun' and 'interest', that awareness of reality gets expanded via the process of characters making their way through a strange world with empathy and absorption, and that comic book reading has to do with creativity. Fourth, it presents a model questionnaire with which to study relationship between comic books and creativity in an empirical way. The analysis on the survey outcome in the 3rd chapter shows, first, that smart students read many comic books, not to mention that studying helps improve creativity, which indicates above all, comic book reading and improvement of creativity are not negatively related, but are mutually complementary. Second, that creativity enhanced by reading comic books is higher than that enhanced by studying, which may mean comic book reading is more effective than studying in developing creativity. It has drawn a conclusion based upon these results, that reading comic books bears positive efficacy on both studying and developing creativity. Standing on this conclusion, it proposes it necessary to develop methods by grades of educating how to read comic books and to provide a recommended list of comic books to read.
