To implement this proposal, the study employs 6 different textbooks published in 1996 geared for the 6th Curriculum for data base. The components of the contents divides into two major parts. The first part faUs into a category of holistic analysis of the textbooks, which gives a general perspective of the changes in the textbook revised. It includes those areas of changes in the total number of pacover page, illustrations, table of contents, appendices, unit cover, introductory remarks, summary and evaluation, etc. It also covers the information on authors of textbook. The latter part consists of several specific areas of major changes occurred in the textbooks for the 6th Curriculum. It covers such areas of changes in the composition of category and its weigh laboratory experiences, and illustrations and tables. To conclude the study, there found followings key features : 1) The new textbooks have adopted more of varieties in physical appearances and contents per se as to the older ones. And yet, there still found a weakness in numbers of authors participated to a full reflection of contents variety. In addition, the background of authors reflected on an unrealistic idealism which lacks the on-site information provided by the school teachers. 2) The content area consists of 3 major areas of Human Development & Family Relationship. Food and Nutrition. Clothing and Textiles with ratio of 23.8%, 23.1%, and 21.9% respectively. 3) Human Development & Family Relationship area ranked first with 71 times in the numbers of laboratory activities for each content area. followed by Food and Nutrition with 56 and Family Resorces & Consumerism with 54. • The purpose of this study is to provide meaningful basic materials for organizing a science curriculum in future by analyzing the status and changes of contents about astronomical phenomena in textbooks according to the changes of the science curriculum of elementary school. A main target of analysis is science textbooks of elementary school in curriculums from 1st to 7th. For the analysis, the analytic frame based on contents in astronomy textbooks of teachers colleges and colleges of education was used. The result of the analysis is as in the following. First, astronomy accounted for average about 7% of all pages of textbooks in all of science curriculums. The 1st educational curriculum had the most learning quantity of 10.40%, and the 6th curriculum had the least quantity of 4.39%. These results show that astronomy was not a small part and was considered important in each science curriculum of elementary school considering that earth science accounted for 17-26% of all pages in elementary school science curriculum. Second, the things that have been dealt with in common in all science curriculums from 1st to 7th of elementary school are the shape of the earth, the rotation and the revolution of the earth, the occurrence of the seasons, the apparent motion of the sun, the status and motion of the moon, the movement of a star, the brightness and distance of a star, constellations, the sun, planets and others. These contents are expected to be dealt with continuously as basic contents to organize astronomy regardless of the changes of curriculum. Third, in science curriculum of elementary school, astronomical phenomena based on life experiences regarding the earth, the moon and the sun are mainly dealt with in the first and the second grade. Contents requiring principles-understanding and research are dealt with in the fifth and sixth grade. These results show that elementary school science curriculum dealing with astronomy reflects the developmental stages of students and considers principle of learning possibility.

  • The Chinese Geography Standards for Senior Secondary Schools(trial) was released in 2003. The Standards put forward some changes for senior geography education, the changes in geographical education are reflected explicitly and implicitly by the textbooks. The purpose of this descriptive study was to review of the improvement of Chinese senior geography education by analyzing contents organization and coherence of the new standards-based geography experimental textbooks. The results of study are as follows. The textbooks adopts a student-centered approach through the way of 'more chapter topics with slimmed contents' and by introducing four type activities, geographical inquiries. These student activities are implicity encourages students' active acquisition of geographical knowledge what they have learned in their real lives. The organic coherence of the textbooks' contents rests on the compulsory and the elective subject relating to diversification of the learning areas. The organic coherence between the compulsory and the elective subject rests on diversification of the learning areas. More, looking at the arrangement of the four basic concepts(population, resource, environment, sustainable development) among the textbooks, it was imbalanced by subject.

  • South Korea places the core of public education in school education, and textbooks are compiled based on curriculum announced by the Education Ministry. Therefore, the compilation of high-quality textbooks is very important and requires more than just revising the curriculum. Korea had been working on developing textbooks several times, but it has been evaluated as a uniform textbook in terms of external system and editing design compared to advanced foreign textbooks. This can be said to be the result of the based to only the textbook's internal system, which should be dealt with in the textbook when compiling the textbook. The textbooks which were developed at seventh curriculum were made remarkable changes in the history of South Korea textbooks. In this study, we want to examine the nation's state-authored textbooks, from the seventh textbook to the current textbook in 2015 by order of magnitude and to give a careful look at what aspects of the changes are being made. To this end, the composition of textbooks is analyzed by dividing them into external and internal systems. The external system of textbooks focuses on changes in plate form, shape, lipid, color, and illustration, while the internal system focuses on changes in the composition system of the unit, the composition system of the contents by lesson, and the style of question. As a result, we led to a significant conclusion on the changes in textbooks.

  • The contents of fraction division in textbooks are important because there were changes in situations and problem solving methods in textbooks according to the revision of the curriculum and the contents of textbooks affect students' learning directly. So, this study analyzed the achievement standards of the curriculum and formula types and situations, and the introduction process of non-standard and standard algorithms presented in Korean mathematics textbooks. The results are follows: there was little difference in the achievement standards of the curriculum, but there was a difference in the arrangement of contents by grades in textbooks. There was a difference in the types of formula according to textbooks. And the situation became more diverse; recent textbooks have changed to the direction of using the non-standard and the standard algorithm in parallel. In conclusion, I proposed categorizing rather than splitting the types of fraction division, the connection of non-standard and standard algorithm, and the need to prepare methods to pursue generalization and justification according to the common characteristics in the process of introducing standard algorithm.
