  • The temperature and relative humidity in concrete change with the passage of time depending on factors such as compressive strength. They are also different depending upon internal depth of concrete. In this study, we have measured the change of the temperature and relative humidity in the concrete for two years to act as the parameters to evaluate the concrete durability and effective maintenance.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the change of perception and preference of color according to time passage. The subjects were university students and for the survey 257 questionnaires in 1998 and 522 questionnaires in 2005 were effectively used to compare the perception and preference of color between the both period. The statistics was performed with frequency analysis and independent t-test in SPSS 10.0. The results were as follows. 1) Color perception according to time passage showed significant differences in red, yellow, green, and blue color. 2) Color preference according to time passage showed significant differences in red, green, and blue color. 3) Color perception among three regions according to time passage showed significant differences in red color in Seoul, yellow color in Seoul, Mokpo and Jeju, green color in Seoul and Mokpo, blue color in Seoul, Mokpo and Jeju, and purple color in Seoul. 4) Color preference among three regions according to time passage showed significant differences in yellow color in Mokpo, green and blue color in Seoul, Mokpo and Jeju.

  • This research aimed to analyze the fundamental properties of cement mortar accompanying the change of solid contents of PC type water reducing agent. As a result of the experiment, in the case of flow to the properties of the fresh mortar, it shows a tendency to decrease as the solid content ratio decreases, and the decrease width with the passage of time is greatly reduced when 30 minutes passed since the passage of 60minutes It turned out that it was. In the case of the air contents and the compressive strength, it was found that there is almost no difference due to the change in the solid contents.

  • In this study it was adopted on sea dike monitoring that the safety monitoring with statistical limits which was adapted usually on safety monitoring by measuring pressures, stresses or deformations. And also the hydraulic head loss rate change according to passage of time was calculated for the purpose of safety monitoring. Safety monitoring by setting the statistical limit on the measured pore water pressure graphs need to be supplemented with an additional method of monitoring because the difference between the rise and fall of the tide was irregular. Safety monitoring by the limits set from values predicted by linear regression and standard errors on the hydraulic head loss graph was not affected by irregularity of tide. But if the condition of an embankment is changed gradually and slowly, it will not be detected on the hydraulic head loss graph. The graph of hydraulic head loss rate for every 24 hours vs date showed clearly that the sea water blocking state was getting better or not even though it was changed gradually and slowly.

  • Housing distribution rate in our country has been continuously increased with economic growth, but residential plans satisfying the demands of residents are still not perfect yet. The demands of residents can be predicted by analyzing the housing viewpoint of residents. And also, the housing viewpoint can change according to various environmental changes, so it's important for us to understand the trend of change. Therefore, the housing viewpoints of university students who will be subjective residents of houses in future were analyzed by observing change due to trend of time. Target for this study is female university students in 20s. A portion of previously presented material (Korean Home Economics Association 37,1, 67-78) was used as data for 1998 and a questionnaire with 171 female university students was conducted on December 2008 for data for 2008. The following result was drawn from examination of change in the housing viewpoint due to trend of time by comparing the housing viewpoint of university students between 1998 and 2008. First, importance of was decreased and importance of was increased in functions of residence. Second, Most students thought and regardless of the time passage as their opinions on housing. And also, most students considered a living room as the most important space inside of a house regardless of the time passage and the ratio of considering a living room as the most important space was more increased.

  • This paper studies the economic replacement method for production facilities which requires huge investment but are necessary for higher productivity and competability of products. That is, the general models for the decision of economic life of properties which minimizes the total costs throughout the usage life(Life cycle costs) are generated. Main factors which make influences for the decision of econmic life can be divided by three. These are the change of salvage value, repair and maintenance costs, and availability of production facilities with the passage of usage time. In this paper, the real world data for these three factors are collected and analyzed for the extraction of representative standard forms with the passage of time. And general models for economic replacement methods and optimal usage terms are presented through tables with the combination of the standard forms of these three main factors.

  • To understand how human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) might change and evolve after reactivation, it is very important to understand how the nucleotide sequence of cultured HCMV changes after in vitro passaging in cell culture, and how these changes affect the genome of HCMV and the consequent variation in amino acid sequence. Strain JHC of HCMV was propagated in vitro for more than 40 passages and its biological and genetic changes were monitored. For each passage, real-time PCR was performed in order to determine the genome copy number, and a plaque assay was employed to get virus infection titers. The infectious virus titers gradually increased with passaging in cell culture, whereas the number of virus genome copies remained relatively unchanged. A linear correlation was observed between the passage number and the log10 infectious virus titer per virus genome copy number. To understand the genetic basis underlying the increase in HCMV infectivity with increasing passage, the whole-genome DNA sequence of the high-passage strain was determined and compared with the genome sequence of the low-passage strain. Out of 100 mutations found in the high-passage strain, only two were located in an open reading frame. A G-T substitution in the RL13 gene resulted in a nonsense mutation and caused an early stop. A G-A substitution in the UL122 gene generated an S-F nonsynonymous mutation. The mutations in the RL13 and UL122 genes might be related to the increase in virus infectivity, although the role of the mutations found in noncoding regions could not be excluded.

  • The purpose of this study is to test a multiple change point in the regression model with the passage of time, using the estimated residual variance figure suggested by Gasser, Sroka and Jennen - Steinmez (GSJS). As a result of the simulation, it is showed that there is a jump change of the estimated residual variance figure at that time of change point. The way to analyse a intuitive multiple change point through graphics is more effective and accurate than any other existing ways.

  • This experiment was carried out to determine how the water soluble, the available phosphoric acid and the urea-N would change as time went by, when mixtures of calcium superphosphate and urea were made. Two kinds of materials, i. e., calcium superphosphate and urea were engaged in this experiment. Two kinds of mixed fertilizer, i. e., A and B were made up by mixing these materials to satisfy the following ratio. 1) Urea 1+ calcium superphosphate 1${\cdots}\;{\cdots}$A 2) Urea 1+ calcium superphosphate 2${\cdots}\;{\cdots}$B A and B pIaced placed in desiccators respectively a six-month period. During the time of storage, the water soluble, the available $P_2O_5$ and the urea-N were measured once a month, seven times with the control measurement. The results may be summarized as follows. 1. The urea-N in both A and B showed no change by the passage of time. This fact suggested that the mixing of calcium superphosphate with urea was not unfavourable. 2. A and B showed no diminishing in the water soluble and the available $P_2O_5$ in the process of time. This fact indicated that the combination of calcium superphosphate with urea was not unfeasible.
