연료전지 블로워의 유로 크기에 따른 소비전력과 소음저감 방법 (Reduction of Noise and Input Power in Fuel Cell Blower by Controlling Flow Path)

  • This paper describes performance enhancement of a fuel cell's blower by controlling flow path. Different duct diameter at the inlet and outlet of the blower is selected for reducing blower noise level and input power. Hole diameter and the number of hole at the check valve are tested to reduce the input power of the blower. Two types of blower, fuel pressurized blower and cathode blower, are considered in the present study. Throughout experimental measurements of the test blowers, it is found that duct diameter is effective to reduce noise level and input power in the fuel cell blower. Noise reduction due to the optimal duct diameter at the outlet is more effective when flow rate is relatively large. That is, cathode blower has larger noise reduction compared to fuel pressurized blower because of larger flower rate. Input power of the blower can be reduced by controlling the hole diameter and the number of hole at the check valve.

  • Auxiliary port which had been known to be used to reduce the expansion loss of a refrigeration system was applied to a R134a reciprocating compressor in a household refrigerator cycle with an intention of improving the compressor performance. Effects of the auxiliary port on the compressor performance was investigated by a computer simulation program. When a simple hole was made on the side wall of the cylinder as an auxiliary port and surrounding gas inside the compressor shell was assumed to be drawn into the cylinder through the hole, maximum COP improvement of 1.66% was obtained. With auxiliary port equipped with a plate type of check valve, maximum COP was raised to be 1.99%. COP improvement was more distinctive with decreasing the discharge pressure; COP improvement was 5% with discharge pressure of 7 bar.

  • In this study, to check up on the effect of the components of cutting resistance upon friction between drill and inside wall of hole in drilling, the experiment was performed with individual specimen of carbon steel, cast iron, aluminium alloy under various cutting conditions: depth of hole, cutting speed, feed rate, shape and material of specimen. On the basis of the experimental results, the following conclusions are drawn; 1. The components of cutting resis- tance were increased in proportion to the increase of depth of hole owing to frictional resistance of drill margin and chip-jamming. 2. As feed rates increase, torque and thrust were increased. When comparing to the increasing rate for these components respecitively, thrust is higher tendency than torque. 3. As drill diameter increase, torque and thrust were increased. When comparing to the increasing rate for these components respectively, torque is higher tendency than thrust. 4. In the case of torque, the frictional resistance between drill margin and inside wall of drilled hole accounts for about 20 percent of carbon steel, 14 of cast iron, 10 aluminium alloy in drilling. But the effect of thrust force could be negligible. 5. Comparison between the theoretical and experimental results showed a close agreement so far as depth of hole is about three times of drill diameter. But there was a wide difference between them beyond the rane of three times, because of characteristics of the drilling process.

  • When a new nuclear fuel is developed, an irradiation test needs to be carried out in the research reactor to analyze the performance of the new nuclear fuel. In order to check the performance of a nuclear fuel during the irradiation test in the test loop of a research reactor, sensors need to be attached in and out of the fuel rod and connect them with instrumentation cables to the measuring device located outside of the reactor pool. In particular, to check the temporary temperature change at the center of a nuclear fuel during the irradiation test, a thermocouple should be instrumented at the center of the fuel rod. Therefore, a hole needs to be made at the center of fuel pellet to put in the thermocouple. However, because the hardness and the density of a sintered $UO_2$ pellet are very high, it is difficult to make a small fine hole on a sintered $UO_2$ pellet using a simple drilling machine even though we use a diamond drill bit made by electro deposition. In this study, an automated drilling machine using a CVD diamond drill has been developed to make a fine hole in a fuel pellet without changing tools or breakage of workpiece. A sintered alumina ($Al_2O_3$) block which has a higher hardness than a sintered $UO_2$ pellet is used as a test specimen. Then, it is verified that a precise hole can be drilled off without breakage of the drill bit in a short time.

  • An Experiment was carried out to study deburring in frilling hole on the Inclined exit surface. Two different deburring tools, exit surface angles, materials and cutting conditions were selected to check their performance using CNC machining center. In deburring operation, there are not only flat exit surfaces but also inclined exit surfaces which is described as inclination angle. Inclination of exit surface causes a quite different burr formation when comparing with flat surface. Deburring characteristics are analyzed according to the deburring tools and cutting conditions. Several strategies for a effective deburring on inclined exit surface were proposed.

