  • In this thesis, We analyze performance evaluation of one channel B-WLL IF receiver system. Among the item of receiver performance, inter-modulation interference and yield analysis is especially focused. Since inter-modulation interference cause bad influence on system performance due to unwanted third order harmonic located in desired frequency band, third order harmonic causing inter-modulation interference should be efficiently removed. Yield analysis is observing influence on system performance when system element parameter is statistically varied, and in this thesis, system output is observed for LNA parameters. Additionally, Scheme for LNA gain adjustment to reduce inter-modulation interference is proposed by observing variation of third order harmonic output for LNA gain variation.

  • In this paper, the derivation of the protection ratio for the digital microwave system with diversity is newly suggested for a basic guidance of initial planning for frequency coordination, and computational results are presented for an actual radio frequency band. The net filter discrimination has been also examined to see the effect of the adjacent channel protection ratio caused by adjacent channel interference. In addition, the protection ratios for the space or frequency diversity system are analyzed in terms of diversity improvement factors to find out an equivalent allowable noise-to-interference ratio (N/I) from degraded fade margin. According to results for 6.2 GHz system, with the space diversity of 25 m distance between antennas or the frequency diversity of ${\Delta}f/f=0.05$, under 64-QAM and 60 km at BER $10^{-6}$, the protection ratio can be greatly reduced in comparison to the non-diversity system. So, assuming that only the same protection ratio as the non-diversity system is kept, it is shown that the system with diversity may get more interference level of N/I allowing from 9.0 to - 5.9 dB or from 6.0 to - 4.3 dB for the space or frequency diversity. In consequence, it is concluded that the diversity system is more robust or tolerable for interferences or fades, which may play an important role in overcoming N/I to some extent.

  • This paper investigates the performance of interference-limited two-way transmission protocols in the Rayleigh fading channels. New lower bound of outage probability and approximate expression of bit error rate (BER) for three-phase two-way relaying (3P-TWR) protocol are derived in closed-form. These expressions are valid for arbitrary signal-to-noise ratio values, numbers of co-channel interferers and amajority of modulation formats employed in the practical system. Then a comparative study is developed for the performance of three two-way transmission protocols, i.e., direct transmission (DT) protocol, two-phase two-way relaying (2P-TWR) protocol and 3P-TWR protocol based on the asymptotic expressions of outage probability and BER. On the basis of the theoretical results, the thresholds on the strength (variance) of direct channel and target rate for the relative performance of different protocols are obtained and the effect of interferences at the terminal and relay on the relative performance is analyzed. The results present key insights on how to choose proper two-way transmission protocol with the knowledge of fading channels, required date rate and modulation format to optimize the system performance in the practical interference-limited scenarios. Simulation results are presented to validate the theoretical analysis.

Analyzed results in actualer situation with channel conclusion error. Because frequency selective special quality is strong, there was excellent performance elevation than Conventional space - frequency block code receiver when use together MMSE fan shape receiver and interference exclusion radical in situation that the interference amount is big. Iin case channel conclusion error is small, there were Performance gains of 7dB in (MSE = 0.001) $BER=2{\times}10^{-3}$.

  • In this paper, we study a problem that is concerning how to construct a delay-constrained multicast tree on a wireless mesh network (WMN) such that the number of serviced clients is maximized. In order to support high-quality and concurrent interference-free transmission streams, multiple radios are implemented in each mesh node in the WMNs. Instead of only orthogonal channels used for the multicast in the previous works, both orthogonal and partially overlapping channels are considered in this study. As a result, the number of links successfully allocated channels can be expected to be much larger than that of the approaches in which only orthogonal channels are considered. The number of serviced subscribers is then increased dramatically. Hence, the goal of this study is to find interference-free and delay-constrained multicast trees that can lead to the maximal number of serviced subscribers. This problem is referred as the MRDCM problem. Two heuristics, load-based greedy algorithm and load-based MCM algorithm, are developed for constructing multicast trees. Furthermore, two load-based channel assignment procedures are provided to allocate interference-free channels to the multicast trees. A set of experiments is designed to do performance, delay and efficiency comparisons for the multicast trees generated by all the approximation algorithms proposed in this study.

  • A femtocell is a small cellular base station, typically designed for use in a home or small business. The random deployment of a femtocell has a critical effect on the performance of a macrocell network due to co-channel interference. Utilizing the advantage of a multiple-input multiple-output system, each femto base station (FBS) is able to form a cluster and generates a precoding matrix, which is a modified version of conventional single-cell block diagonalization, in a cooperative manner. Since interference from clustered-FBSs located at the nearby macro user equipment (MUE) is the dominant interference contributor to the coexisting networks, each cluster generates a precoding matrix considering the effects of interference on nearby MUEs. Through simulation, we verify that the proposed algorithm shows better performance respective to both MUE and femto user equipment, in terms of capacity.

  • With innovative advances in wireless communication technology, many researches for extending network lifetime in maximum by using energy harvesting have been actively performed on the area of network resource optimization, QoS-guaranteed transmission, energy-intelligent routing and etc. As known well, it is very hard to guarantee end-to-end network delay due to uncertainty of the amount of harvested energy in multi-hop RF(radio frequency) energy harvesting wireless networks. To minimize end-to-end delay in multi-hop RF energy harvesting networks, this paper proposes an energy efficient routing metric based on interference aware and protocol which takes account of various delays caused by co-channel interference, energy harvesting time and queuing in a relay node. The proposed method maximizes end-to-end throughput by performing avoidance of packet congestion causing load unbalance, reduction of waiting time due to exhaustion of energy and restraint of delay time from co-channel interference. Finally simulation results using ns-3 simulator show that the proposed method outperforms existing methods in respect of throughput, end-to-end delay and energy consumption.

  • In Cognitive Radio network, spectrum selection scheme is one of a important part to manage idle spectrums efficiently. However, in CR networks, they have to adopt time-varying channel availability to minimize the interference to primary users (PU), and be able to manage spectrum resources efficiently. In this paper, we proposed a modified PF scheduler which can be appropriate to schedule downlink CR users and channels, by considering the fairness and the throughput as well as the primary user characteristics of each channel.

  • This paper reports a cognitive radio network architecture based on overloaded multicarrier direct sequence code division multiple access (O-MC-DS-CDMA). The O-MC-DSCDMA technique combines CDMA with a multicarrier modulation technique to overcome the channel fading effects. In this technique, secondary users are enabled to share the available bandwidth with the existing primary users. Two sets of orthogonal Gold codes are used to support the primary and secondary users simultaneously. The orthogonality between the spreading codes is lost due to the non-zero cross correlation between the codes and the timing synchronization error in the uplink transmission, which causes interference between primary and secondary users. This paper proposes two modified hybrid parallel/successive interference cancellation techniques for primary and secondary user base station receivers with multiple antennas to suppress the interference among users. Interference among the same group of users is cancelled by parallel interference cancellation and the interference among groups is cancelled using successive interference cancellation. The simulation results confirmed that the proposed modified interference cancellation techniques show better BER performance over conventional interference cancellation techniques.
