  • The purpose of this study is to analyze, centering on the preconditions presented, the actual conditions of fashion merchandising informatization, to find a considerable gap between its preconditions and present situations and to explore the strategic device of fashion merchandising informatization. The study is analyzed through questionary paper to the domestic fashion apparel firms. The collected questionary paper is analyzed with SPSS/PC/sup +/ program and the method of statistical analysis used for this study is t-test, one way ANOVA and frequency analysis. There was a considerable gap between its preconditions and present situations analyzing the actual condition of fashion merchandising infomatization centering on its preconditions. The strategic devices of fashion merchandising informations in order to treat, 1. Each apparel company should consider how they classify the informations in order to treat, accumulate, transfer and manage them effectively. 2. In order to make an environment of fashion merchandising informatizations, each company should arrange, expand and utilize informatization instruments. Also they should consider the case to utilize an inside or outside information center effectively.

  • Recently, construction of mass concrete structures except Dam are increased very often. Generation heat due to the hydrating reaction of mass concrete is generally larger than the heat released to the air, foundations and the exist structures. Therefore, internal temperature of mass concrete is remarkably risen and temperature gap between center and surface is extended by various effect. It this gap get large, the crack may be occurred. This crack must be controlled as little as possible to ensure the soundness and durability of structure. Firstly, Temperature rising history of Mass concrete is expected correctly to constrain the crack of mass concrete. So, objectives of this research is to quantify the effects of hydration temperature for the purpose of evaluating accurately the temperature history of mass concrete.

  • It is important to understand flow characteristics and performances of sails for both sailors and designers who want to have efficient thrust of yacht In this Paper the viscous flows around sail-like rigid wings, which are similar to main and jib sails of a 30 feet sloop, are calculated using a CFD tool. Lift, drag and thrust forces are estimated for various conditions of gap distance between the two sails and the center of effort of the sail system is obtained. Wind tunnel experiments are also carried out to measure aerodynamic forces acting on the sails system and to validate the computation. It is found that the combination of two sails produces the lift force larger than the sum of that produced separately by each sail and the gap distance between the two sails is an important factor to determine total lift and thrust.

  • This paper brings out a novel method for reducing Near end and Far end Crosstalk using Electromagnetic Band Gap structures (EBG) in High Speed RF transmission lines. This work becomes useful in high speed closely spaced Printed Circuit Board (PCB) traces connected to multi core processors. By using this method, reduction of −40dB in Near-End Crosstalk (NEXT) and −60 dB in Far End Crosstalk (FEXT) is achieved. The results are validated through experimental measurements. Time domain analysis is performed to validate the signal integrity property of coupled transmission lines.

  • For robust stability analysis of parameters uncertainty missiles, the traditional frequency domain method can only analyze each respective channel at several interval points within uncertain parameter space. Discontinuous calculation and couplings between channels will lead to inaccurate analysis results. A method based on the ${\nu}$-gap metric is proposed, which is able to comprehensively evaluate the robust stability of missiles with uncertain parameters; and then a genetic-simulated annealing hybrid optimization algorithm, which has global and local searching ability, is used to search for a parameters combination that leads to the worst stability within the space of uncertain parameters. Finally, the proposed method is used to analyze the robust stability of a re-entry missile with uncertain parameters; the results verify the feasibility and accuracy of the method.

  • Asymmetrical rolling was performed by rolling AA 1050 sheets with different velocities of upper and lower rolls. In order to study the effect of roll gap geometry on the evolution of strain states and textures during asymmetrical rolling, the reduction per rolling pass was varied. After asymmetrical rolling, the outer thickness layers depicted shear textures and the center thickness layers displayed a random texture. With decreasing reduction per an asymmetrical rolling pass, the thickness layers depicting shear textures increases. The strain states associated with asymmetrical rolling were investigated by simulations with the finite element method (FEM).

  • Flexible displays such as plastic-based liquid crystal displays (LCDs) and organic light-emitting diode displays (OLEDDs) have been researched and developed at KETI since 1997. The plastic film substrate is very weak to heat and pressure compared to glass substrate, that its fabrication process is limited to 110$^{\circ}C$ and low pressure. The ITO films were deposited on the bare plastic film substrate by rf-magnetron sputtering. Moreover, in order to maintain uniform cell gap and pressure on the plastic film substrate, we utilized newly-invented jig and fabrication process. Electro-optical characteristics were better than or equivalent to those of typical glass LCDs though it is thinner, lighter-weight, and more robust than glass LCDs.

  • Fast response characteristics of twisted nematic liquid crystal display (TN-LCD) cell with different nematic liquid crystals (NLCs) and cell gap on a rubbed polyimide (PI) surface were studied. High transmittance and fast response time of the TN-LCD on the rubbed PI surface were achieved by using high birefringence ($\Delta$ n) and low cell gap. It is considered that the transmittance and response time of the TN-LCD on the rubbed PI surface decreased as $\Delta$ nd decrease.

  • One of the major limitations of productivity and quality in metal cutting is the machining accuracy of machine tools. The machining accuracy is affected by geometric and thermal errors of the machine tools. In this study, the compensation device is manufactured in order to compensate thermal error of machine tools under the real-time. This paper models of the thermal errors for error analysis and develops on-the-machine measurement system by which the volumetric error are measured and compensated. The thermal error is modeled by means of angularity errors of a column and thermal drift error of the spindle unit which are measured by the touch probe unit with a star type styluses, a designed spherical ball artifact, and five gap sensors. In order to compensate thermal characteristics under several operating conditions, experiments performed with five gap sensors and manufactured compensation device on the horizontal machining center.

  • Condition-based maintenance on wind turbines not only involves maintenance, but also encompasses servicing, inspection, measurement and evaluation of the condition of the unit. The current condition can be evaluated on the basis of machine-specific overall vibration values. Until now, overall vibration values had not been defined for wind turbines. In fact, ISO 10816-3 explicitly excludes wind power plants. The new VDI 3834 closes this gap shown in Sheet 1: Vibration values for wind turbines up to 3 MW. In addition to the new VDI 3834 is the ISO 10816-21 in preparation. The author of the article Dr. Edwin Becker is the nominated expert for Germany.