  • 본 논문에서는 영상처리에 사용되는 Canny edge 검출 알고리즘 중 가장 높은 연산 복잡도를 가진 제곱근 연산 횟수를 감소시키는 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 기울기 벡터 연산 과정에 사용되는 제곱근 연산을 이용할 때 일부 픽셀에 특정한 규칙을 사용해 홀을 만들어 제곱근 연산을 직접 하지 않고 주변 픽셀들의 연속성을 이용하여 기울기 벡터를 계산하여 연산 횟수를 감소시킨다. 다양한 테스트 이미지를 이용해 실험한 결과 홀이 1개인 경우 약 97%, 홀을 증가시키면 각각 약 94%, 90%, 88%의 일치율을 보였고, 홀이 1개인 경우에는 0.2ms의 연산시간이 감소되었고, 홀을 증가시키면 각각 약 0.398ms 0.6ms, 0.8ms의 연산시간이 감소되었다. 이를 바탕으로 hole이 2개인 경우 높은 정확도와 연산 수 절감을 통해 저전력 임베디드 비전 시스템을 구현할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

가상 시점 영상 합성을 위한 방향성 고려 홀 채움 방법 (Consider the directional hole filling method for virtual view point synthesis)

  • 최근 깊이 영상 기반 합성 방법을 이용한 가상시점 합성 방법이 3차원 영상의 적용 분야에서 많이 사용되고 있다. 가상 시점 영상은 기존에 알고 있는 영상과 이와 관련된 깊이 영상 정보를 이용하여 카메라로 촬영 하지 않은 가상시점 영상을 생성하게 된다. 하지만 깊이 영상 기반 합성 방법을 이용해 가상시점 영상을 생성할 경우, 깊이 영상을 기반으로 합성하기 때문에 이미지 워핑 과정에서 폐색 영역이 발생하게 된다. 이러한 폐색 영역을 제거하기 위해 지금까지 다양한 홀 채움 방법들이 제안되어 왔다. 동일 색상영역 검색, 수평방향 보간 방법, 수평방향 보외 방법 그리고 다양한 인페인팅 방법들이 홀 채움 방법들로 제안되었다. 하지만 이러한 방법들을 사용하여 텍스쳐 영역의 홀을 제거할 경우 다른 종류의 간섭 현상이 발생하는 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 다양한 방향성을 고려한 홀 채움 방법을 새롭게 제안하여 확장된 홀 영역을 효율적으로 채우는 방법을 설명한다. 제안된 방법들은 복잡한 텍스쳐들이 있는 배경부분에서 발생하는 홀 영역을 채울 때 성능 효율성을 나타낸다. 방향성을 고려한 홀 채움 방법은 픽셀 단위로 홀 채움 영역 값을 측정하는 과정에서 홀 영역의 주변 텍스쳐 픽셀 값들을 사용하게 된다. 제안한 방법을 이용해 가상시점 영상 합성 결과 발생하는 홀 영역을 기존의 홀 채움 방법보다 보다 더 효율적으로 채울 수 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

WUF-W 접합부의 액세스 홀 형상변수 타당성 평가를 위한 경험식 제안 (Empirical Equations for Checking Validity of Access Hole Parameters for WUF-W Connections)

  • WUF-W 접합부는 부재의 접합이 모두 용접으로 이루어진 접합부이며, 특수모멘트골조(SMF) 인증접합부 중 하나이다. 하지만 선행 연구들을 통해 일부 WUF-W 접합부 실험체가 4% 층간변위비의 특수모멘트골조(SMF) 요구성능을 만족하지 못하였으며, 이는 액세스 홀 형상과 연관이 있음이 보고되었다. 본 연구에서는 비선형 유한요소 해석을 이용하여 WUF-W 접합부의 요구성능을 만족하기 위한 주요 액세스홀 형상변수의 허용범위를 결정하였다. 또한 WUF-W 접합부 설계과정에서 주요 액세스 홀 형상변수의 타당성을 평가할 수 있는 간단한 경험식을 제안하였다.

용접부 결함 검출에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Detection of Defects in Weldzone)

  • In this study, an automatic ultrasonic testing system is used to detect the defects of the natural flaw test specimen and of the artificial flaw test specimen. We evaluate the detection performance of the acceptance standard for the natural flaw test specimen and of the acceptance standard for the artificial flaw test specimen. We also study the potential problems of those acceptance standards. The results indicate that the acceptance standard for the detection of defects in weldzone is good then the sensitivity correction is performed and that we must clearly specify special check points of the acceptance standard for the system in use.
