Recent business environments require a company to communicate frequently with other companies. This makes it essential to use XML (extensible Markup Language) documents. Especially in e-Business environments, change management of documents is important to record and trace the history of the documents. It is also important to reconstruct a certain version of documents that are exchanged among companies. In this paper, we propose a new method of storing a document by detecting changes automatically and reconstructing the document version when a user requests. A prototype system is implemented on top of a workflow system. Our approach provides efficiency of storage space and convenient management of documents.

There has been growing concern regarding IAQ(Indoor Air Quality) recently, and IAQ problems from the air-tightness and use of chemical materials addition to the building materials have become increasingly important factors in the built environment. Ventilation is supposed as the solution of healthy indoor quality, and Korea government requests that all new apartment buildings must have a ventilation system as a matter of duty since January, 2006. The purpose of this study is to investigate the indoor concentration change of VOCs include the Formaldehyde according to many different ventilation supply types. Results showed that the reduction effect of target pollutants by the ventilation system was very slight. The cause of these results was attribute to increase the emission rate of building materials by increasing the ventilation rate.

This study investigated the expectations Of 186 Korean mothers regarding the self-regulatory behaviors of their l-to 5-year old child. A questionnaire for mothers was prepared which consists of nine categories identified in previous research : safety rules, personal property rules, interpersonal rules, food-related rules, independence requests, self-care rules, family routines, delay, manners, obedience rules, and academic skills and attitude. Data consisted of questionnaires completed by the mothers. Findings were that (1) mothers had high expectations regarding self-regulatory behaviors about safety and independence but low expectations regarding family routines and personal property self-regulation, (2) their expectations increased with age of child, (3) the pattern of expectations did not change with age, and (4) expectations were higher with lower educational background of the mother.

The completeness appraisal of software is performed in various forms, such as assessing the completion level in the development process, calculating the defect rate, estimating the development cost, and calculating the redevelopment cost. Along with this, the problem that is often dealt with is estimation of the development time. Even in a dispute over completeness due to delays in software development, issues of calculating an appropriate development time required to develop a delivery software or a development time required for change requests are often included in the appraisal request. In this paper, we introduce the procedure and method for estimating the appropriate project time of software development so that the appraiser can be applied to the appraisal work for determining the completeness. The method is based on the manual for calculating the appropriate project period of software development project.

Decision-making refers to identifying the best alternative among a set of alternatives. When a set of criteria are involved, the decision-making is called multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM). In some cases, the involved criteria may be prioritized by the human decision-maker, which determines the importance degree for each criterion; hence, the decision-making becomes prioritized multi-criteria decision-making. The essence of prioritized MCDM is raking the different alternatives concerning the criteria and selecting best one(s) from the ranked list. This paper introduces a generic multi-level algorithm for ranking multiple alternatives in prioritized MCDM problems. The proposed algorithm is implemented by a decision support system for selecting the most critical short-road requests presented to the transportation ministry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The ranking results show that the proposed ranking algorithm achieves a good balance between the importance degrees determined by the human decision maker and the score value of the alternatives concerning the different criteria.

Building Information Modeling (BIM) design has been mandatory in Korea since 2016, and it has been gradually expanding in the industry, with a slow attempt to apply it in remodeling constructions. This is because Korea is facing a situation where many buildings are over 30 years old and require remodeling or reconstruction. The remodeling industry is also a growing market, as it saves construction time and cost compared to reconstruction. BIM is an ideal technology element for a competitive remodeling construction, as remodeling constructions face a complicated construction process from the start, including demolition, maintenance, and reinforcement to save the change process. However, there are still limitations in applying BIM to remodeling constructions, due to considerations of the existing building and the complicated requests of the inhabitants. BIM still has technical and environmental limitations for general use. In this study, I analyzed BIM application cases from existing studies and suggest what improvement points should be strengthened.

이 연구는 대학도서관 공간변화 동향 및 사서들의 인식조사를 기초로 대학도서관 공간변화의 방향성을 제안하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 2000년부터 2020년까지 대학도서관 공간변화의 특징을 분석하고 설문조사를 통해 공간변화의 문제점을 파악하였다. 조사결과, 지난 20년간 전국 대학도서관에서 총 99건의 신·증축 및 리모델링이 있었고, 최근 대학의 예산 긴축정책에 따라 신·증축보다 리모델링에 치중하는 것으로 나타났다. 공간변화의 특징으로는 이용자들의 요구 수용, 이용자 수 증대를 목적으로 도서관 내 휴게공간 확장과 쾌적하고 안락한 분위기 추구, 혁신적·창의적인 공간 설치 지향 등이 나타났다. 공간변화의 장점은 다양한 공간의 제공과 도서관 방문자 수 증가 등이며, 시설유지비 증가와 관리 인력 부족 등이 문제점으로 조사되었다. 또한 공간변화가 시대적 트렌드만 반영하고 서비스 및 대학도서관의 실질적 가치에 변화가 크지 않은 점, 획일성과 특징 상실 등이 지적되었다. 향후 대학도서관 공간변화는 대학도서관만의 차별성 확보와 다양한 변화에 대한 수용성, 대학도서관의 가치와 존재를 증명할 수 있는 상징성을 지향할 필요가 있는 것으로 분석되었다.

미군 공사는 국내 공사와 설계기준과 수행절차 등이 상이하기때문에 설계변경의 원인과 영향도 등도 다른 양상을 보인다. 본 연구는 100억 이상 규모 총 24건의 미군공사에서 발생한 721건의 설계변경 자료와 164명의 미군공사참여자 설문을 바탕으로 미군공사의 설계변경 원인과 그 영향도를 분석하였다. 미군공사에서 중요한 설계변경 요인은 설계 오류에 의한 설계 관련 변경(348건, 48.3%), 발주자 요구(86건, 11.9%), 상이한 현장 상태(69건, 9.6%)로 밝혀졌다. 또한, 설계변경으로 인해 평균 6.56%의 공사비 증가와 계약공기 대비 21.1%의 공기연장이 발생하였다. 본 연구의 결과로 국내 건설사에는 군 시설의 접근성 및 제한성으로 인해 부족할 수 있는 미군공사의 설계변경 및 공사성과의 전반적 이해도를 향상을 기대한다. 이를 바탕으로 향후 미군시설공사의 발전적 방향을 제시할 수 있는 후속 연구를 제안한다.

Independent guarantee is new financial product developed in international commercial transaction. The nature of independent guarantee is an independent undertaking, which takes the form of documentary transaction. As long as the documents presented by the beneficiary are on their face complying with the terms and conditions of the guarantee, the guarantor is obliged to pay upon the complying presentation. Where parties choose to apply for issue of independent guarantee in international commercial transactions in China, Chinese court shall respect the autonomy of parties. If either the guarantor or the beneficiary is located outside of China, or the facts which cause the establishment, change or cancellation of independent guarantee relationship occurred outside of China, it shall be deemed as foreign related independent guarantee. If the interested parties requests for confirmation of the independence of foreign related independent guarantee, it shall be supported by Chinese court. However, parties dealing with Chinese domestic commercial transaction have not fully realized the severity of independent guarantee liability. The market credit is being cultivated and the financial innovation is being explored at present in China. In order to guard against the systematic and the regional financial risk, before relevant rules are promulgated, Chinese court shall not recognize the independence guarantees issued for the domestic commercial transaction, but treat it as joint liability surety.
