Preparation and Characterization of Polyurethane Waterproof Coatings Containing Fly Ash

  • 국내에서 폴리우레탄 방수 코팅은 노후된 건축물의 지붕 수리와 다양한 스포츠시설의 시공으로 인하여 수요가 증가되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 일반적으로 많이 사용되고 있는 탄산칼슘 충진제의 일부를 비산재로 대체하여 폴리우레탄 코팅을 제조하였다. Cyclone과 Bag filter에서 수집된 비산재가 대체할 수 있는 탄산칼슘의 최대량은 각각 20%와 10%로 결정되었다. 폴리우레탄의 경화속도는 Pb-octoate 촉매를 사용하여 조절할 수 있었다. 코팅의 제조에 사용되는 성분들의 상대적인 양을 조절하면, 비산재를 함유하는 폴리우레탄 코팅의 인장강도, 인열강도 및 신장율 등이 폴리우레탄 코팅의 표준 값들과 유사하게 되었다. 그러나 bag filter에서 수집된 비산재를 사용할 경우에는, 제조된 폴리우레탄 코팅으로부터 카드뮴(Cd), 수은(Hg) 및 납(Pb)이 허용 수치보다 높게 용출되었다. 한편, cyclone으로부터 수집된 비산재를 사용해서 제조한 폴리우레탄 코팅은 더 우수한 기계적 특성을 보였으며 중금속의 용출양도 심각하지 않았다. 결론적으로, 적당한 비산재를 선정하여 사용한다면, 비산재 함유 폴리우레탄 코팅도 현장에서 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • Mankind is enjoying a great convenience of their life by the rapid growth of secondary industry since the Industrial Revolution and it is possible due to the invention of huge power such as engine. The automobile which plays the important role of industrial development and human movement is powered by the Engine Module, and especially Diesel engine is widely used because of mechanical durability and energy efficiency. The main work mechanism of the Diesel engine is composed of inhalation of the organic material (coal, oil, etc.), combustion, explosion and exhaust Cycle process then the carbon compound emissions during the last exhaust process are essential which is known as the major causes of air pollution issues in recent years. In particular, COx, called carbon oxide compound which is composed of a very small size of the particles from several ten to hundred nano meter and they exist as a suspension in the atmosphere. These Diesel particles can be accumulated at the respiratory organs and cause many serious diseases. In order to compensate for the weak point of such a Diesel Engine, the DPF(Diesel Particulate Filter) post-cleaning equipment has been used and it mainly consists of ceramic materials(SiC, Cordierite etc) because of the necessity for the engine system durability on the exposure of high temperature, high pressure and chemical harsh environmental. Ceramic Material filter, but it remains a lot of problems yet, such as limitations of collecting very small particles below micro size, high cost due to difficulties of manufacturing process and low fuel consumption efficiency due to back pressure increase by the small pore structure. This study is to test the possibility of new structure by direct infiltration of SiC Whisker on Carbon felt as the next generation filter and this new filter is expected to improve the above various problems of the Ceramic DPF currently in use and reduction of the cost simultaneously. In this experiment, non-catalytic VS CVD (Vapor-Solid Chemical Vaporized Deposition) system was adopted to keep high mechanical properties of SiC and MTS (Methyl-Trichloro-Silane) gas used as source and H2 gas used as dilute gas. From this, the suitable whisker growth for high performance filter was observed depending on each deposition conditions change (input gas ratio, temperature, mass flow rate etc.).

  • 본 연구에서는 SBFC의 기본 성능을 분석하고, 페이스트 및 모르터에서의 공학적 특성을 검토하여, 향후 경제적인 조강콘크리트 개발을 위한 방안으로 활용하고자 하였다. 실험결과 SBFC의 우수한 조기강도 발현 성능을 확인 할 수 있었고, 유동성을 고려했을 때 OPC와 SBFC와의 적정 혼입율을 도출하여 사용하는 것이 바람직 할 것으로 판단된다.

CMP 공정의 설비요소가 공정 결함에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Various Facility Factors on CMP Process Defects)

  • Chemical mechanical Polishing (CMP) process is widely used for the global planarization of inter-metal dielectric (IMD) layer and inter-layer dielectric (ILD) for deep sub-micron technology. However, as the IMD and ILD layer gets thinner, defects such as micro-scratch lead to severe circuit failure, which affect yield. In this paper, for the improvement of CMP process, deionized water (DIW) pressure, purified $N_2$ ($PN_2$) gas, point of use (POU) slurry filler and high spray bar (HSB) were installed. Our experimental results show that DW pressure and P$N_2$ gas factors were not related with removal rate, but edge hot-spot of patterned wafer had a serious relation. Also, the filter installation in CMP polisher could reduce defects after CMP process, it is shown that slurry filter plays an important role in determining consumable pad lifetime. The filter lifetime is dominated by the defects. However, the slurry filter is impossible to prevent defect-causing particles perfectly. Thus, we suggest that it is necessary to install the high spray bar of de-ionized water (DIW) with high pressure, to overcome the weak-point of slurry filter Finally, we could expect the improvements of throughput, yield and stability in the ULSI fabrication process.

  • IGCC 파일럿 플랜트의 집진시스템을 최적 설계하기 위하여 수치해석을 수행하였다. 서로 다른 가스 유입 방식이 집진용기 내부의 유체 유동장과 입자 거동에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 필터 표면에 전달되는 입자의 부하율은 분진입자가 혼합된 가스가 내부에 차단관이 설치된 집진용기의 외벽에 접하게 설치된 접선 유입구를 따라 집진용기 내로 유입되는 경우 아주 낮았으며, 입자크기가 클수록 입자부하율은 급격히 감소하였다. 이에 반하여, 가스 유동이 집진용기의 필터지지판 중앙에 수직하게 설치된 수직 유입구를 통하여 집진용기 내로 유입되는 경우, 필터 표면으로의 입자 부하율이 아주 높았으며, 입자크기 증가에 따른 입자부하율의 감소는 접선 유입 방식에 비하여 크지 않았다.

  • Biological methods are frequently used for treatment of contaminated air, containing volatile organic compounds and odor compounds in low concentrations and high flow rate of air streams. For more than 20 years. biofilter has been recognized as a cost effective technology for the purification of contaminated air. Most commercial applications before 1990 were for control of odors. In the past decades major progress has been accomplished in the development of vapor phase bioreactor. in particular biotrickling filers. Biotrickling filters are more complex than biofilters. but are usually more effective, especially for the treatment of compounds which are difficult to degrade or compounds that generate acidic by-products. While the level of understanding of biotrickling filtration process for VOCs still remains limited. the evidence success of biotreatment of VOC in air resulted in pursuing active research. This paper presents fundamental and practical aspert of VOCs treatment from air in biotrickling filter. Special emphasis is given to the operating parameters and the factors influencing performance for biotrickling filter.
