Objectives : To increase the booster vaccination rate, the Korean government legislated a measles vaccination for elementary school students in 2001, requiring parents to submit a certificate of vaccination upon the admission of the students to elementary school. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the validity of measles vaccination certificates which were issued to parents. Methods : Using questionnaire survey data of 890 general practitioners and 9,235 parents in 2005, we investigated the evidence for booster vaccination certificates of measles. Results : In the survey of general practitioners, 59.5% of the certificates depended on the medical records of clinic, 13.5% was immunization booklets, 23.7% was reimmunizations, 1.9% was confirmation of record of other clinics, and 1.4% was parents statements or requests without evidence. In the survey of parents, 36.2% of the certificates depended on the medical records of clinic, 43.4% was immunization booklets, 18.0% was reimmunizations, and 2.4% was parents statements or requests without evidence. Conclusions : Our findings show that a majority of the booster vaccination certificates of measles was issued on the basis of documented vaccinations and it means that the implementation of the law requiring the submission of elementary school students' vaccination certificates has been very successful in Korea.

Objectives : Previous studies showed that death certification by physicians was an important predictor to improve the quality of death certificate data in South Korea. This study was conducted to examine the proportion of death certificates issued by physicians and associated factors in South Korea from 1990 to 2002. Methods : Data from 3,110,883 death certificates issued between 1990 and 2002, available to the public from the National Statistical Office of Korea, were used to calculate the proportion of death certificates issued by physicians and to examine associated factors with logistic regression analysis. Results : The overall proportion of death certificates issued by physicians increased from 44.6% in 1990 to 77.6% in 2002 (mean: 63.5%). However, the proportion was greatly influenced by the deceased's age. In 2002, more than 90% of the deceased aged 51 or less were certified by physicians. A higher proportion was found among deceased who had tertiary education (college or higher) living in more developed urban areas. Conclusion : The information regarding the cause of death for younger, well-educated deceased in urban areas of South Korea may show a higher level of accuracy. Epidemiologic research using information on causes of death may well benefit from the continually increasing proportion of death certificates issued by physicians in the future in South Korea.

The certificate is electronic information issued by an accredited certification body to certify an individual or to prevent forgery and alteration between communications. Certified certificates are stored in PCs and smart phones in the form of encrypted files and are used to prove individuals when using Internet banking and smart banking services. Among the rapidly growing Android-based malicious applications are malicious apps that leak personal information, especially certificates that exist in the form of files. This paper proposes a method for judging whether malicious codes leak certificates by using DroidBox, an Android-based dynamic analysis tool.

This study is suggest the test system for BIM(Building Information Modeling) qualification. And this study is the field-based BIM educational program with the acquisition of the qualifying certificates. Since field-based BIM and Curriculum(of University and Junior College) are highly linked to the actual practical affairs, the learning connected to the practical affairs out of the teaching focused on BIM modeling would satisfy students, and it would make the acquisition of the certificates which determinate the capability of the practical affairs. Thus teachers should guide students to get the certificates thoroughly, make them understand the importance of the acquisition of the certificates.

And the study on access control for web server or database server is also progressed actively. In this paper, we analyze the proposed access control method for server and the binding method between public key certificates and attribute certificates using OCSP server.

Digital accredited certificates issued under the Digital Signature Act provide essential functionalities for online service, so certificates are used for various services such as online banking, e-government. However, certificates can be stolen by hackers and users need to install separate software to use certificates. Recently FIDO, which aims to solve the problems of password-based authentication and the lack of interoperability between authentication methods, is used for biometric authentication and TrustZone, hardware-based secure environment, is used for safe smartphone usage. In this paper, the new service method is suggested which uses FIDO-based biometric authentication and stores certificates in TrustZone. This method can not only improve security and convenience but also be easily applied to the service because it uses built-in functionalities of new smartphones such as biometric sensors and TrustZone. It is expected that people can use certificates in a safe and convenient way with this method.

IISO/IEC 9594-8 defines the public key framework and attribute certificate framework. Attribute certificate framework deals with privilege management infrastructure(PMI). In PMI, for privilege management using attribute certificates, role assignment certificates and role specification certificates are used to assign and specify privileges independently. Role specification certificates includes privilege specifications and the details far privilege management of network environments. Privilege management of unreliable network environment tries to enhance the reliability and efficiency of privilege information transmission forwarding over unreliable routes in the presence of potentially faulty nodes and edges. Each node forms a role specification tree based on role specification relationship data collected from the network. In this paper privilege management cost with the role specification certificates tree structure is evaluated trying to reduce the overhead incurred by role creation and modification of privileges. The multicasting of packets are used for scalability. We establish management cost model taking into account the packet loss and node reliability which continuously join and leave for network. We present quantitative results which demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed privilege management scheme.

The COVID-19 pandemic has led many countries around the world to introduce and employ a digital certificate system to prevent infectious diseases, however, there are difficulties in using the compatible digital certificate between countries in that the international standards of the system have not been developed. Accordingly, we propose an improved system, comparing two methods of presenting a certificate, existing QR code-based and a short-range wireless communication-based certificates. The proposed system is a digital certificate system against the spread of infectious disease by storing verification information of the certificate using decentralized identity-based technology on the blockchain. Blockchain-based trust anchor improves security by solving the problem of forgery and alteration of certificates and guaranteeing the identity of certificate issuers and presenters. This system is also expected to enhance usability providing concurrent verification of a number of certificates(vaccination certificates, recovery certificates, test results, identity certificates, etc.) in a single certificate presentation.

With the development and spread of smart devices, the proportion of mobile shopping is gradually increasing, and the market for mobile gift certificates is also increasing. This study examines the usage status and acceptance attitude of mobile gift certificates for university students who are major customers of mobile gift certificates. Also, based on the extended integrated technology acceptance model (UTAUT2), the results of the analysis of the mediating effect of the intention of the user on the relationship between acceptance of mobile vouchers and recommendation intention were presented. As a result of the analysis, it was shown that the effort expectation, hedonic motivation, price utility, and habit had significant influence on the intention to use the mobile gift certificates. Also, the intention to use mobile gift certificates has mediating effects between effort expectation, hedonic motivation, price utility and recommendation intention. The results of this study can be applied to strategic marketing such as recruitment of new customers through mobile gift certificates while explaining customers' acceptance of technology to mobile gift vouchers or future prospective customers.
