We study a device structure which can be used to generate pure valley current and valley polarized current using quantum adiabatic pumping. The design of the structure allows the flexibility of changing the structure from one for pure valley current generation to one for valley polarized current generation by changing the applied electric potentials through changing the symmetry of the structure. The device is useful for the development of valleytronic devices.

This paper deals with the magnetic equivalent circuit modeling and permanent magnet (PM) performance evaluations of a pole changing memory motor (PCMM). We use a coupled transient finite element method (FEM) and Preisach modeling, which is presented to analyze the magnetic characteristics of the permanent magnets. The focus of this paper is on the evaluation of characteristics such as the magnetizing direction and the pole number of the machine under re- and de-magnetization conditions.

Traditional pharmacological theory was not built in a day. It had been changing in the past, still changing in the present day and will be changing in the future. The transition was made by criticism, modification and complements through countless debates. Therefore, we can learn the systematic stream of traditional pharmacology and logical construction and make an estimate of the changes in the future, by looking at the debates and the transition of pharmacological theory.

Influence of changing combustor pressure on flame stabilization and emission index in the swirl-stabilized flame was investigated. The combustor pressure was controlled by suction fan at combustor exit. Pressure index ($P^{\ast}$=Pabs/Patm), where Pabs and Patm indicated the absolute pressure and atmosphere pressure, respectively, was controlled in the range of 0.7${\sim}$1.3 for each equivalence ratio conditions. The flammable limits of swirl flames were largely influenced by changing combustor pressure and they showed similar tendency with laminar flames. NOx emission index decreased with decreasing pressure index for overall equivalence ratio conditions. R.m.s. of pressure fluctuations is increased with decreasing combustor pressure. This flame fluctuation caused incomplete combustion, hence CO emission index increased. These oscillating flames were measured by simultaneous $CH^{\ast}$ chemiluminescence time-series visualization and pressure fluctuation measurement.

We consider a new load balancing routing for delay-guaranteed services in the network in which the traffic is dynamic and network topologies frequently change. For such an ever-changing network, we propose a new online load balancing routing called AntLBR, which exploits the ant colony optimization method. Generally, to achieve load balancing, researchers have tried to calculate the traffic split ratio by solving a complicated linear programming (LP) problem under the static network environment. In contrast, the proposed AntLBR does not make any attempt to solve this complicated LP problem. So as to achieve load balancing, AntLBR simply forwards incoming flows by referring to the amount of pheromone trails. Simulation results indicate that the AntLBR algorithm achieves a more load-balanced network under the changing network environment than techniques used in previous research while guaranteeing the requirements of delay-guaranteed services.

This paper tries to interpret the processes of establishing the public libraries in Changwon City and its changing sociological roles. The roles of the public libraries are changing according to the aspects of the communities. Thus roles of the libraries in Changwon have also changed with the various changes in Korean society. The periods are divided into three: before the declaration June 29(1980-1987); the appearances of civil libraries and local community libraries(1988-1998); the maeul (which means small community) libraries that the citizens have established and participated. By the three periods this paper interprets the processes of establishing the libraries and their changing in Changwon City.

Transformation optics methodology provides a new pathway for designing novel devices. It is based on changing a material’s permittivity and permeability. A design for changing the appearance of an object by transformation optics methodology is proposed here. Through a certain transformation, the relations of the metric spaces and the calculation of the material parameters are derived, and the aim of changing the apparent size of an object can be realized. Full wave simulations are performed to validate the proposed device’s performance. It is possible to think that the methodology will improve the flexibility of designing interesting applications in microwave and optical regimes.

The purpose of this study finds that (1) history of the First birthday rite(첫돌 의례) and (2) changing process of the First birthday\`s dress and ornaments(첫돌 복식). The results of this study are as follows. The history of the first birthday rite has been continued vary long years in Korea, but it\`s origin is not clearness. The purpose and form of the first birthday rite are vary similarity in China and Korea. The rate of infant mortality was regarded that an absolute element of the first birthday rite. Making process of the first birthday\`s dress and ornaments was not definite, The adoption of that\`s form and elements act on affect local·homely·individual situation. First birthday\`s dress and ornaments was changed by changing process and convert of recognition about First birthday rite. It shows that the change of rites clothing contacted with changing process of rites.

Our society is rapidly digitalizing. The effects of his digitalization are very diverse and one of them is that our living environments are changing. Many routine places which certain activities have been taken places are changing. For example, home office, education at home using internet, home shopping, internet banking, and so on. These facts cause the home to be extended and digitalized. That is, as our living patterns are changing, the housing needs are also changing. The purpose of this study is to graspe the digital related housing needs of the residents and suggest the directions of the digital home design. The subjects were 400 housewives who lived in 85m2 sized multi-family houses in Busan. They were relatively young in their age, had high education level, and middle income. On the base of their demands, the digital home designed as follows would be desirable: 1) safe and secure design and digital system, 2) design to improve residents' health and encourge family interaction, 3) human, warm, and soft interior mood, 4) the space composition different from the existing one.
