Mobile communications is argued to reshape and activate the existing space by increasing 'mobile communicability en route' and 'real time interaction.' This study is designed to make an empirical analysis on how different the use of a cellular phone is in each different space. In this study, the space is divided into three distinct parts including the private, social and public space. First, spatial micro-coordination and experience of polysemy of place are widely observed in the use of a mobile phone in the private space. Secondly, it is found that a mobile phone contributes to extending the scope of social contacts which in turn compliments the existing social relationship. Moreover, a full-time intimate community that is connected via a mobile phone results in reshaping the social space. Lastly, the study shows that the usage pattern of a mobile phone varies depending on the type of public space. The technological development is envisaged to lead to more demand for the public space while facilitating the use of the public space.

In this study, we adopt the strength variation (equation omitted) of electromagnetic waves by their distance. The location of antenna emitting electromagnetic waves is moved to its opposite side and the distance between human body and antenna is secured more. Therefore, the cellular phone designed in this study can reduce the impact of electromagnetic waves absorbed in local part of human body (in particular, head) and then can have competitiveness in the world market facing the regulations.

This study investigates the usefulness of cellular and 'feature' phones in assisting students with self-motivated study at school and at home. It involves developing educational applications which can be used on these devices which, once developed, would be extended to students. Furthermore, this study seeks to investigate the merits of these mobile applications in assisting learners to study. It is my hope that this study can be used to develop the software to make these applications a reality. This study' ultimate purpose is to contribute to vitalizing and energizing mobile education.

In this papers, we made study for plastic chip antenna, the plastic is Foamex with the circle of PVC and its electric characteristics are dielectric constant 1.9, insulation intensity 112 KV/cm. The proposed antenna is same as the conventional antennas are usually constructed with ceramic chip, which are not fragile in nature and don't tend to break easily. Therefore the proposed antenna with its advantage is attractive for application in mobile antenna. In order to valid the proposed papers, it is implemented the antennas of four types and experimented. From the results, we conformed that the antennas are operated at the dual band which is cellular band and Korea-PCS band. And the gain of the antennas has about above -2 dB and the pattern is same as conventional antennas. From this papers, the realized antennas using Foamex material will be application for mobile phone antenna.

The level of competition has reached the limits in cellular phone market and the cellular phone manufacture companies started to focus their solution in user interface. Design issues with controllability led the development and renovation of such products to the use of the touch-screen phone. Depending upon the readability, technical advances, portability and controllability, user satisfaction of touch-screen phones could vary significantly. In this research, the controllability was dealt in regard to various grip postures, in order to improve menu layout which fits for using the thumbs of both hands and a thumbs of single hand. Regression models are found to the suggest the location of buttons on the screen by redesigning the menu layout, it is expected to improve both controllability and satisfaction of the user. This result can be applicable not only to mobile phone design, but also to the design of various hand-held devices using a touch screen.

The received signal of a mobile phone is normally sensed through two independent means which are the sound generation of a speaker and vibration generation of a vibration motor. As an improvement scheme to meet the consumer's demand on weight reduction and miniaturization of a mobile phone, the design and development of an integrated vibration and sound generating device are performed in this research. To this purpose, the optimal shapes of the voice coil. the permanent magnet and the vibration plate are designed, and the excitation force applied to the vibration system of the new device is estimated and verified through theoretical analyses, computer simulation, and experiments using an expanded model. In addition, vibration performance comparison of the device with the existing vibration motor is performed, and from the overall process, therefore, the method and procedure for the vibration performance analysis of the integrated vibration and sound generating device are established.

The research Is to complete the theoretical system on the basis of records about the cell phone and to study the improvement strategic using AHP and Conjoint Analysis which analyzes the consuming trend to customer's cell phone.

This study presents the remote control of a mobile robot using iPhone based on Wi-Fi communication. The paper proposes the following set of user interfaces : acceleration mode, arrow touch mode, and jog-shuttle mode. To evaluate the proposed three interfaces, a virtual robot is controlled in a monitor to follow a referenced trajectory using iPhone. In simulation, the standard deviation and summed errors are analysed for showing good and weak points of the proposed three interfaces. The proposed interface replace an additional remote controller requiring cost with a cellular phone. Results of an experiment show that the proposed interfaces can be effectively used for remote robot control.

The Korean mobile telecommunication service market is faced with a tremendous competitive period, in which the market is entering into the maturity stage with launching of the 3rd generation service and with introduction of mobile number portability. In general, it is more important to sustain the old customers than to attracting new customers, as the life cycle of an industry is entering the maturity stage in which the growth rate of new customers is decreasing gradually or becoming stagnant. Thus, mobile telecommunication business has to seek a way to maintain the existing customers instead of promoting new customers. So this study investigates whether the service quality of mobile telecommunication could have effects on the switching barrier of the industry. In order to test the hypothesis on the effects of service quality of mobile telecommunication in Korea on switching barrier, this study collected the questionnaire response data of students including middle and high school students and undergraduates, who are regarded as the major customers in that mobile telecommunication industry.
