  • The dominant trend in software development is the globalisation of the software industry. This development is faced with diverse problems, which require solution by the adoption of new processes and development techniques. eXtreme Programming (known as XP) is one methodology which is now at the leading edge of software development. This recent trend in XP allows organisation members to cooperate towards the development of new software independently of the existing developers. This is achieved functionally between the members by the development of distributed pair programming, this is not IDE plug-in shape of text, simple screen sharing or chatting function based.

  • In the process of software development, object-oriented framework enables directly improving the productivity of the developer through the reuse of code, analysis and design informations. object-oriented framework is a set of usable and expandable classes and their connectivity. It is a meta solution that contains the code to be reused in the framework and the expert design results on a specific area. This paper constructs the framework that extracts the common services of BBS, chatting, white board and ftp applications for internet-based remote education system. These services can be mostly reused within heterogeneous applications in the form of component.

  • Profiles are the most basic means of representing who you are, and you represent yourself. In SNS and chatting apps that use profiles the most, profiles are used to express their experiences, moods, and thoughts. However, in voice phishing, impersonation crimes, etc., they steal and impersonate a photo such as a profile, and then deceive the victim into committing a crime. In this paper, to prevent the crime of impersonation, the authenticity of the original is determined using NFT that can distinguish the original. Minting the original profile picture with NFT, registering it on the blockchain network, and storing the original file in off-chain IPFS. This is expected to be effective in preventing impersonation crimes because it is possible to easily determine the authenticity of the profile picture.

A Study on the Educational Effects of Interactive Cyber Home Study (상호작용적 사이버가정학습의 교육적 효과에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop MICHS(Models of Interactive Cyber Home Study) for effective cyber home study(CHS) and a prototype system to support realtime and non-realtime interaction tools such as chatting with users, to study a method to connect MICHS with selective curriculum, and to verify the educational effect of the model. MICHS consists of two models. One model is an educational system model, and another model is a teaching-learning model. The major results of this study are summarized as follows. In the viewpoint of learning achievement, there is no significant difference in achievement between the experimental group(33 leaners) and the comparative group(33 leaners), but this fact can be construed as the possibility that CHS is an alternative system of school education. The interests on CHS of learners in the experimental group were increased twice. This result means that the system of CHS for active interaction needs various and important interaction tools, and the educational vision of CHS. In the viewpoint of system operation, CHS needs higher system requirements such as 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet. If an old system can not process streaming services in request, it should be upgraded to a new system.

A Study on the Effectiveness of the Cyber Home Learning System (사이버가정학습 효과성에 대한 연구)

  • Recently the cyber home learning system is executed throughout the country as a part of educational policies to reduce expenditure on private education and to promote educational welfare for alienated classes. Thus, in order to examine the effectiveness of the cyber home learning system, we conducted an online questionnaire survey with elementary and secondary students, cyber teachers under the OO Office of Education. According to the results, overall satisfaction with the cyber home learning system and its effectiveness were found high. In addition, what were required for more effective the cyber home learning system were expanding the execution of unit school learning, strengthening teacher training, increasing incentives for cyber teachers, intensifying campaigns for the cyber home learning system, providing various types of information and contents of education, and activating learning activities such as community, message and chatting. This study is expected to be a steppingstone to the settlement of more effective the cyber home learning system.

  • In this paper, a VoIP (Voice on Internet Protocol) terminal system, which can process voice in real time based on Linux, is designed and implemented. The hardware of it is designed using a i486 processor and a DSP codec chip which encodes and decodes voice data in real time. As an operating system, RTLinux, which is a real-time operating system based on Linux, is ported to manage real-time voice processing. The voice processing module of the system uses G.723.1 voice codec of ITU-T standard. It transfers voice data within 30ms to assure good voice quality. In order to satisfy the real time requirements and QoS (Quality-of-Service) for the voice data, the real-time voice processing device driver is designed and implemented. To verify the system, the chatting application program is developed and tested for QoS of the system.

The Readiness of the University Hospital Employees for the Knowledge-based Management (대학병원 근로자의 지식경영 준비도에 관한 연구)

  • This study purports to investigate the readiness of the university hospital employees in the knowledge-based management. Data were collected from 550 employees including administrative, nursing, and technical staff of 9 university hospitals located in Seoul and Kyunggi Province through the self-administered questionnaires. The response rate was 79% and 425 questionnaires were used as final data and analyzed using 2 test, t-test, and ANOVA. The main findings of the study are as follows. 1) It seems that most employees of the study hospitals have basic knowledge on the concept of knowledge-based management. This finding implies that the implementation of the knowledge-based management in Korean university hospitals will not likely to face strong resistance from their employees. 2) The results show that Korean hospital employees are still not so accustomed to using e-mail as the main communication tool. This finding suggests that it is necessary to use various communication tools which include electronic data interchange, teleconference, and cyber chatting for facilitating the knowledge-based management in Korean university hospitals. 3) It is desirable to appoint a chief knowledge officer(CKO) for operating knowledge-based management system effectively. 4) A reward system for employees who show a distinguished performance in the creation and sharing of new knowledge should be established. Knowledge mileage system, selection of the best knowledge employee and team will be a good example of the effective reward system. 5) The participation and support from the chief executive officers (CEO) of the hospitals is an important factor for successful knowledge-based management. Furthermore, to make physicians actively participate in the knowledge-based management is another important factor for obtaining valuable outputs from the system. 6) It is found that the knowledge and skills of the hospitals employees on the information technology (IT) are not sufficient for making knowledge-based management more popular. This implies that it is very important to select IT-oriented employees and educate them continuously on the knowledge-based management.

  • Real-time multimedia transmit services like internet broadcasting, web-based education, chatting, conference, circumference observation etc. by using internet are given a great deal of weight on most recently internet services. In these way, various internet services are presented and there applications are also gradually spreaded because of improvement MPEG and streaming processing techniques. But currently internet service is a development of system which has independent function of above services. And a research and development of system which have a multipurpose internet service are insufficiency. In this paper, we design and develop system(RealCam SUN A/V) for transmitting images and voices based on MPEG4 streaming. As a result of our research, it made possible to transmit images with 15 frame/sec in 160×120 frame size at 56Kbps and 30 frame/sec in 640×480 frame size at 512Kbps. And also we can apply this system as multipurpose function to circumference observation and internet broadcasting etc., by transmitting voices, images and control signal simultaneously.

  • 최근 정보통신 기술들이 빠르게 발전하고 있다. 다양한 통신 기술들 중에서도 업무의 효율을 높이고자 회사 및 가정, 학교 등에서 자주 사용되고 있는 영상채팅시스템을 구현해보고자 한다. 쿼타임 코덱 중 가장 보편적인 코덱으로 인코딩이 쉽고 저사양의 CPU만으로도 실시간 스트리밍이 가능한 H.263 코덱을 사용하여 영상채팅시스템을 Visual C++로 구현을 하였다. 전송로의 지연을 줄이기 위하여 영상, 음성, 텍스트 등을 압축하고 복원하는 데 걸리는 시간을 최소화기 위하여 데이터의 전송대역폭을 적절히 조절하는 알고리듬을 제안하여 전송지연을 최소화하였다. 또한 P2P 방식을 사용하여 다양한 영상 환경에 대하여 영상 및 텍스트 데이터의 안정성과 화질이 우수함을 보였으며, 실시간 가스안전관리 상담에 이용하여 업무의 효율을 높이고자 한다.
