  • Recently, most of the construction companies is being degraded due to the overall construction recession profitability. Among them, order quantity of the architectural and engineering firms are trend to decrease except for large companies over a certain size. In particular, small companies are facing more difficulties. This study was conducted expert interview method to extract the main cause of profitability degradation of a small-sized design engineering companies. And, we are proposes a critical influence factors through survey about extracted factors. The results of this study are expect to help the competitiveness of architectural design firm.

  • The concrete structure hasn't perfect waterproofing performance but if it doesn't have a joint part that could isolate a permeability. Concrete structure(communication tunnel and underground structure) has an expansion joint and construction joint. There are a lot of joint type after construction or expansion, shrinkage, vibration, over load, performance of decline etc.. they offer a water of way by variety change. In this reason, It carries in effect a waterproofing work for the concrete structure of waterproofing. but the structure has a behavior that cause a problem by waterproofing layer of damage, heaving phenomenon, temperature of shrinkage. In this study, we will estimate a field of application for Sealer of injection type for leakage maintenance of construction standard on the waterproofing performance.

  • The progression of curing of dementia is associated with a gradual decline in functional, cognitive, emotional and social abilities. Patients with dementia currently cause many social problems, which will become more serious in the near future. It is considered that patients with dementia are so much influenced by the quality of physical ward environment ; so we need to improve environment of dementia ward dept. Factors of physical environment which effect patients with dement1a can be classifided both into 'Interier design' ; material, color, lighting, equipment and auxiliary design and into 'Sense of sight & hearing' ; illumination, ornament & indication, noise, and fancy.

The role of tRNA-derived small RNAs in aging

  • Aging is characterized by a gradual decline in biological functions, leading to the increased probability of diseases and deaths in organisms. Previous studies have identified biological factors that modulate aging and lifespan, including non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs). Here, we review the relationship between aging and tRNA-derived small RNAs (tsRNAs), ncRNAs that are generated from the cleavage of tRNAs. We describe age-dependent changes in tsRNA levels and their functions in age-related diseases, such as cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. We also discuss the association of tsRNAs with aging-regulating processes, including mitochondrial respiration and reduced mRNA translation. We cover recent findings regarding the potential roles of tsRNAs in cellular senescence, a major cause of organismal aging. Overall, our review will provide useful information for understanding the roles of tsRNAs in aging and age-associated diseases.

  • Recently domestic youth unemployment rate has increased continuously. The cause is due to construction recession. As a result, the youth unemployment rate was approximately 8.0% in 2013. In particular, graduates of civil engineers and architecture engineers are difficult to find a new job. Major construction companies also prefer new employees rather than career employees. Therefore, the employment rate of construction-related university graduates is continuing decline. Accordingly, construction and technical engineers will be aging. Therefore, this study was looking for ways to promote the overseas expansion of young construction engineers. And this research has suggested the ways which young engineers can find a new job through improving the system.

  • Recently, due to increasing the application of power electronic equipment, harmonics generated from the non-liner load are fairly produced. Harmonics can cause a variety of problems such as the overheating of distribution transformer, the breakdown of device and communication interference. Interest about power quality decline of power system is very increased. In this paper, we are measured the harmonic voltage and current o( power system to analyze harmonic characteristics, and it is analyzed Total Harmonic Distortion(THD). Also, we Ere modeled power system using PSCAD/EMTDC. And it is analyzed harmonic voltage and current in steady-state. The study results have been indicated the utility about harmonics analysis and modelling for power system.

오존층파괴와 건강영향 (Overview of the Current State on Depletion of the Ozone Layer and Health Consequences)

  • There is increasing concern that depletion of the ozone layer may have important health consequences. Each $1\%$ decline in ozone concentration is expected to cause a $2\%$ increase in ultraviolet radiation this in turn has been suggested to lead to up to a $4-6\%$ increase in certain kinds of skin cancer. In Colorado state, malignant melanoma patients increased form 7.4 cases per 100,000 to 12.6 per 100,000 in the general population between 1979 and 1985. In Australia, 4,000 new melanomas are diagnosed each year and 800 people die every year from melanoma. Strong international controls CFCs production are necessary to lower the destruction of ozone in the stratosphere. Only then will the increase in ultraviolet radiation to the skin be halted and the incidence and mortality from melanomas be reduced.

  • The most of former schools facility have been planed and constructed with cement liquid waterproofing which is moth to be desired fir behavior of structure. However. It cause to decline safety for structure and also increase repairing cost that by leakage to behavior for thermal effects, Moreover, It is necessary for establishment fundamental counterplan of maintenance for schools facility to improve educational environment in budget support and proper diagnostic tech. and evaluation, repair reinforcement. In present paper, Firstly, we analyze out leakage and defect of schools facility of ㅇㅇ district office of education. Secondly, suggest the proper diagnostic tech. as leakage factor to develope efficiency of using space for durability and safety from leakage with suggestion the proper diagnostic.

Pneumothorax

  • Pneumothorax-either spontaneous or iatrogenic-is commonly encountered in pulmonary medicine. While secondary pneumothorax is caused by an underlying pulmonary disease, the spontaneous type occurs in healthy individuals without obvious cause. The British Thoracic Society (BTS, 2010) and the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP, 2001) published the guidelines for pneumothorax management. This review compares the diagnostic and management recommendations between the two societies. Patients diagnosed with primary spontaneous pneumothorax (PSP) may be observed without intervention if the pneumothorax is small and there are no symptoms. Oxygen therapy is only discussed in the BTS guidelines. If intervention is needed, BTS recommends a simple aspiration in all spontaneous and some secondary pneumothorax cases, whereas ACCP suggests a chest tube insertion rather than a simple aspiration. BTS and ACCP both recommend surgery for patients with a recurrent pneumothorax and persistent air leak. For patients who decline surgery or are poor surgical candidates, pleurodesis is an alternative recommended by both BTS and ACCP guidelines. Treatment strategies of iatrogenic pneumothorax are very similar to PSP. However, recurrence is not a consideration in iatrogenic pneumothorax.
