  • Novel aromatic imine derivatives with yellow were designed and synthesized for their potential application in color filters for image sensors. The synthesized compounds possessed chemical structures using aromatic imine groups. This innovative material was evaluated thoroughly, considering its optical and thermal properties under conditions similar to commercial device manufacturing processes. Following a rigorous performance evaluation, it was found that (E)-3-methyl-4-((3-methyl-5-oxo-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-4(5H)-ylidene)methyl)-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-5(4H)-one, abbreviated as MOPMPO, exhibited an impressive solubility of 0.5 wt% in propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate, predominantly utilized as the solvent in the industry. Furthermore, MOPMPO showed exceptional performance as a color filter material for image sensors, having a high decomposition temperature of 290 ℃. These data unequivocally establish MOPMPO as a viable yellow dye additive for coloring materials in image sensor applications.

  • Unexpectedly, the brightest row was known to represents the lowest lying Te atoms in the STM image of NbTe2. Projected density of states and crystal orbital overlap population show that the 5pz orbital of the lowest lying Te(2) atom doe s not interact with the 4d orbital of Nb strongly so that the 5pz band remains in the vicinity of the Fermi energy. Consequently the lowest lying Te(2) atoms contribute higher electron density near the Fermi energy which in turn exhibits brightest image in the STM experiments.

  • Textile fabrication affected by consumer and selected by fashion designer. The textile fabrication has been made not only by introducing the newly developed fiber but also by modifying the existing textile materials to impart sensibility to them. Consumers choose but to their sensibility of textile material and fashion trend. On purpose in this research is find out have influence on textile image. Wool fabrics have been in use from early age in northern Europe. Recognition of the role of the morphological structure, surface properties, chemical composition, acid-base characteristics in the chemical treatment of wool led to quantum advances in the fields of setting, shrink-resisting, chemical modification, and internal fiber cross-linking. Mechanical finishing to develop the handle, drape, and surface characteristics of the fabric is at least as important as chemical or wet finishing. Result showed that to have variety sensibility and trend theme in wool fabrics are tweed, venetian, serge, gabardine and melton.

  • An image analysis-based soft sensor is designed and applied to automatic quality classification of product appearance with color-textural characteristics. In this work, multiresolutional multivariate image analysis (MR-MIA) is used in order to analyze product images with color as well as texture. Fisher's discriminant analysis (FDA) is also used as a supervised learning method for automatic classification. The use of FDA, one of latent variable methods, enables us not only to classify products appearance into distinct classes, but also to numerically and consistently estimate product appearance with continuous variations and to analyze characteristics of appearance. This approach is successfully applied to automatic quality classification of intermediate and final products in industrial manufacturing of engineered stone countertops.

  • This paper investigates circularity of fly ashes using the digital image processing. Fly ashes directly collect from electrostatic precipitator when the load of conditions of boiler are changed at a coal-fired power plant. Circularity measurement can be accomplished in five steps: ① image acquisition, ② grey image processing, ③ detection the component to measure ④ binary image processing ⑤ feature measurement. The mean circularity of fly ashes is in the range of 0.78 to 0.83. fly ashes collected from the same hopper has similar circularity regardless of the load of boiler and circularity increases as going from the 1st hopper to 3rd one, namely as particle size become finer.

  • In recent years, big data analysis has been expanded to include automatic control through reinforcement learning as well as prediction through modeling. Research on the utilization of image data is actively carried out in various industrial fields such as chemical, manufacturing, agriculture, and bio-industry. In this paper, we applied NASNet, which is an AutoML reinforced learning algorithm, to DeepU-Net neural network that modified U-Net to improve image semantic segmentation performance. We used BRATS2015 MRI data for performance verification. Simulation results show that DeepU-Net has more performance than the U-Net neural network. In order to improve the image segmentation performance, remove dropouts that are typically applied to neural networks, when the number of kernels and filters obtained through reinforcement learning in DeepU-Net was selected as a hyperparameter of neural network. The results show that the training accuracy is 0.5% and the verification accuracy is 0.3% better than DeepU-Net. The results of this study can be applied to various fields such as MRI brain imaging diagnosis, thermal imaging camera abnormality diagnosis, Nondestructive inspection diagnosis, chemical leakage monitoring, and monitoring forest fire through CCTV.

  • The photosensitivity enhancement of photoresist achieved by the addition of acid amplifiers stems from the autocatalytic decomposition of the acid amplifiers triggered by acidic species generated from a photoacid gen-erator. In this research we synthesized and evaluated 4-hydroxy-4'-p-styrenesulfonyloxy isopropylidene dicyclohex-ane(1), 4,4'-di-p-styrenesulfonyloxy isopropylidene dicyclohexane(2) and 4-p-styrenesulfonyloxy-4'-tosyloxy isopropylidene dicyclohexane(3) as novel acid amplifiers. These acid amplifiers(1-3) showed reasonable thermal stability for resist pro-cessing temperature. As estimated by the sensitivity curve, 1-3 were 2X-12X sensitive than poly(tert-butyl meth-acrylate) film in the presence of a photoacid generator and, therefore, provides practical applicability for photoimaging.

  • Despite increasing importance of in vitro cell-based assays for the assessment of nanoparticles (NPs) cytotoxicity, their suitability for the assessment of NPs toxicity is still in doubt. Here, limitations of widely used cell viability assay protocol (i.e., MTT asssay) for the cytotoxicity assessment of P25 $TiO_2$ NPs were carefully examined and an alternative toxicity assessment method to overcome these limitations was proposed, where the artifacts caused by extracellularly formed formazan and light scattered by agglomerated NPs were minimized by measuring only the intracellular formazan via image cytometric methods.

  • Ab initio periodic Hartree-Fock calculations with the full potential and minimum basis set are applied to interpretation of scanning tunneling microscope (STM) and atomic force microscope (AFM) images on 1TVTe2. Our results show that the simulated STM image shows asymmetry while the simulated AFM image shows the circular electron densities at the bright spots without asymmetry of electron density to agree with the experimental AFM image. The bright spots of both the STM and AFM images of VTe2 are associated with the surface Te atoms, while the patterns of bright spots of STM and AFM images are different.
